  • In this study, we propose a system for setting a Destination on CNS(Car Navigation System) or PNS(Personal Navigation System). The present Navigation does set the destination by only static method like name search, address search and wire telegraph telephone number search. But, the kind of setting a static destination does not reflect the dynamic moving situation. So we suggest setting the destination of navigation using Identifier of moving terminal. And it includes privacy protection on personal position information

  • Vehicle and marine navigation which are currently being commercialized provide route guidance service by specifying a fixed position as a destination. In the route guidance service of existing navigation, if the destination has to be changed in the middle, a new destination must be designated again to obtain the navigation service. However, if the destination can't be designated, it is difficult to clearly use it. In this paper, in order to overcome the difficulties of directions in the existing navigation, a new navigation specifying moving targets as the destination has been developed to get the directions. A proposed system is that a group is made and a group manager is appointed as a destination and then a user can get the route guidance based on location of the group manager. In the service way, relationship between the group manager and user is one-to-many and relationship between the user and group manager is one-to-one. The proposed technology is able to provide services that the user can easily find the moving targets such as the positioning surrogate drivers, tracking routes and location among travelers and finding children.

  • Moving sport tourism refers to travel that combines sport activity and tours to a particular destination. Although moving sport tourism is one of the fastest growing segments of the sport tourism industry, it is still lack of related-knowledge and academic studies. Hence, this study is conducted to explore the characteristics of moving sport tourism and to provide implications for sport tourism industry and future research. For this, ten participants who regularly participated in bicycle tours for the last 10 years were recruited for this study. The sample consisted of 9 males and 1 female. The average age of the participants was 44.6 years of which all but 2 had a full-time job. The average period of participating in bicycle tour was 7.9 years. For analysing data, content analysis approach was used. Interviews were tape recoded and data were multiple reviewed to identify the similar themes and to categorize them into conceptual constructs. Results suggest two requirements of moving sport tourism(moving and concurrent), three characteristics of moving sport tourism(self-directed, exploring, non-linear, purposive-riding, partial competitive, cultural touring) and two categories of moving sport tourism(full moving sport tourism and partial moving sport tourism). Implications for sport tourism industry and future studies were discussed.

  • In this paper, we propose an DSR(Dynamic Source Routing) protocol to support QoS for reliable data transmission in the mobile ad-hoc network. The proposed algorithm uses DSR protocol to support QoS as its basic routing protocol, and uses the nodes which are between source and destination nodes as key QoS support. Because of moving nodes there is some problem that is restricted reliable data transmission. For solve this problem, source node set up the QoS link with destination node. The nodes that are located at QoS link and find out loss of transmission path save the transmitting data packets. Those search a new transmission path to destination node and transmit the saved data packet to destination node. As the result of evaluation, we found the proposed QoS network guaranteed reliable data transmission with almost 100% data reception rate for slowly moving mobile ad-hoc network and with more 96% data reception rate, which is improvement of 3.7737% reception rate compared with none QoS network, for continuously fast moving mobile ad-hoc network.

  • In this paper, we propose an active network to support reliable data transmission in the mobile ad-hoc network. The active network uses DSR(Dynamic Source Routing) protocol as its basic routing protocol, and uses source and destination nodes as key active nodes. For reliable improvement the source node is changed to source active node to add function that its buffer to store the last data with the flow control for data transmission per destination node. The destination node is changed to destination active node to add function that it requests the re-transmission for data that was not previously received by the destination active node with the flow control for data reception per source active node As the result of evaluation. we found the proposed active network guaranteed reliable data transmission with almost 100% data reception rate for slowly moving mobile ad-hoc network and with more 95% data reception rate, which is improvement of 3.5737% reception rate compared with none active network, for continuously fast moving mobile ad-hoc network.

  • The subject of navigation has drawn a large interest in the last few years. The navigation within a city is to find the path between two points, source location and destination location. In many cities, solving the routing problem is very essential as to find the route between different locations (starting location (source) and an ending location (destination)) in a fast and efficient way. This paper considers streets with diagonal streets. Such streets pose a problem in determining the directions of the route to be followed. The paper presents a solution for the path planning using the reconfigurable mesh (R-Mesh). R-Mesh is a parallel platform that has very fast solutions to many problems and can be deployed in moving vehicles and moving robots. This paper presents a solution that is very fast in computing the routes.

  • The subject of navigation has drawn a large interest in the last few years. Navigation problem (or path planning) finds the path between two points, source location and destination location. In smart cities, solving navigation problem is essential to all residents and visitors of such cities to guide them to move easily between locations. Also, the navigation problem is very important in case of moving robots that move around the city or part of it to get some certain tasks done such as delivering packages, delivering food, etc. In either case, solution to the navigation is essential. The core to navigation systems is the navigation algorithms they employ. Navigation algorithms can be classified into navigation algorithms that depend on maps and navigation without the use of maps. The map contains all available routes and its directions. In this proposal, we consider the first class. In this paper, we are interested in getting path planning solutions very fast. In doing so, we employ a parallel platform, Reconfigurable mesh (R-Mesh), to compute the path from source location to destination location. R-Mesh is a parallel platform that has very fast solutions to many problems and can be deployed in moving vehicles and moving robots. This paper presents two algorithms for path planning. The first assumes maps with linear streets. The second considers maps with branching streets. In both algorithms, the quality of the path is evaluated in terms of the length of the path and the number of turns in the path.

  • "Domestic delivery service" is defined the service to deliver goods or packages from point of senders to point of receiver. With the characteristics of door to door, it is must a service provider should know the exact location of destination assuring best utilization of moving path. Generally, location information consist of postal code and address only, which result in difficulties to identify the precise location of destination. It is relatively less correlated between the information that address refers and practical location in Korea address system. For example, the next door to house number 100 is not always house number 101. Therefore, a delivery man additionally uses a paper map or a GPS navigation which carry extra job to input every code of location to the device in order to know precise location. It is also very inconvenient that every delivery man identify the location that address information refers and make a personal decision of the optimum moving path dropping each destination without calculating provisioning process of whole delivery path. As explained above, it is inefficient to find information delivery service required and to generate the optimum path. In results, these difficulties bring in delay of service and increase of cost. In this point, the contents of the thesis suggest a GPS navigation system easy to obtain accuracy of delivery information which enables to automate optimum moving path based on RFID which contains location information.

  • In this paper, a smartphone-controlled personal mobility system (PMS) with semi-autonomous navigation is developed. The proposed PMS moves to waypoints and then reaches the destination where the waypoints and destination are selected by the user using Google maps in a smartphone. The hardware environment consists of a GPS (Global Positioning System) in the smartphone and a compass sensor. In addtion, while it is moving in autonomous mode, the user can intervene and change the direction and speed of the PMS in order to avoid obstacles that may be encountered accidentally in a dynamic environment. That is why it is called "semi-autonomous navigation". Experimental results showed that the proposed PMS is effectively able to migrate to the waypoints and destination in both autonomous and manual modes.

  • The LBS (Location-Based Services) are valuable information services combined the location of moving object with various contents such as map, POI (point of Interest), route and so on. The must general service of LBS is route determination service and its applicable parts are FMS (Fleet Management System), travel advisory system and mobile navigation system. The core function of route determination service is determination of optimal route from source to destination in various environments. The MODB (Moving Object Database) system, core part of LBS composition systems, is able to manage current or past location information of moving object and massive trajectory information stored in MODB is value-added data in CRM, ERP and data mining part. Also this past trajectory information can be helpful to determine optimal route. In this paper, we suggest methods to determine optimal route by querying past trajectory information in MODB system and verify the effectiveness of suggested method.
