Single phase induction motor(SPIM) is used widely because it is driven by single phase source. However, the efficiency of the motor is not good due to saturation of magnetic material. To analyze the motor accurately, the magnetic saturation characteristics should be considered in analysis of equivalent circuit. In this paper, lumped parameter of circuit are derived from multi phase induction motor using method of symmetrical coordinates. Also, we presents a method for the equivalent circuit analysis of SPIM using magnetic saturation rate. The magnetic nonlinearity is considered deriving magnetizing reactance from voltage-current saturation curve. As a results, current characteristic, torque, output and efficiency are shown through analysis of equivalent circuit. A simulation results of SPIM will be used to improve the characteristics and efficiency of motor.

PURPOSE: This study is to examine the effects of different types of tasks on gait functions of chronic stroke patients when different types of dual tasks were applied while the patients were implementing practical and continuous circuit tasks using their upper and lower extremities circulating many workbenches. METHODS: Forty-four chronic stroke patients were divided into a dual motor circuit task training group, a dual cognitive circuit task training group and a simple task training group. Before training, all the patients were identically encouraged to receive conservative physical therapy for 30 minutes by a physical therapist were thereafter made to train for 30 minutes, five times a week for a total of eight weeks with individual additional tasks. The dual motor circuit task training consisted of continuous circuit training motor tasks and additional motor tasks and the dual cognitive circuit task training consisted of tasks combining the same circuit training motor tasks and additional cognitive tasks. The simple task training consisted of natural walks on a flat terrain to the front, rear and lateral sides of the terrain. Changes in functional gait abilities made through the training were evaluated using GAITRite. SPSS Win 12.0 was used for the data analysis. RESULTS: As for the gait variables that showed significant differences in comparison between the groups over the training period, the dual motor circuit task training group showed more significant differences than the dual cognitive circuit task training group and the simple task training group at 4 weeks and 8 weeks of training(p<.05). CONCLUSION: Therefore, it could be seen that the practical and continuous dual circuit task training was more effective than simple task training on gait. In comparison between the types of dual tasks, the dual motor circuit task training group showed more effects than the dual cognitive circuit task training group.
In some requirements of dc motor drive circuit applications are high quality output with generation of low internal conducted EMI. However the conventional dc motor drive circuits have been usually using unbalanced circuit which generates the high conducted EMI to the frame ground. This paper presents a balanced dc motor drive circuit which is effective way to reduce the common-mode noise. The circuit balancing is to make the noise pick up or occurring in both conductor lines, signal path and return path is equal in amplitude and opposite phase so that it will cancel out in the frame ground. The common-mode conducted noise reduction of this proposed dc motor drive is confirmed by experimental results.

Purpose : This study is to examine the effects of different task-related circuit training by types of tasks on the depression and quality of life in stroke patients. Method : Forty-four chronic stroke patients were divided into a dual motor circuit task training group, a dual cognitive circuit task training group and a simple task training group. Over the course of eight weeks, before training, all the patients were identically encouraged to receive conservative physical therapy for 30 minutes, five times a week for a total of eight weeks with individual additional tasks. The dual motor circuit tasks training consisted of continuous circuit training motor tasks and additional motor tasks and the dual cognitive circuit task training consisted of tasks combining the same circuit training motor tasks and additional cognitive tasks. The simple task training consisted of natural walks on a flat terrain to the front, rear and lateral sides of the terrain. Result : As for the Stroke-Specific Quality of Life(SS-QOL) that showed significant diffe rences in comparison between the groups over the training period, the dual motor circuit task training group showed statistically significant differences in both different types of tasks at 8 weeks(p<.05). The score of Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS) decreased in three groups, in the HADS showed significant changes over the training time in the three training groups(p<.05). Conclusion : It could be seen that the practical and continuous dual circuit task training was more effective than simple task training on quality of life. In comparison between the types of dual tasks, the dual motor circuit task training group showed more effects than the dual cognitive circuit task training group. This researcher hopes that the results of this study will be actively applied as rehabilitation methods for chronic stroke patients.

This study proposes the mitigation method for overcurrent and oscillation motor current in an active short-circuit operation. This operation is attracting attention as the safe state of electric vehicle traction inverters. However, the active short-circuit operation generates oscillation and overcurrent of motor currents during a transient state. The proposed method uses two different safe states in PMSM, such as active short circuit and freewheeling. The active short circuit is used for safe state in a steady state. To reduce the overshoot and oscillation, a freewheeling state is injected between active short-circuit operation by comparing the motor phase current with an analytically calculated steady-state motor current. Freewheeling state is only used in a transient state. The performance is demonstrated through simulations and experimental results. The peak current of the motor was reduced from 52 A to 40 A, and oscillation time was reduced.
A Single-phase condensor motor is analyzed by FEM coupled with external circuit. The finite element analysis is based on the solution of combined equation both the magnetic field equation from the Maxwell's and the circuit equations of the stator and rotor circuit. The external circuit of the single-phase condensor motor to be analyzed is described using FLUX2D and linked to multiple FEM regions. The simulated results show that the condensor motor analysis with external circuit has good agreement with those of test results.
General steady state equivalent circuits are derived for the family of single phase motor having two windings with non-quadrature. First, the fundamental voltage equations of motor are derived by Faraday-Krichhoff's low in the fiew of the flux distribution in the modified motor with Kron primitive machine. Those equations are arranged in to f-b equations by transformation matrix. To using the above equations for circuit; 1) The concept of current-source was much help to sove the realtions between matrix impedance equation and circuit analysis 2) The simplification of the circuit to the mutual impedance matrix elements is easy to considerations of motor characteristics in the case of inserted external auxiliary winding impedance. Finally, this equivalent circuit showing as a single phase induction motor with quadrature winding is described by each conditions.

In this paper, a three-dimensional finite element method and construction of equivalent-circuit for a linear ultrasonic motor are presented. The validity of three-dimensional finite element routine in this paper is experimentally confirmed by analyzing impedance of a piezoelectric transducer. Using this confirmed finite element routine, impedance and vibration mode of a linear ultrasonic motor are calculated. Elliptical motion of contact point between vibrator and rail of the linear ultrasonic motor is shown for determination of contact points. By using the finite element method and analytic equations, characteristics of the linear ultrasonic motor, such as thrust force, speed, losses, powers and efficiency, are calculated. The results are confirmed by experiment. Finally, equivalent circuit parameters of the linear ultrasonic motor are obtained using the three-dimensional finite element method and analytic equations.

The induction motor is widely used in the power equipments of the ship and the various industrial drive applications because it is robust and relatively simple and cheap to manufacture, but it has a disadvantage that the speed of induction motor is not controlled in wide range such as d.c motor. In this paper, the characteristics relating to the Kramer system that the speed of three phase wound type induction motor is controlled by changing the exciting e.m.f. of the secondary circuit is described. In order to analyze the characteristics, a new simplified and approximated T-type equivalent circuit from the Kramer circuit with three phase graetz connection and d.c machine is proposed. The stator current, motor torque and mechanical output power are computed by the current, torque and power equations derived by its equivalent circuit. Through the experiments, the $I_f-N$, torque-slip and current-slip characteristic curves of the tested motor are obtained and the various needed constants are determined. The numerical values obtained from the above method are compared with experimental values under the same conditions. As a result of the above investigation, it is found that the induction motor speed by the Kramer system is controlled by 28 per cent under the rated speed by changing the field current of d.c motor and the values computed by the current and torque equations derived by the simplified and approximated T-type equivalent circuit generally come to approach the experimental values.

The characteristics of the stator current and torque of a small three- phase squirrel cage induction motor and studied experimentally under the situation of a single-phase operation due to various causes. Through the experiments, the torque-slip and current-slip curve of single-phase circuit as well as three-phase circuit are obtained and the needed constants are determined. The stator current and torque are calculated by the current and torque equations derived by the unbalanced circuit theory. The numerical values obtained from the above methods are compared with the experimental values under the same conditions. The results of the study are summerized as follow; 1) The values computed by the unbalanced circuit theory generally come to approach the values recorded through experiments. 2) Near the rated load, speed drop is less than 1.2 per cent of the speed of three-phase induction motor and torque reduces less than 3 per cent of it of three-phase induction motor when three-phase induction motor is run under a single-phase. On the other hand, the stator current in a single-phase circuit is more than 1.9 times of it in three-phase circuit. 3) The stalling torque in a single-phase circuit is reduced to about 41 per cent of it in three-phase circuit while the corresponding slip is moved toward the synchroneous speed and the corresponding stator current is increased.
