  • Robust tuning rules of the motion profile are proposed to minimize the residual vibration. For asymmetric S-curve profile, tuning rules are analytically formulated using Laplace-domain approach. When the system modeling is known exactly, by placing a single zero of the motion profile on the pole of the system, the residual vibration can be perfectly eliminated under undamped system. However, if there are some amounts of the modeling errors, the residual vibration significantly increases. To track this issue, the robust tuning rules against modeling error are discussed. One of the proposed robust tuning rules is placing the multiple zeros of the motion profile on the pole of the system, and the other is placing the zeros of the motion profile around the pole of the system. Thanks to the proposed robust tuning rules, motion profile becomes more robust to modeling errors while minimizing the residual vibration. By simulation, the effectiveness of the proposed robust tuning rules is verified.

  • The forces exerted on an object by the end-effectors of multi-manipulators are decomposed into the motion-inducing force and the internal force. Motion-inducing force effects the motion of an object and internal force can't effect it. The motion of an object can't track exactly the desired motion because of internal force component, therefore internal force component must be considered. In this paper using the resolved acceleration control method and the fact that internal force lies in the null space of jacobian matrix, we construct independently the position, motion-inducing force and internal force controller. Secondly we construct the robust controller to preserve the robustness with respect to the uncertainty of manipulator parameters.

  • This paper proposes a new approach to the design of fuzzy-neuro control for track vehicle system using fuzzy logic based on neural network. The proposed control scheme uses a Gaussian function as a unit function in the neural network-fuzzy, and back propagation algorithm to train the fuzzy-neural network controller in the framework of the specialized learning architecture. It is proposed a learning controller consisting of two neural network-fuzzy based of independent reasoning and a connection net with fixed weights to simply the neural networks-fuzzy. The performance of the proposed controller is illustrated by simulation for trajectory tracking of track vehicle speed.

  • In this paper, a new revolute mobile robot arm with five degree of freedom (d.o.f) was developed for autonomous moving robots. As a control system for the robot arm, a distributed control system composed of the main controller and five motor controllers for arm joints was developed. The main controller and the motor controllers w ε re developed using the ARM microprocessor and the TMS320c2407 microprocessor, respectively. A new trajectory tracking algorithm for the motor controllers was devised employing pre-generated off-line trajectory data. Also, a 3-D simulator based on the openGL software to simulate the motion of the robot arm was developed. To validate the performance of the robot system, experiments to track a specified trajectory were performed.

  • In this study, the linear quadratic Guassian loop transfer recovery (LQG/LTR) control technique was combined with an integrator and applied to an inchworm having piezoelectric actuators for precise motion tracking. The piezoelectric actuator showed nonlinear response characteristics, including hysteresis, due to its ferroelectric characteristics and the residual displacement phenomenon. This paper proposes a feedback control scheme using the LQG/LTR controller with an integrator to improve the ability to track the response to complex input signals and to suppress the phenomenon of hysteresis and residual vibration. Experimental results show that the developed feedback control system for an inchworm can track the various motion contours quickly without residual vibration or overshoot.

  • The Japanese type combine harvester has adopted rubber crawlers for the driving mechanism from first production . However, combine harvesters with movable track rollers in the rubber crawler system have been adopted recently for the purpose of stability at the time of climbing over the footpaths between rice fields, as the results of the machines becoming large. However, the dynamic characteristics of movable track rollers have not been clarified. For this reason, the design of movable track rollers depends on trial and errors. It is known that vibration characteristics of the vehicle with movable track rollers are different from the vibration characteristics of the vehicles with fixed track rollers even though the track roller arrangements are the same. Therefore, the theoretical analyses of movable track rollers must be hurried in order to formulate a reasonable track roller arrangement design. the authors have studied the vibration characteristics of the rubber crawler ve icle with fixed track rollers. in this study, the dynamic model of the vehicle with movable track roller sis compared with the dynamic model of the vehicle with fixed track rollers. Next, motions are simulated to analyze the movable track rollers by expanding the motion equation which were constructed for the dynamic model of the fixed track rollers.

  • In this paper, we implemented a deep learning-based automatic object tracking and handy motion control drone system and analyzed the performance of the proposed system. The drone system automatically detects and tracks targets by analyzing images obtained from the drone's camera using deep learning algorithms, consisting of the YOLO, the MobileNet, and the deepSORT. Such deep learning-based detection and tracking algorithms have both higher target detection accuracy and processing speed than the conventional color-based algorithm, the CAMShift. In addition, in order to facilitate the drone control by hand from the ground control station, we classified handy motions and generated flight control commands through motion recognition using the YOLO algorithm. It was confirmed that such a deep learning-based target tracking and drone handy motion control system stably track the target and can easily control the drone.

  • This paper concerns dynamics of a wheel-axle set on a tangent track which was already published in a book titled "Dynamics of Railway Vehicle Systems" authored by Garg and Dukkipati [1], pointing out several missing terms and erroneous parts in the derived expressions on the conventional governing equations of motion. It is indicated that the x-direction components of normal forces at left and right wheel-rail contact points in the equilibrium axis were missed. Another point is that in deriving the creepages the disturbed velocity components in both x and y directions in the equilibrium axis should not be disregarded in the first term of the numerators. When considering the creepage in the y direction in the body coordinate system, the second term of lateral velocity at the contact point also cannot be neglected. Besides, the hyper-assumptions in the final expressions of vertical components of normal forces at left and right wheel-rail contact points have been recovered in reaching the final stage of analytical model development. Finally it is noteworthy that the process of applying creep theory is deemed to contain a little bit inconsistencies and ambiguities to be clear.

  • A parking-assist system is defined that a driver adjusts vehicle velocity through brake pedal operation and parking-assist system controls the motion of the vehicle to follow a collision-free path. In this study, a motion control algorithm using Fuzzy inference is proposed to track a maneuvering clothoid parallel path. Simulations are performed under SIMULINK environments using MATLAB and CarSim for a vehicle model. As the vehicle model in MATLAB a bicycle model is used including lateral dynamics. The simulation results show that the path tracking performance is satisfactory under various driving and initial conditions.
