Purpose: The purpose of this study was to define and clarify the concept of 'equilibrium' in community-dwelling elderly persons with chronic diseases. Methods: A hybrid model was used for development of the concept of equilibrium. The model included a field study conducted in Seoul, Korea. Participants in this study included 12 elderly persons with chronic diseases who were taking medicine regularly. Results: The concept of equilibrium was found to be a complex phenomenon having meaning in two dimensions: the family-friendly and social relation-oriented dimensions. Four attributes and nine indicators were defined. Conclusion: Equilibrium was defined as the state of having health recognition, will power, and motive power (family-friendly dimension) and having a feeling of participation (social relation-oriented). Therefore, nurses who work with elderly persons with chronic disease in the community should be aware of the attributes and indicators of equilibrium in order to enhance the equilibrium of their elderly clients with chronic diseases.

This study examined factors related to the motivation for the uses of cellular phones and the relationship between motivation for cellular phone use and parent-child communication among middle school students. A total of 223 questionnaires were submitted and analyzed. The characteristics of motive structure of the middle school students were found as recreation, time management, information-seeking, reassurance and fashion/showing off. Among those motivations, these middle school students examined here were found to use cellular phones in similar ways to how conventional telephone is used such as work/instrumental reasons and socializing/entertaining. The motivations showed a significant association with the level of parent-child communication. Information-seeking and time management motivation were positively related with an open communication level while fashion/showing off and recreation were negatively related with an open communication level.

In this paper, the instrument for scientific education in elementary school is developed with the application of basic robot technology for coming IT future world. Particularly, a kind of robot game to fun a race with each other is planed to give a motive or interest in scientific education. This robot game is played with two robots per player, One robot is moved wirelessly with a remote controller and the other robot is moved automatically with intelligence given by computer program made by a player. This game system will be in spotlight as multi-objective educational system not only to teach basic technology of IT, but also to improve the ability for logical and creative thought in elementary school students.

We consider a Location-Allocation Problem with the Cost of Land(LAPCL). LAPCL has extremely huge size of problem and complex characteristic of location and allocation problem. Heuristics and decomposition approaches on simple Location-Allocation Problem were well developed in last three decades. Recently, genetic algorithm(GA) is used widely at combinatorics and NLP fields. A lot of research shows that GA has efficiency for finding good solution. Our main motive of this research is developing of a package for LAPCL. We found that LAPCL could be reduced to trivial problem, if locations were given. In this case, we can calculate fitness function by simple technique. We built a database constructed by zipcode, latitude, longitude, administrative address and posted land price. This database enables any real field problem to be coded into a mathematical location problem. We developed a package for a class of multi-location problem at PC. The package allows for an interactive interface between user and computer so that user can generate various solutions easily.

With the widespread use of smartphones and the development of information technology, an online service called SNS(social network service) has emerged, and as an increasing number of people began to use SNS, extensive research has been conducted on SNS. SNS is an important factor for adolescents who are developing social skills that help them to adapt to the society, and for adults who are stepping into the society. The present study investigates the effects of information search, self-disclosure, interaction, and playfulness, all of which are motivational factors for SNS use, on flow in SNS, and empirically analyzes the degree of these variables influence according to flow in SNS and individual's personal nature(extrovert, introvert). The analysis results showed that information search, self-disclosure, interaction, and playfulness were positively correlated with flow in SNS, and flow in SNS was positively correlated with social skills. The degree of influence varied depending on the individual's personal nature(extrovert, introvert). These findings may provide important insights for researchers studying SNS, SNS managers, and company officials using SNS.

In this paper, we propose a remote control system which is used by internet network system in the small water booster supply. So far, TMTC(Tele Metering Tele Control) has been used to control and monitor small water booster pump. But it is possible and easy to control and observe local booster panel with the rapid development of internet, This new system is to provide operators and managers with sufficient information and control in order to implement the operation in an efficient and economical way. This system consists of three parts that are controller, netpump server and netview client. Controller has a dual architecture. The motive for installing controller is the continuous production and supply of drinking water.

The purpose of this study was to identify remained real state of the village groves in human settlement circle. That was practiced in case of Chinan-Gun region which traditional elements had well been conserved. 33 village groves were found by site survey, reference and interview in Chinan-Gun region. 31 of 51 village groves were clarified as complementing village grove by classification of grove character. It was identified through survey that many were partially destructed by development and human overuse. The results of this study showed general, socio-behavioral characteristics, characteristics of forest state and vegetation structure of village groves in Chinan-Gun region. Length, area, form, type, motive, location, relationship of those were analyzed to identify general characteristics. Facilities, human behavior and ownership of those were analyzed to identify socio-behavioral characteristics. Principal dominant species and appearing rate, height, width, density of those, species diversity of groves were analyzed to identify forest state and vegetation structure. Interrelation between each factor were analyzed and comparative review with previous studies was achieved.

Housing is one of the most important factors determining the quality of rural life. Housing condition in rural area has been deteriorating over the past years in spite of many rural development programs. Korean government formulated 'Rural Housing Environment Improving Plan' including rural rent-house program in 2006. This study aims to find the fundamental intension of rural people for adopting the rent-house system in rural area. To do this, background and current state of rural rent-house program are presented and the demand for rural rent-house is analyzed based on the survey results done by Korea Rural Community Corporation in 2005. Major findings from the survey analysis imply that the size/age/ownership of the current houses and the age of householders, motive and time period of current residing, and components of households are significant factors when considering whether they are willing to apply rural rent-house.

A purpose of this study is to develop multimedia materials of “Technology and Home Economics” subject matter in a national level. Researchers. writers. examiners. deliverers and developers in order to develop multimedia materials were organized of us with 40 People. First. we analyzed the textbooks of "Technology $.$ Home Economics" subject matter and made the idea design Second we got storyboards based on the idea design. Finally. we developed the 1021 multimedia materials based with storyboards. The developed materials were uploaded to the Edunet website. If the materials developed in this study are utilized. students of middle school will be get easily educational motive. and teachers are able to use the multimedia materials to the Technology $.$ Home Economics 1" subject instruction.

Using back electro-motive force(EMF) signals of a brushless DC motor, the sensorless micro-processor controlled drive system was developed. In this new commutation method, the manual pulses are used for relatively short accelerating phase and then the exact commutational positions are detected based upon the back emf signals. The hardware and software implementations with the experiment to compare the performance of the developed system with the, conventional system using hall effect sensors are included. By reducing the number of the required sensors in the artificial heart control system, the total reliability will be incresed.
