해상관측시설을 위한 파랑하중과 계류계 해석 -모래중에 뭍힌 원형파일의 수평력 추정방법을 중심으로- (Analysis of Wave Load and Mooring System for Ocean Monitoring Facilities - About an estimation method for horizontal force of circular pile in sand -)

  • 해양관측시설은 고정식과 부유식으로 나뉘는데 본 고에서는 부유식 해상관측시설과 관련된 파랑하중 및 계류계에 대해 다루었다. 부유식 해상관측시설의 일 예에 대해 운동계산과 표류력 계산을 수행하고 고찰하였다. 또한 계류앵커의 일종인 원형 파일앵커가 수평력을 받는 경우의 모형실험과 파주력 계산을 위한 프로그램을 작성하여 그 계산결과와 비교 고찰하였다. SCUBA 활동으로 설치가능한 파일앵커의 파주력 추정에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Performance of the Submerged Dual Buoy/Membrane Breakwaters in Oblique Seas

  • The focus of this paper is on the numerical investigation of obliquely incident wav interactions with a system composed of fully submerged and floating dual buoy/vertical-flexible-membrane breakwaters placed in parallel with spacing between two systems. The fully submerged two systems allow surface and bottom gaps to enable wave transmission over and under the system. The problem is formulated based on the two-dimensional multi-domain hydro-elastic linear wave-body interaction theory. The hydrodynamic interaction of oblique incident waves with the combination of the rigid and flexible bodies was solved by the distribution of the simple sources (modified Bessel function of the second kind) that satisfy the Helmholz governing equation in fluid domains. A boundary element program for three fluid domains based on a discrete membrane dynamic model and simple source distribution method is developed. Using this developed computer program, the performance of various dual systems varying buoy radiuses and drafts, membrane lengths, gaps, spacing, mooring-lines stiffness, mooring types, water depth, and wave characteristics is thoroughly examined. It is found that the fully submerged and floating dual buoy/membrane breakwaters can, if it is properly tuned to the coming waves, have good performances in reflecting the obliquely incident waves over a wide range of wave frequency and headings.

Influence of second order wave excitation loads on coupled response of an offshore floating wind turbine

  • This paper presents an integrated analysis about dynamic performance of a Floating Offshore Wind Turbine (FOWT) OC4 DeepCwind with semi-submersible platform under real sea environment. The emphasis of this paper is to investigate how the wave mean drift force and slow-drift wave excitation load (Quadratic transfer function, namely QTF) influence the platform motions, mooring line tension and tower base bending moments. Second order potential theory is being used for computing linear and nonlinear wave effects, including first order wave force, mean drift force and slow-drift excitation loads. Morison model is utilized to account the viscous effect from fluid. This approach considers floating wind turbine as an integrated coupled system. Two time-domain solvers, SIMA (SIMO/RIFLEX/AERODYN) and FAST are being chosen to analyze the global response of the integrated coupled system under small, moderate and severe sea condition. Results show that second order mean drift force and slow-drift force will drift the floater away along wave propagation direction. At the same time, slow-drift force has larger effect than mean drift force. Also tension of the mooring line at fairlead and tower base loads are increased accordingly in all sea conditions under investigation.

수상태양광의 시공기술에 관한 실증연구 (The Technique of Installing Floating Photovoltaic Systems)

  • 2011년 10월 국내 최초로 다목적댐 저수지에 100kW급 수상태양광발전 상용화 실증 플랜트가 합천댐에 설치되었다. 수상태양광발전 설비는 육상에 설치하는 태양광발전 설비와는 달리 수상부유체, 계류장치, 수중케이블 등 설치에 많은 어려움이 있다. 특히 수상이라는 환경적 제약으로 인해 육상 태양광 시공 방법으로 공정 관리를 할 수 없는 많은 변수가 속출한다. 수상태양광발전의 구조체는 수상태양광 모듈 및 기타 전기설비를 수상에 부상시키기 위한 설비로서 바람이나 태풍 등 기상환경에 견뎌야 하고 수질에 악영향을 미치지 말아야하며 시공성, 경제성 등 종합적인 고려가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 100kW 수상태양광 시공사례를 바탕으로 수상태양광의 구조체, 계류장치, 수중케이블, 전력설비 및 원격감시제어시스템의 시공기술에 대한 기초자료를 제공하였다. 본 연구에서 시공된 100kW 수상태양광은 현재 평균 설비이용률 15%로 운영중에 있다.

모래지반에 근입된 석션파일의 인발저항력 및 변위거동 분석 (Analysis of Load Capacity and Deformation Behavior of Suction Pile Installed in Sand)

  • 모래지반에서 석션파일의 최대인발저항력 산정을 위한 일련의 원심모형실험이 수행되었다. 최대인발저항력 산정을 위한 실험인자인 석션파일의 인발각과 인발작용점의 위치에 대하여 실험을 수행하였다. 인발작용점의 경우 75%에서 최대인발저항력이 관찰되었다. 모든 경사각에 대하여 전체파일 높이에서 50%에서 75%사이에 석션파일의 회전각이 변함을 알 수 있었다. 인발각이 증가함에 따라 최대 인발저항력 발생 시까지의 변위가 점점 작아짐을 알 수 있었다. 석션파일의 형상중심의 수직변위를 최대인발저항력이 작용한 시점에서 관찰한 결과 모두 지표 쪽으로 이동한 것을 알 수 있었다.

기존/개선 수치 해석 기법을 이용한 계류 체인 링크의 면외 굽힘 강성 (Out-Of-Plane Bending Stiffnesses in Offshore Mooring Chain Links Based on Conventional and Advanced Numerical Simulation Techniques)

  • After an accident involving mooring link failures in an offloading buoy, verification of the fatigue safety in terms of the out-of-plane bending (OPB) and in-plane bending (IPB) moments has become a key engineering item in the design of various floating offshore units. The mooring links for an 8 MW floating offshore wind turbine were selected for this study. To identify the OPB stiffness (OPB moment versus interlink angle), a numerical simulation model, called the 3-link model, is usually composed of three successive chain links closest to the fairlead or chain hawse. This paper introduces two numerical simulation techniques for the 3-link analyses. The conventional and advanced approaches are both based on the prescribed rotation approach (PRA) and direct tension approach (DTA). Comparisons of the nominal stress distributions, OPB stiffnesses, hotspot stress curves, and stress concentration curves are presented. The multiple link analyses used to identify the tension angle versus interlink angle require the OPB stiffness data from the 3-link analyses. A convergence study was conducted to determine the minimum number of links for a multi-link analysis. It was proven that 10 links were sufficient for the multi-link analysis. The tension angle versus interlink angle relations are presented based on multi-link analyses with 10 links. It was found that the subsequent results varied significantly according to the 3-link analysis techniques.

쓰나미의 공진현상을 고려한 항내계류선박의 시계열 해석 (A Time Domain Analysis of Moored Ship Motions Considering Tsunami Resonant Effects)

  • 최근 지구온난화의 영향으로 지구가 불안정기에 접어들어 지구 규모의 재해가 자주 발생하고 있는 가운데, 어떻게 하면 이러한 재해를 예방하고, 피해를 최소화 할 것인지에 대해 고려해 봐야 할 시점이다. 한편 지진과 같은 재해는 확률론적 관점에서 보면 일정한 주기를 가지고 발생했던 것으로 알려져 있다. 최근 거대지진에 의한 쓰나미의 발생을 경고하고 있는 상황이기 때문에 쓰나미에 의한 계류선박의 영향을 고려하는 것은 대단히 중요한 일이다. 또한, 항내 계류선박의 장주기 동요에 동반하는 하역중지나 계류시설의 손상에 관한 문제가 보고되었다. 이러한 장주기 동요의 주요 발생 원인이 항내 장기주파와 계류선박의 고유주기가 일치하는 공진현상에 의한 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 논문에서는 쓰나미의 내습으로 인한 항만내 계류중인 선박의 거동에 대한 수치 시뮬레이션을 행하여, 쓰나미의 공진현상에 의한 선박운동에의 영향 및 계류하중을 실험적으로 평가한다.

메가와트급 부유식 해상풍력발전기용 페어리드 체인 스토퍼의 강도 성능평가를 위한 구조 모형 시험 (Structural Model Test for Strength Performance Evaluation of Fairlead Chain Stopper Installed on MW Class Floating Type Offshore Wind Turbine)

  • Recently, the destructive power of typhoons is continuously increasing due to the influence of global warming. In a situation where the installation of floating wind turbines is increasing around the world, concerns about the huge loss and collapse of floating offshore wind turbines due to strong typhoons are deepening. Regarding to the safe operation of the floating offshore wind turbine, the development of a new type of disconnectable mooring system is required. A new fairlead chain stopper considered in this study is devised to more easily attach or detach the floating offshore wind turbine with mooring lines comparing to other disconnectable mooring apparatuses. In order to investigate the structural safety of the initial design of fairlead chain stopper that can be applied to MW-class floating type offshore wind turbine, scale-down structural models were produced using a 3-D printer and structural tests were performed on the models. For the structural tests of the scale-down models, tensile specimens of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene material that was used in the 3-D printing were prepared, and the material properties were evaluated by performing the tensile tests. The finite element analysis of fairlead chain stopper was performed by applying the material properties obtained from the tensile tests and the same load and boundary conditions as in the scale-down model structural tests. Through the finite element analysis, the structural weak parts on the fairlead chain stopper were reviewed. The structural model tests were performed considering the main load conditions of fairlead chain stopper, and the test results were compared to the finite element analysis. Through the results of this study, it was possible to experimentally verify the structural safety of the initial design of fairlead chain stopper. It is also judged that the study results can be usefully used to improve the structural strength of fairlead chain stopper in a detailed design stage.

팔각기둥형 가두리 시스템의 수중 안정성 분석 (Analysis on underwater stability of the octagonal pillar type fish cage and mooring system)

  • The sea cage in marine aquaculture might be varied such as on the stability and shape in the open sea by environmental factors. To evaluate the stability of net cage structures in the open sea, the physical and numerical modeling techniques were applied and compared with field observations. This study was carried out to analyse the stability and the volume loss which would have an effect on the fish swimming behavior in the octagonal pillar type fish cage under the open sea. As a results, the volume loss ratio of the fish cage as measured using a depth sensor was indicated a value of the 30.3% under the current velocity (1.1m/s). The fish cage should be consisted of a concrete block with a weight over 10 tons, a mooring rope diameter over 28mm PP, and a shackle of 25mm under the current speed of 1m/sec for reasonable stability.

  • The major subject of this paper is the conceptual design of a cable-buoy system based on mechanics of floating bodies and mooring lines. The goal is to present a systematic relevant analysis procedure for the conceptual design of oceanographic buoy systems. The dynamics of a free floating body with an anchoring line is studied and a model is proposed through the primary engineering.
