  • After detecting the edge which is applying the morphological operators to the hybrid FCNN, we could analyze and compare. The hybrid FCNN is completely removed to the noise in the image, and worked in order to obtain the result image which is closest to the original image. Also, the morphological operator is applied to the image as the method in order to detect more good the edge than the conventional edge. FCNN which is the pipeline type is completely suitable to detecting the image processing as well as the hardware size. In this paper. we would make the structure elements of the morphological operator the variable template and the static template, and compare with the edge enhancement of two images. After being the result which is applying the variable template morphological operator and the static template morphological operator to the image, we could know that the edge images applying the variable template is superior in a edge enhancement side.

Adaptive Scanning Based on a Morphological Representation of Coefficients for H.264/AVC

  • In this letter, an effective scanning method based on a morphological representation of quantized coefficients is proposed for intra coding in H.264. In the proposed scanning method, the scan order for each block is adaptively reconfigured by exploiting a residual correlation beyond the border of the block. An initial scan order for the current block is determined first by using the pattern of nonzero coefficients in the adjacent block. Then, a complete scan order is obtained by performing the dilation operation at each position within the initial scan order. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves the coding efficiency up to 3.7% compared to the conventional zigzag scanning method.

  • This study systematically analyzes the specific characteristics of clothes that each person owned by applying morphological analysis, one of the creative conception technique and suggests a way that person owned on clothes through better fashion coordination according to personal style change. The result of this study is like below. Firstly, we could draw a successful fashion coordination technique by compounding solutions classified by each important variable totally through morphological analysis. Second, we suggested a personal style analysis technique that is systematic and visual through morphological analysis. Third, we could draw a various fashion coordination technique by mixture of partial solution for important variables in short time, and concluded that it is helpful to idea quest to emphasize personal individuality in shopping. Finally a study on program development that can do expansion of fashion coordination efficiently in submitting a morphological analysis table should continue.

  • Collaborative Robot (Cobot) that can collaborate with humans by fusion with many advanced technologies among industrial robots in the industrial field are attracting attention. In this study, the engineers of Small and Medium Enterprises can directly participate in the cobot design, and ultimately, the possibility of deriving the shape design of the differentiated cobot was studied. The method applied to derive the shape design of differentiated cobot is 'Morphological Analysis'. First, the design elements of the form of cobots were derived as 'Link' and 'Joint'. In addition, by analyzing the image form of the Link and Joint of the existing cobot, a new form element of the Link and Joint was proposed. In order to quantitatively identify the most discriminating cobot shape design, FGI (Focus Group Interview) was conducted to derive image types of 4 Link and 3 Joint. Then, the most important 'Shape Combination' was carried out in morphological analysis, and 12 new cobot shape designs were drawn. Through this, the applicability of the morphological analysis method in the derivation of differentiated cobot shape design was examined.

Color Morphological Pyramids를 이용한 이미지 분할 (Image Segmentation Using Color Morphological Pyramids)

  • 컬러 이미지는 Gray Scale 이미지와는 달리 3가지 채널의 조합으로 이루어지고 방대한 정보량 때문에 효과적인 이미지 분할이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 범용성 있는 Color Morphological Pyramids(CMP)구조를 제안하고, 그를 이용한 이미지 분할을 보인다. 이미지 피라미드 구조는 최초 이미지의 반복적인 필터링과 샘플링에 의해 면적비가 $2^{\int}({\int}=1,2,....,N)$이 되는 순차적 이미지 계열이다. 본 방법에서는 CMP를 이용하여 RGB, HSI, CMY 등의 컬러 공간에서 연속적인 필터링 처리로 불필요한 크기의 물체 및 잡음을 제거하고, 다운샘플링과정으로 해상도를 낮춰준다. 생성된 CMP에서 인접 레벨 이미지간에는 이웃한 픽셀 벡터간의 상대거리를 이용한 연결식을 사용하여 새 레벨의 이미지를 생성한 후 이를 이미지 분할한다. 이미지 분할실험을 통하여 본 방법의 유효성을 검증한다.

명사 출현 특성을 이용한 효율적인 한국어 명사 추출 방법 (An Efficient Method for Korean Noun Extraction Using Noun Patterns)

  • 형태소 분석을 한 후 명사를 추출하는 방법은 모든 어절에 대해 빈번한 사전 참조와 음운 복원을 위한 규칙 적용을 수행하므로 많은 연산을 필요로 하고, 중의성이 있는 어절에 대해 모든 가능한 분석결과를 생성하므로 명사 추출의 관점에서는 비효율적이다. 본 논문에서는 명사 추출의 관점에서 형태소 분석시 불필요한 연산을 줄이기 위해 명사 출현 특성을 고려하는 명사 추출 방법을 제안한다. 명사 출현 특성은 명사의 존재에 대한 긍정적 또는 부정적인 단서를 표현하는 한국어의 특성으로서, 배제 정보와 명사 접미 음절열이 있다. 배제 정보는 명사가 잃는 어절을 미리 배제하여 형태소 분석에 요구되는 탐색 공간을 줄이고. 명사 접미 음절열은 바로 알에 있는 병사를 검사함으로써 단순한 방법으로 명사를 추출하거나 미등록어를 인식하는 데에 사용한다. 또한 본 논문에서는 형태소 분석시 복잡한 음운 현상을 처리하기 위해 많은 음운 규칙을 적용하는 대신 음운 복인 정보를 사용하여 음운 현상을 처리한다. 실험 결과에 의하면 덕 방법은 기존의 형태소 분석 방법에 의한 명사 추출에 비해 정확도는 떨어지지 않으면서 수행 속도 면에서 매우 효율적임을 알 수 있다.

Depth edge detection by image-based smoothing and morphological operations

  • Since 3D measurement technologies have been widely used in manufacturing industries edge detection in a depth image plays an important role in computer vision applications. In this paper, we have proposed an edge detection process in a depth image based on the image based smoothing and morphological operations. In this method we have used the principle of Median filtering, which has a renowned feature for edge preservation properties. The edge detection was done based on Canny Edge detection principle and was improvised with morphological operations, which are represented as combinations of erosion and dilation. Later, we compared our results with some existing methods and exhibited that this method produced better results. However, this method works in multiframe applications with effective framerates. Thus this technique will aid to detect edges robustly from depth images and contribute to promote applications in depth images such as object detection, object segmentation, etc.

스캔된 지도상의 가옥 추출 방법 (House Detection on the Scanned Topographic Map)

  • 지도에서의 정보추출은 GIS의 구축을 위하여 매우 필요한 사항이다. 본 논문에서는 특수목적으로 제작된 지도내의 가옥을 인식하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 가옥을 추출하기 위하여 윤곽선 추출 기법을 사용하였으며 격자에 붙은 가옥을 처리하기 위하여 런 길이 코딩 방법을 사용하였다. 도로와 경계선에 접합되어 있는 가옥을 처리하기 위하여 형태학적 연산을 수행하였으며 형태학적 연산에서 발생하는 오인식을 없애기 위하여 한글 문자부를 제거하는 작업을 수행하였다.

  • In this paper, a morphological shape decomposition method is proposed for the purpose of pattern recognition and image compression. In the method, a structuring element that geometrical characteristics is more similar to the shape function is preselected. The shape is decomposed into the primitive elements corresponding to the structuring element. A gray scale image also is transformed into 8 bit plane images for the hierarchical reconstruction required in image communication systems. The shape in each bitplane is decomposed to the proposed method. Through the experiment. it is proved that the description error is reduced and the coding efficiency is improved.

  • This paper presents a new method for detecting microcalcifications on mammograms by using morphological filter. This filter is an extension of Top-hat transformation in morphological operations with multi-scale and multiple structuring elements. The proposed method makes it possible to detect geometrical structures considered to be microcalcifications on the basis of their size, shape and density. Experimental results to show the effectiveness of the proposed method are also presented.
