저소음 청소기 개발 (Low Noise Vacuum Cleaner Design)

  • Vacuum cleaner is a close life product that can remove various dusts from our surroundings. However well vacuum cleaner clean our environments, many people are looking away from it, due to its loud noise. Its noise causes a big trouble in the usual life, for example, catch calls, TV watching and discussing etc. To reduce these inconveniences, noise reduction methods and systematic design of low noise vacuum cleaner are studied in this paper. At first, sound quality investigation is performed to get the noise level and quality that make people TV watching and catch calls available. Based on the European and domestic customer SQ survey result, sound power, peak noise level and target sound spectrum guideline are studied and introduced. As a second, precise product sound spectrums are designed into each part based on the sound quality result. Fan-motor, brush, mainbody, cyclone spectrums are decided to get the final target sound based on the contribution level. Fan-motor is the major noise source of vacuum cleaner. Specially, its peak sound, RPM peak and BPF Peak, cause the people nervous. To reduce these peak sounds, high rotating impeller and diffuser are focused due to its interaction. A lot of experimental and numerical tests, operation points are investigated and optimization of flow path area between diffusers is performed. As a bagless device, cyclones are one of the major noise sources of vacuum cleaner. To reduce its noise, previous research is used and adopted well. Brush is the most difficult part to reduce noise. Its noise sources are all comes from aero-acoustic phenomena. Numerical analysis helps the understanding of flow structure and pattern, and a lot of experimental test are performed to reduce the noise. Gaps between the carpet and brush are optimized and flow paths are re-designed to lower the noise. Reduction is performed with keeping the cleaning efficiency and handling power together and much reduction of noise is acquired. With all above parts, main-body design is studied. To do a systematic design, configuration design developments technique is introduced from airplane design and evolved with each component design. As a first configuration, fan-motor installation position is investigated and 10 configuration ideas are developed and tested. As a second step, reduced size and compressed configuration candidates are tested and evaluated by a lot of major factor. Noise, power, mass production availability, size, flow path are evaluated together. If noise reduction configuration results in other performance degrade, the noise reduction configuration is ineffective. As a third configuration, cyclones are introduced and the size is reduced one more time and fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh configuration are evolved with size and design image with noise and other performance indexes. Finally we can get a overall much noise level reduction configuration. All above investigations are adopted into vacuum cleaner design and final customer satisfaction tests in Europe are performed. 1st grade sound quality and lowest noise level of bagless vacuum cleaner are achieved.

무선진공청소기 팬 모터 단품의 유량성능 향상과 공력소음 저감을 위한 임펠라 최적설계 (Optimal design of impeller in fan motor unit of cordless vacuum cleaner for improving flow performance and reducing aerodynamic noise)

  • 본 논문에서는 무선진공청소기용 팬 모터 단품의 유량 및 소음성능을 향상시키기 위하여 무선청소기 유로를 통하여 공기를 흡입하는 임펠라에 대한 최적설계를 수행하였다. 우선, 팬 모터 단품, 특히 임펠라의 유동장을 분석하기 위하여 비정상, 비압축성 Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS) 방정식을 전산유체역학(Computational Fluid Dynamics, CFD)에 기초하여 해석하였다. 예측한 유동장 정보를 입력값으로 Ffowcs-Williams and Hawkings(FW-H) 방정식을 사용하여 임펠라로부터 방사되는 소음을 수치적으로 예측하였다. 유량과 소음에 대한 수치해석 결과를 실험을 통해 측정한 팬 모터 단품의 P-Q 곡선과 음압 스펙트럼과 비교하여 사용한 수치방법의 유효성을 확인하였다. 수치해석결과로부터 임펠라 날개의 코드방향 중간부분의 급격한 곡률 변화로 인하여 강한 와류가 형성되는 것을 확인하였다. 와류는 유동에는 손실로 소음에는 소음원으로 작용하기 때문에 기존의 임펠라를 재설계하여 와류를 개선하고자 하였다. 2인자 반응표면방법을 사용하여 최대유량과 최소소음을 나타내는 입·출구 뒷젖힘각(sweep angle)을 결정하였다. 최종 선정된 설계안에 대한 추가 해석을 통하여 유량성능과 소음성능이 개선됨을 확인하였다.

CFD를 이용한 선풍기 날개의 스태킹 라인 최적 설계 (Design optimization of the staking line for an electric fan blade using CFD)

  • 선풍기는 유도 전동기에 의해 구동되는 축류형 날개를 가진 기계이다. 본 연구에서는 기본 설계된 선풍기의 날개를 바탕으로 스태킹 라인의 최적 설계를 통해 선풍기의 성능 향상을 목표로 하였다. 전산 해석을 위해 상용 툴인 Ansys 사(社)의 CFX 14.5를 이용하였고, 난류 모델은 k-${\omega}$ SST 를 사용하였다. 설계 변수는 스윕 각과 기울기 각으로 설정하였고, 유량과 토크를 목적함수로 설정하여 스태킹 라인의 최적화를 수행하였다. 최적화 결과 풍량이 증가하였고, 토크가 감소함을 확인 하였다. 최적화된 모델과 기본 모델은 KS C 9301을 이용하여 측정되었으며, 전산 해석 결과를 검증하였다.

유한요소법을 이용한 냉각홴의 진동 및 간섭에 관한 연구 (A Study on Resonance and Interference of a Cooling Fan Assembly by Using FEM)

  • A CFA(cooling fan assembly) is composed of a fan, motor and shroud, which is at the back of the automotive radiator. By forcing the wind to pass, the CFA controls the cooling performance of the radiator. The noise and vibration of the CFA may be primarily due to the resonance between the CFA and engine. The Interference among the fan, shroud and radiator by deformation is considered when the CFA is designed. In this paper, in order to analyze the structural vibration of the CFA for automobiles, a finite element model of the CFA is established by using a commercial FEM code. After the finite element modeling, the natural frequencies and the mode shapes are obtained from the FE analysis. The natural frequencies are obtained from the vibration test as well. Then, the results of the vibration test are compared with those of the FE analysis. The natural frequencies obtained by experiment have a great similarity to the results from FE model. We have confirmed the validity of the FE model and verify the structural safety for the resonance. The stress and displacements are obtained from FE analysis. We have confirmed the safety for the interference and failure.

  • 본 논문에서는 영구자석 오버행 구조를 가진 소형 BLDC 팬 모터의 효율 향상을 위한 연구를 하였다. 2차원 해석시 오버행에 따른 유효자속량을 고려한 오버행 계수를 산정하여 3차원 해석모델을 2차원 등가화가 가능하게 하여 실험하였다. 그리고 기존의 BLDC 팬 모터에 돌극형 회전자 철심을 삽입하여 영구자석 토크에 릴럭턴스 토크를 추가로 활용함으로써 효율을 향상시키는 연구를 하였다.

Water Caves of Liaoning in Northeastern China -Shenyang Water Cave and Benxi Water Cave-

  • To introduce the typical water caves of the northeastern district in China, the Shenyang Water Cave located in the Shenyang city and the Benxi Water Cave located in the Benxi city of the Liaoning province of the northeastern part of China are presented. The caves are very big and long, and the water flows in the cave to drive the motor boat for tourist watching the beautiful sight in the caves through the year. The geological information and the beautiful internal sight of views in the caves are introduced.

  • In this paper we proposed a new sensorless drive system for the trapezoidal type brushless DC motor which does not use any mechanical position or speed sensor and applicable to the systems requiring a constant speed and torque such as Fan. For this a novel indirect rotor position sensing technique based on a detailed analysis of the terminal voltage characteristics is proposed in this paper. And a sensorless drive system for the brushless DC motor is implemented using a 87c196mc fo the main microprocessor and a power FET for the inverter. The experimental results will show the validity of the proposed indirect sensing method and the practical use of the sensorless drive

  • The motors faults including mechanical rotor imbalances, broken rotor bar, bearing failure and eccentricities problems are reflected in electric, electromagnetic and mechanical quantities. This paper presents a study and the practical implementation of an induction motor for reactor containment fan cooler in nuclear power plant with Electric Signature Analysis(ESA). The results obtained present a good degree of reliability hence; the ESA predictive maintenance tools enable a pro-active evaluation of induction motors performance prior to failure.
