  • In this study, the performance of five ejectors has been investigated with working fluids of water and water vapor. The diameters of nozzle and mixing tube of five ejectors were 1 and 1.5(ejector A), 1 and 2(ejector B), 1 and 2.5(ejector C), 1 and 3(ejector D), 2 and 4(ejector E) in millimeters. The length of the mixing tube was 8-10 times of its diameter. For each ejector, the ratio of mass flow rate of ejected water to that of entrained water vapor, $\mu$, was evaluated in terms of evaporator pressure, mass flow rate of ejected water, and water temperature. It was found that the performance of an ejector was not stable when the ratio of diameters was too small or too large(ejector A and D) and $\mu$ was almost the same for two ejectors with the same diameter ratio(ejector B and E). It was also found that $\mu$ increased almost linearly with an increase of evaporator pressure and the ratio $\mu$ increased as water temperature decreased. As expected, $\mu$ converged to zero as the water temperature approached the evaporator temperature. Finally, a non-dimensional correlation has been developed to predict$\mu$ terms of evaporator pressure and saturation pressure of ejected water.

  • The ejector is a device which employs a high-velocity primary motive fluid to entrain and accelerate a slower moving secondary suction fluid. The resulting kinetic energy of the mixture is subsequently used for self-compression to a higher pressure, thus performing the function of a compressor. The outstanding advantages of the ejectors are simplicity and reliability. However the industrial use of ejectors has been confined mainly to very particular cases of operation. The experimental results obtained so far were insufficient to be made use of general cases. Large-sized modern ejectors, mainly driven by high powered air-compressors and designed for very wide ranges of operating conditions, cannot be based on the earlier research results, if we wish to be sure of the final outcome.

  • Research on the user motivation of online brand community, the flow, community identification, brand attachment and the structural relationships between them This study is focused on the utilization motives of online brand community (emotional motivation, social motivation, informational motives), and their influences on each motivation on the flow and structural relationships between the brand identification and attachment. For the research, hierarchical chi-squal analysis, was used among Structural Equation Models, to statistically verify the size between the two paths. First, the research has proven the positive influence of user motivation of online brand community on flow. Especially on this research, user motivation of online brand community on flow was divided and analyzed into three motivations; emotional motivation, social motivation, informational motivation, the social and emotional motivation are proven to have the biggest influence on the flow and informational motivation has comparatively low influence on the flow. Secondly, this research will prove that the type of flow built on user motivation of online brand community can give positive influence on community identification and brand attachment. And third, the influence of community identification on brand attachment is very high on the flow. Result will clearly shows the flow built on user motivation of online brand community can help build brand attachment through community identification.

  • This study analyzed the structural relationship between motivation to participate in online lifelong education through YouTube, academic self-efficacy, and learning flow, where learners are rapidly increasing due to the spread of COVID-19. For this study, an online survey was conducted from July 16 to 30, 2021 for adult learners living in the metropolitan area. A total of 428 people participated in the survey, and a total of 409 copies of the results were analyzed, excluding 19 insincere responses. The main analysis results are as follows. First, The fitness of the research model was verified to be suitable for all analysis. Second, as a result of confirming the coefficients and statistical significance of each pathway in the research model, the motivation to participate in YouTube lifelong education was learning flow and academic self-efficacy, and academic self-efficacy also had a positive effect on learning flow. Third, it was confirmed that the effect of participation motivation in YouTube lifelong education on learning flow through academic self-efficacy was a statistically significant partial mediation. This study is meaningful in that it verified the structural relationship analysis between participation motive, academic self-efficacy, and learning flow in online lifelong education using YouTube reflecting the digital transformation of lifelong education due to COVID-19. Reflecting the need for re-regulation of lifelong education formed after COVID-19 and the flow of digital transformation through the research results, we discussed how lifelong education can enhance learners' motivation to participate and strengthen learning flow through academic self-efficacy as a medium.

  • This work presents numerical optimization for design of a blade stacking line of a low speed axial flow fan with a fast and elitist Non-Dominated Sorting of Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-II) of multi-objective optimization using three-dimensional Navier-Stokes analysis. Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations with ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ turbulence model are discretized with finite volume approximations and solved on unstructured grids. Regression analysis is performed to get second order polynomial response which is used to generate Pareto optimal front with help of NSGA-II and local search strategy with weighted sum approach to refine the result obtained by NSGA-II to get better Pareto optimal front. Four geometric variables related to spanwise distributions of sweep and lean of blade stacking line are chosen as design variables to find higher performed fan blade. The performance is measured in terms of the objectives; total efficiency, total pressure and torque. Hence the motive of the optimization is to enhance total efficiency and total pressure and to reduce torque.

  • When evaluating acoustic methods for measuring physical parameters in the ocean, economical and technical considerations are paramount. As an indirect method of estimating ocean dynamics, acoustic tomography has advantages over more conventional approaches. It allows the reconstruction of temperature and flow fields from the acoustic impulse time-of-flight measured along the rays propagating from the source to the receiver. However, many problems require complicated and expensive systems. To use the acoustic tomography method to best effect, developing hardware systems with sources and receivers mounted permanently on the sea bottom is crucial. Akulichev et al. presented some experimental results from shallow zones of the World Ocean that served as a motive for developing a multifunction system with acoustic hardware and software. Here we present technical features and the sea test results of the system.

  • The main purpose of this study is to explore a social capital paradigm which can be applied to many forms of social capital and intangible goods. The social capital paradigm introduces a new form of capital. This new form of capital produces a flow of socio-emotional goods that have value. Moreover, these socio-emotional goods can attach themselves to the objects used to convey them and change their value and meaning. This change in value and meaning is defined as attachment values. Exchanges of socio-emotional goods occur in networks where social capital resides. Formal and informal institutions provide order and meaning to exchanges of tangible and intangible goods. Social capital is a powerful resource that makes our choices interdependent. The social capital paradigm does not alter or contradict the basic economic theories of exchange. While the social capital paradigm accepts that selfish preferences motive many actions, it adds that sympathy and the desire to consume socio-emotional goods are powerful motivators. In case of marine affairs, ocean and fishing villages and their culture have been not only a fundamental basis of fisheries development but they also have made a great deal of contribution to forming social capital. In spite of this fact, the main reason that the problems of fisheries fishing villages fishermen in our society are kept at a distance is because they have been loosing their capability of forming social capital and producing socio-emotional goods, in addition to lowered relative economic share.
