DDS를 이용한 중단파대 국ㆍ영문용 DSC/NBDP 개발에 관한 연구

  • In this paper, the needs for introduction and adoption of MㆍHF DSC/NBDP system and for developments of its circuits and call sequences for use in the maritime mobile services for small-ships, leisure-ships and fishing ships are analyzed, discussed. Also design and implement for MㆍHF(1.6-4MHz) DSC/NBDP system is discussed. Most of casualties have been arisen from small-ships and fishing ships during last 5 years. So, the SAR schematic plans should been prepared to prevent casualties and facilitate the activities of SAR for those ships. DSC/NBDP for MㆍHF system is able to fulfill the roles of efficient SAR communication functions, and to advance the SAR system to small ships and fishing ships. This study is focused on the techniques of processing the DSC call sequences and the ARQ sequences of NBDP system. Especially ARQ sequences are expanded into processing of Korean letters, designed the call sequences and code conversion algorithm for Korean-code. It will be evaluated the availability of Korean-NBDP system. In designing the Transmitting circuits and Receiving circuits, for the carrier generation, DDS(Direct Digital Synthesizer) is used in stead of the Phase Locked Loop and frequency conversion by the mixer, BPF. And PSK modulation signals are directly generated by the controls of DDS, which show the characteristics of Spurious Free Dynamic Range are below -62dBc. Also, the monolithic U subsystem IC which provides various functional components, AD608 is used for designing the receiving circuitsㆍAnd the algorithm of Phasing methode for FSK demodulation are devised to process IF frequency 455kHz in the IF circuits.

적층 평판형 SOFC 모듈에서 소결 시 전해질 층의 휨 현상 (The Warpage Phenomena of Electrolyte Layer During the Sintering Process in the Layered Planar SOFC Module)

  • A layered planer SOFC module was designed from planar-type SOFC. It was prepared by multi-layered ceramic technology. To form the cathode and the anode in the layered structure, reliable channels should be made on the both side of electrolyte perpendicularly. However, monolithic SOFC using multi-layered ceramic technology hasn't been studied another group, and the warpage of electrolyte in the channel, also, hasn't been studied, when electrode is printed on the electrolyte. In this study, the channels are prepared with electrode printing, and their warpage are evaluated. In the case of YSZ without electrode, the warpages are nothing in the limit of measurement using optical microscope. The warpage of 'YSZ-NiO printed' increases than that of 'NiO printed', and also, the case of 'double electrode printed' is similar to 'YSZ-NiO printed'. It is thought that, in the printed electrolyte, the warpage is related to the difference of the sintering behavior of each material.

유연 힌지를 이용한 초정밀 3자유도 병렬 매니퓰레이터 개발 (Development of 3-DOF Parallel Manipulator Using Flexure Hinge)

  • We present a $3-{\underline{P}}RS$ compliant parallel manipulator actuated by PZTs. The motion ranges are $400-{\mu}m$ translation to the z-direction and 5.7-mrad rotation about any axis on the x-y plane. A mechanical amplifier whose advantage is approximately 5.5 is designed and integrated with flexure revolute and spherical joints in a monolithic way. We evaluated the performance of the system: kinematic and dynamic characteristics. In kinematic point of view, the flexures play the roles of conventional mechanism but any nonlinearity such as dead-zone and backlash, which make it possible to achieve the steady-state resolution less than $0.1{\mu}m$. The system shows resonance near 86 Hz with high magnitude and, therefore, poor transient response. But the settling is faster when the flexures are strained higher.

Mechanical Behavior and Numerical Estimation of Fracture Resistance of a SCS6 Fiber Reinforced Reaction Bonded Si$_3$N$_4$ Continuous Fiber Ceramic Composite

  • Continuous fiber ceramic composites (CFCCs) have advantages over monolithic ceramics : Silicon Nitride composites are not well used for application because of their low fracture toughness and fracture strength, but CFCCs exhibit increased toughness for damage tolerance, and relatively high stiffness in spite of low specific weight. Thus it is important to characterize the fracture resistance and properties of new CFCCs materials. Tensile and flexural tests were carried out for mechanical properties and the fracture resistance behavior of a SCS6 fiber reinforced Si$_3$N$_4$ matrix CFCC was evaluated. The results indicated that CFCC composite exhibit a rising R curve behavior in flexural test. The fracture toughness was about 4.8 MPa$.$m$\^$1/2 , which resulted in a higher value of the fracture toughness because of fiber bridging. Mechanical properties as like the elastic modulus, proportional limit and the ultimate strength in a flexural test are greater than those in a tensile test. Also a numerical modeling of failure process was accomplished for a flexural test. This numerical results provided a good simulation of the cumulative fracture process of the fiber and matrix in CFCCs.

상압소결법으로 제조한 Cu 입자 분산 Al2O3 나노복합재료의 미세조직 및 특성 (Microstructure and Properties of Cu Dispersed Al2O3 Nanocomposites Prepared by Pressureless Sintering)

  • The pressureless sintering behavior of $Al_2O_3$/Cu powder mixtures, prepared from $Al_2O_3$/CuO and $Al_2O_3$/Cu-nitrate, has been investigated. Microstructural observation revealed that $Al_2O_3$ powders with nano-sized Cu particles could be synthesized by hydrogen reduction method. The specimens, pressureless-sintered at $1400^{\circ}C$ for 4 min using infrared heating furnace with the heating rate of $200^{\circ}C$/min, showed the relative density of above 90%. Maximum hardness of 16.1 GPa was obtained in $Al_2O_3$/MgO/Cu nanocomposites. The nanocomposites exhibited the enhanced fracture toughness of 4.3-5.7 $MPa{\cdot}m^{1/2}$, compared with monolithic $Al_2O_3$. The mechanical properties were discussed in terms of microstructural characteristics.

  • Mechanical properties of oxide based materials could be improved by nanocomposite processing. To investigate optimum route for fabrication of nanocomposite enabling mass production, high energy ball milling and Pulse Electric Current Sintering (PECS) were adopted. By high energy ball milling, the $Al_2O_3$-based composite powder with dispersed Cu grains below 20 nm in diameter was successfully synthesized. The PECS method as a new process for powder densification has merits of improved sinterability and short sintering time at lower temperature than conventional sintering process. The relative densities of the $Al_2O_3$-5vol%Cu composites sintered at $1250^{\circ}C$ and $1300^{\circ}C$ with holding temperature of $900^{\circ}C$ were 95.4% and 95.7% respectively. Microstructures revealed that the composite consisted of the homogeneous and very fine grains of $Al_2O_3$ and Cu with diameters less than 40 nm and 20 nm respectively The composite exhibited enhanced toughness compared with monolithic $Al_2O_3$. The influence of the Cu content upon fracture toughness was discussed in terms of microstructural characteristics.

Yield penetration in seismically loaded anchorages: effects on member deformation capacity

  • Development of flexural yielding and large rotation ductilities in the plastic hinge zones of frame members is synonymous with the spread of bar reinforcement yielding into the supporting anchorage. Yield penetration where it occurs, destroys interfacial bond between bar and concrete and reduces the strain development capacity of the reinforcement. This affects the plastic rotation capacity of the member by increasing the contribution of bar pullout. A side effect is increased strains in the compression zone within the plastic hinge region, which may be critical in displacement-based detailing procedures that are linked to concrete strains (e.g. in structural walls). To quantify the effects of yield penetration from first principles, closed form solutions of the field equations of bond over the anchorage are derived, considering bond plastification, cover debonding after bar yielding and spread of inelasticity in the anchorage. Strain development capacity is shown to be a totally different entity from stress development capacity and, in the framework of performance based design, bar slip and the length of debonding are calculated as functions of the bar strain at the loaded-end, to be used in calculations of pullout rotation at monolithic member connections. Analytical results are explored parametrically to lead to design charts for practical use of the paper's findings but also to identify the implications of the phenomena studied on the detailing requirements in the plastic hinge regions of flexural members including post-earthquake retrofits.

  • As the rural economy is worsening day by day due to rapidly declined population and increase of aging generation, the emptiness in the rural areas are becoming increasingly intensifying. In particular, urban runoff of young adults and middle-aged people and the decrease in birth rate have shrunk the rural population reaching to raise concerns on the stage of emptiness. On the other hand, people in the urban areas with rapid industrialization and overcrowding call for the variety of housing needs moving away from monolithic housing types. In order to solve problems of rural communities such as emptied out rural society as well as the problems of urban communities in overcrowdings, environment, and housing, it is required to develop an urban-countryside village complex pursuing advantages of the rural environment and convenience of urban living. Of this time, there needs a change in rural development policies which can make the urban residents migrate and settle in the rural areas as they are naturally embracing the rural life according to the social background and demand.

  • A novel temperature difference-to-frequency converter using two resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) has been developed. The resistance difference of two RTDs is converted into its equivalent inductance to form the resonant circuit of the Colpitts oscillator. The conversion sensitivity of $16\;Hz/^{\circ}C$ and the residual nonlinearity less than 2.15% over the temperature difference range from $35^{\circ}C$ to $155^{\circ}C$ are obtained by the prototype converter. The frequency drift of oscillator itself is ${\pm}0.5\;Hz$. Thus, the minimum detectable temperature difference is estimated to be ${\pm}0.013^{\circ}C$. The proposed converter, except for two RTDs, can be fabricated in monolithic IC form.
