RFID 태그플로어 방식의 내비게이션에 관한 연구 (A Study on the RFID Tag-Floor Based Navigation)

  • We are moving into the era of ubiquitous computing. Ubiquitous Sensor Network (USN) is a base of such computing paradigm, where recognizing the identification and the position of objects is important. For the object identification, RFID tags are commonly used. For the object positioning, use of sensors such as laser and ultrasonic scanners is popular. Recently, there have been a few attempts to apply RFID technology in robot localization by replacing the sensors with RFID readers to achieve simpler and unified USN settings. However, RFID does not provide enough sensing accuracy for some USN applications such as robot navigation, mainly because of its inaccuracy in distance measurements. In this paper, we describe our approach on achieving accurate navigation using RFID. We solely rely on RFID mechanism for the localization by providing coordinate information through RFID tag installed floors. With the accurate positional information stored in the RFID tag, we complement coordinate errors accumulated during the wheel based robot navigation. We especially focus on how to distribute RFID tags (tag pattern) and how many to place (tag granularity) on the RFID tag-floor. To determine efficient tag granularities and tag patterns, we developed a simulation program. We define the error in navigation and use it to compare the effectiveness of the navigation. We analyze the simulation results to determine the efficient granularities and tag arrangement patterns that can improve the effectiveness of RFID navigation in general.

지지면의 수평 진동에 따른 동적 자세 제어 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Characteristic of Dynamic Postural Control during Horizontal Translation of Support Surface)

  • This paper investigated the effects of dynamic postural control for maintaining upright standing on a support surface during continuous sinusoidal horizontal translation in anterior-posterior direction. 15 healthy young subjects participated in this experiment. The analysis of body movement was analyzed using Ariel Performance Analysis System. Motion pattern was analyzed by seven markers on subject's body. Position of markers were head, chest, hip, right knee, left knee, right ankle and left ankle. Seven different frequencies of support surface were employed ; 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.5 and 2Hz at 2cm of moving path of motionbase. The experiments were performed dynamic postural reponses at the condition of eye open. The results showed that median frequency of the knee, ankle were increased in all frequency bands. Following the frequency of perturbation increased, postural control strategy was changed from ankle strategy to combined strategy. The experiment results could be applied to the dynamic postural training for the elderly and the rehabilitation training for the patients to improving the ability of postural control.

과열증기처리에 의한 Burley종 각초의 물리성 및 연기성분 변화에 관한 연구 (Effect of Super Heated Steam Treatment on Physical Property and Smoke Component of Burley Cut Tobacco)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of super heated steam on the physical and chemical changes of burley cut tobacco. Total sugar, total alkaloid, ether extracts, crude ash, total nitrogen and pH for leaf chemical constituents were analyzed. Filling power and fineness index for physical properties, and carbonyl compounds, phenol compounds, amonia, pH, hydrogen cyanide nicotine, carbon monoxide, total volatile base and tar for smoke components were also analyzed. The cut tobacco treated with super heated steam showed significant decrease in total sugar and total alkaloid. The filling power of the sample treated with the super heated steam system was increased abruptly when heated at over 250℃. The fineness index showed similar tendency to that of common toast method. Super heated steam treatment slightly decreased carbonyl compounds, phenol compounds, hydrogen cyanide, nicotine, carbon monoxide and tar in the tobacco. Especially the decrease of ammonia was the most remarkable. The pH of smoke was a little different compared with that in the common toast. The sensory test results showed that, compared to the common conveyer moving system, the tobacco treated with super heated steam system brought out more roasted flavor, lowered impact, irritation, and sting, further improved aftertaste, and lowered bitterness. The super heated steam treatment method used in the studies is expected to give better filling power, mild taste and toasted odor of tobacco than that of the common method for toast treatment. It presents the design of the safety press die with suitable structure in the Product's attribute which it had shown in samples, There is a possibility of being difficult because the attribute of safety die design that had present all the productions from research does not agree each other. but because the representative process which is used most at sample had designed, If you were imitates with safety die design base which is presented from this research, It comes to be thought to be the part which can are used at the various sides.

  • An integrated riser heating equipment has been developed to control shrinkage defects originated from casting of a marine propeller. The integrated riser heating equipment is composed of up/down moving parts, heating power source parts and an integrated controller. Heat capacity putting into the riser was calculated quantitatively on the base of a heat transfer analysis, which consisted of the establishment of heating model and the theoretical analysis for heat transfer. The riser heating equipment was evaluated through arc heating and electro-slag heating method. With the results, the arc type heating method was selected by considering high thermal efficiency, inexpensive cost, and convenient workship. This equipment improves the quality of a propeller casting and the poor working environment.

  • 본 논문에서는 보안 시스템에서 사람 인식을 위한 중요한 단서 중의 하나인 사람의 키를 측정하는 알고리즘으로, 이미지 시퀀스에서 사람의 영역을 추출하고 기하학적 정보를 이용해 추출된 사람의 키를 측정하고자 한다. 이를 위해 단일 이동 물체 사람을 대상으로 하여 시퀀스 이미지에서 사람의 움직임 정보를 추출하고, 추출된 영역에서 수직히스토그램 투영을 하여 사람의 중심선을 찾아 머리와 발의 좌표점을 추출한다. 추출된 좌표점들은 소실점과 소실선의 기하학적 해석과 미리 입력한 다른 물체의 기준 높이를 가지고 실세계에서의 사람의 키를 측정하게 된다.

  • This paper deals with the forward kinematics of the 6-6 Stewart platform of planar base and moving platform using one extra linear sensor. Based on algebraic elimination method, it first derives an 8th-degree univariate equation and then finds tentative solution sets out of which the actual solution is to be selected. In order to provide more exact solution despite the error between measured sensor value and the theoretic alone, a correction method is also used in this paper. The overall procedure requires so little computation time that it can be efficiently used for real-time applications. In addition, unlike the iterative scheme e.g. Newton-Raphson, the algorithm does not require initial estimates of solution and is free of the problems that it does not converge to actual solution within limited time. The presented method has been implemented in C language and a numerical example is given to confirm the effectiveness and accuracy of the developed algorithm.

구아리노 구아리니의 종교 건축에서 나타나는 생성 다이어그램에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Generative Diagram in Guarino Guarini's Religious Buildings)

  • Guarino Guarini(1624-1683) is one of great Baroque architects who developed new spatial concept in architecture. He refused to static space typically appeared in Renaissance architecture. Instead, to make it possible to generate complicate form and moving space, he made use of generative diagram. It provide him with an abstract machine to generate automatically architectural inferiority. His generative diagram consists of three types: single circle diagram, matrix diagram and longitudinal diagram. The first diagram uses single circle as primary generator and develop this by means of overlap and equiangular division. La Cappella della Santissima Sindone, Sanctuary of Chiesa di Oropa, Chiesa dei Padri Somaschi, San Gaetano are designed according to this diagram. The generator of the second diagram is nine circles in $3{\times}3$ matrix, which provide the base for the interpenetration of space in Guarini's architecture. He inspired this diagram from Kepler's $\ulcorner$Harmonices mundi$\lrcorner$. The Churches of San Lorenzo, Ste-Anne-la-Royale, San Filippo Neri, San Gaetano are generated by this diagram. The third diagram has several circles in Lantin-cross plan. Guarini adopted this diagram because he had chances to design several churches in Northern Europe. The churches of Santa Maria di Ettinga, Immacolata Concezione, San Maria della Divina Providenza, Church without Name, San Filippo Neri are representative examples for this diagram.

A Robust Wearable u-Healthcare Platform in Wireless Sensor Network

  • Wireless sensor network (WSN) is considered to be one of the most important research fields for ubiquitous healthcare (u-healthcare) applications. Healthcare systems combined with WSNs have only been introduced by several pioneering researchers. However, most researchers collect physiological data from medical nodes located at static locations and transmit them within a limited communication range between a base station and the medical nodes. In these healthcare systems, the network link can be easily broken owing to the movement of the object nodes. To overcome this issue, in this study, the fast link exchange minimum cost forwarding (FLE-MCF) routing protocol is proposed. This protocol allows real-time multi-hop communication in a healthcare system based on WSN. The protocol is designed for a multi-hop sensor network to rapidly restore the network link when it is broken. The performance of the proposed FLE-MCF protocol is compared with that of a modified minimum cost forwarding (MMCF) protocol. The FLE-MCF protocol shows a good packet delivery rate from/to a fast moving object in a WSN. The designed wearable platform utilizes an adaptive linear prediction filter to reduce the motion artifacts in the original electrocardiogram (ECG) signal. Two filter algorithms used for baseline drift removal are evaluated to check whether real-time execution is possible on our wearable platform. The experiment results shows that the ECG signal filtered by adaptive linear prediction filter recovers from the distorted ECG signal efficiently.

  • A moving mass on a skewed linear guideway model to analyze the friction-induced stick-slip behavior of ball-screw-driven slides is proposed. To describe the friction force, a friction coefficient function is modelled as a third-order polynomial of the relative velocity between the slide mass and a guideway. A nonlinear differential equation of motion is derived and an approximate solution is obtained using a perturbation method for the amplitudes and base frequencies of both pure-slip and stick-slip oscillations. The results are presented with time responses, phase plots, and amplitude plots, which are compared adequately with those obtained by Runge Kutta 4th-order numerical integration, as long as the difference between the static and kinematic friction coefficients is small. However, errors in the results by the approximate solution increase and are not negligible if the difference between the friction coefficients exceeds approximately 40% of the static friction coefficient.
