Researches for NN(nearest neighbor) query which is often used in LBS system, have been worked. However, Conventional NN query processing techniques are usually meaningless in moving object management system for LBS since their results may be invalidated as soon as the query and data objects move. To solve these problems, in this paper we propose a new nearest neighbor query processing technique, called CTNN, which is possible to meet continuous trajectory nearest neighbor query processing. The proposed technique consists of Approximate CTNN technique which has quick response time, and Exact CTNN technique which makes it possible to search accurately nearest neighbor objects. Experimental results using GSTD datasets showed that the Exact CTNN technique has high accuracy, but has a little low performance for response time. They also showed that the Approximate CTNN technique has low accuracy comparing with the Exact CTNN, but has high response time.

It is difficult to separate those of NC controller from the error of machine tools because the conventional testing methods to inspect the performance are including the errors of moving system, therefore it has been used as the methods that compare the other controllers. Also, it is hard to predict the machine itself errors with the methods assembling the NC controller and moving system on machine because of the variable load conditions. In this study, the performance inspecting system was developed by analyse the $axis\_rotating$ properties of servo system finally outputting from NC controller. The axis torque was controlled by motor dynamometer and the rotating position accuracy was measured by this developed system.

Although laser interferometer measurement system has the advantage of range and accuracy, the traditional error measurement methods for geometric errors(two straightness and three angular errors) of a machine tool measures error components one at a time. It may also create an optical path difference and affect the measurement accuracy. In order to identify and compensate for geometric error of a moving body, an on-line measurement system for simultaneous detection of the five error components of a moving axis is required. An on-line measurement system with 5 degrees of freedom was developed for geometric error detection. Performance verification of the system was performed on an error generating mechanism. Experimental results show the feasibility of this system for identifying geometric errors of a side of machine tool.

This research investigates contact angle of Linear Guide Way through a experimental result and theoretical analysis. Since last ten years, most of researchers who concerned with the precision machinery and semiconductor device production etc. so the researches about Linear Guide Way have been unnoticed. The precision machinery and semiconductor device production system has the principle which transfers the mechanical moving to accuracy position control. The Linear Guide Way system has the principle which transfers mechanical moving to accuracy position control is very important to improve performance of the precision machinery and semiconductor device production system. So, In this research, in order to improvement for producing Linear Guide Way, bearing loading analysis and contact angle change through Linear Guide Way theoretical analysis and bearing modeling. Through this study, we may expect that there will be more improvement for producing Linear Guide Way.

A Digital Terrain Model (DTM) consists of two components;one is sampling of the terrain imformation, and the other is interpolation. The present study aims at the investigation of the accuracy and efficiency of Moving Average and Linear Prediction interpolation methods by numerical experiment. Basic input data are the elerations in square grid which procured by photogrammetry, and the accuracy of each interpolation is investigated on different grid size, terrain type and pattern of reference points.
In this study, we propose a frequency domain spectral element method (SEM) for the vibration analysis of a multi-span beam subjected to a moving point force. This study is an extension of the authors' previous study for a single-span beam subjected to a moving point force, where the two-element model-based SEM was applied. In this study, each span of a multi-span beam is represented by the Timoshenko beam model and the moving point force is transformed into the frequency domain as a series of each stationary point force distributed on the multi-span beam. The span at which a stationary point force is located is represented by two-element model, but all other spans are represented by one-element models. The vibration responses to a moving point force are obtained by superposing all individual vibration responses generated by each stationary point force. The high accuracy and computational efficiency of the proposed SEM are verified by comparing the solutions by SEM with exact analytical solutions by the integral transform method (ITM) as well as the solutions by the finite element method (FEM).

A moving window technique for detecting a lane and obstacles using the Images captured by a CCD camera attached in an automobile, is proposed in this paper To process the dynamic images in real time, there could be many constraints on the hardware To overcome these hardware constraints and to detect the lane and obstacles in real time, the optimal size of window IS determined based upon road conditions and automobile states. By utilizing the sub-Images inside the windows, detection of the lane and obstacles become possible m real time. For each Image frame, the moving windows are re-determined following the predicted directions based on Kalman filtering theory to Improve detection accuracy, as well as efficiency The feasibility of proposed algorithm IS demonstrated through the simulated experiments of highway driving.

In this paper. dynamic behavior of the cracked beam under a moving mass is presented using the finite element method (FEM). Model accuracy is improved with the following consideration: (1) FE model with Timoshenko beam element (2) Additional flexibility matrix due to crack presence (3) Interaction forces between the moving mass and supported beam. The Timoshenko bean model with a two-node finite element is constructed based on Guyan condensation that leads to the results of classical formulations. but in a simple and systematic manner. The cracked section is represented by local flexibility matrix connecting two unchanged beam segments and the crack as modeled a massless rotational spring. The inertia force due to the moving mass is also involved with gravity force equivalent to a moving load. The numerical tests for various mass levels. crack sizes. locations and boundary conditions were performed.

In the moving target problem, the velocity information of the moving target is very important as well as the high accuracy position information. To solve this problem, active researches are being conducted recently with combine the Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) and Frequency Delay of Arrival(FDOA) measurements. However, since the FDOA measurement is utilizing the Doppler effect due to the relative velocity between the target source and the receiver sensor, it may be difficult to use the FDOA measurement if the moving target speed is not sufficiently fast. In this paper, we propose a method for estimating the position and the velocities of the target by using only the TDOA measurements for the low speed moving target in the indoor environment with sensor network. First, the target position and heading angle are obtained from the estimated positions of two attached transmitters on the target. Then, the target angular and linear velocities are also estimated. In addtion, we apply the Instrumental Variable (IV) technique to compensate the estimation error of the estimated target velocity. In simulation, the performance of the proposed algorithm is verified.
