Development of Internet Web-Based Inverter Remote Control System (인터넷 웹 기반 환경에서의 인버터 원격제어시스템 개발)

  • This paper aims at developing remote control system to control and monitor distributed various devices such as UPS or photovoltaic inverter system through internet. TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) and photovoltaic inverter system operated in a row are adopted for network management protocol and applied device, respectively. For controlling and monitoring distributed devices in real-time, java-environment software is constructed. Also, HelloDevice, general-use interface controller between network device and applied device is proposed. Finally, serial communication such as RS-232C is used between controller and applied device.

  • The conventional SCADA being used in the electric railway has the basic functions of remote controlling and system monitoring. Since the SCADA lacks the functions essential to the fault prevention and the system recovery, operators must depend on their intuition and experience to considerable extent. Visually integrated information offered by PIS contributes to the fast system recovery and the state judgment of the power system, and makes a novice be adapted for the operation easily. In this paper, we have studied the various functions and its feasibility that can be offered by PIS.

  • This paper aims at developing remote control system to control and monitor distributed various devices through internet or information communication network. SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) are adopted for network management protocol and applied device, respectively. For controlling and monitoring distributed devices in real-time, Java-environment software is constructed. Also, general-use interface controller between network device and applied device is proposed. Finally, serial communication such as RS-232 and RS-485 is used between controller and applied device.

  • Plant monitoring algorithm developments seem to be saturated which means that display system to show the results from the algorithm should be the well-defined and interactive tools for operator's diagnosing, controlling, restoring the abnormal plant situations. On the other hand, very little generalized display design concepts and evaluations are available. Events that are unfamiliar to operators and that has not been anticipated by designers may cause great threats to the nuclear power plant system safety operation. The abstraction hierarchy, considered most popular display design methodology but not generalized for nuclear power plant design space, has ken proposed as a representation frame work that can be adopted to design interfaces and supports operators in diagnosing overlooked events that should have been considered to operate plant safely. However most practical plant display systems do not fully stick to this design concept but partially rely on their philosophy from design experiences. Abstraction hierarchy display design concept will be do scribed and the trend of Advanced Control Room(ACR) CRT design will also be presented with the conventional display for the several type of plants. Consequently this complementary material should be of interest to designer and regulators concerned with nuclear power plant.

  • This paper proposes a wireless management system for a pet dog using wireless sensor network. The developed intelligent wireless management system is compose of a central control system, auto-feeder, miniguidance robot, and wireless sensing devices. The developed system uses three types of sensed data such as light, temperature, md sounds from a pet dog and surrounded environment respectively. The presented design method using these data provides an efficient way to controlling and monitoring the pet dog. The implemented system can be used as a design framework of portable device for the pet management.

  • This article is about using information technology to apply with water loss inspection system in District Metering Area (DMA). Inspector can check Flow rate and Minimum Night Flow; NMF via Smart Phone or PDA include sending SMS Alert in case the Pressure, Flow rate and NMF is over the range of controlling. This will be used as equipment to implement water loss in international proactive and can keep on water loss reduction more efficiency. The system consists of Data Logger which collects data of Flow rate from DMA Master Meter. PC is Wap Server which dial via modem in order to get data through FTP Protocal that will convert text file to Microsoft Access Database. Wappage will use xhtml language to show database on Wapbrowser and can show the result on Smart Phone or PDA by graph and table for system analysis.

  • The digital instrumentation and control system for the large scale system like the power plant must have the form of the heirachical structure. Because most large scale system have many control and process signals and it is distributed in the vade region, it is necessary to partition them into several subsystems. Therefore, the role of SCS(Supervisory Control System) having the functions of controlling and monitoring for the status of subsystems is very important. In this paper, new SCS for the effective control of the large scale system is proposed.

  • A RF front-end module is designed for GIS(Gas Insulated Substation) which is employed for effective and efficient very high voltage transmission. Major advantage of the unit is improved PO detection sensitivity through minimizing the effect of surrounding interference signals, which is achieved by controlling the gain and the selection of the frequency band, for the precise detection of any UHF PO (Partial Discharge) disturbance occurred in the GIS due to some unwanted problems. For the development of the module, various switches for providing selected signal paths, wideband LNA, 3 BPF for selecting detection frequency band, and video detector are designed, fabricated and measured on 1 mm FR4 substrate with various RF components. The detection sensitivity of the unit was <-60 dBm that is sufficient to detect UHF PO signals as low as 1 pC. It is believed that the value is enough to detect the signal occurred in GIS.

  • The ESS(Energy Saving System) is designed to have functions of controlling. monitoring for cooling system. etc. ESS consists of the I/O module, CPU module and Display module I/O module detects various ESS data on local area and treats signals via I/O interface system. The interface system receives various status data and outputs control signals. ESS is tested with dummy signal to verify proposed functions and is shown good results. For future study ESS will be tested under real condition in the ship.
