불연속 변조 기법을 이용한 고속철도 추진제어장치용 단상 PWM 컨버터 (Single Phase PWM Converter For High-Speed Railway Propulsion System Using Discontinuous PWM)

  • 본 논문에서는 불연속 변조 기법을 이용한 고속철도 추진제어장치용 단상 PWM 컨버터에 대해 연구하였다. 기존 PWM 컨버터는 대 전력 특성으로 인해 스위칭 손실을 줄이기 위해 주파수 변조지수를 10 이하로 낮게 사용함에 따라 제어의 대역폭이 감소하고, 안정적인 역률 제어를 위해 추가의 보상 기법을 필요로 하는 등의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 3상 PWM 인버터에서 사용하는 불연속 변조 기법을 단상 PWM 컨버터에 적용하였다. 제안한 방식은 옵셋 전압 기법을 활용하여 간단히 구현될 수 있으며 동일 스위칭 손실 대비 주파수 변조 지수를 2배 증가시켜 제어 특성을 향상시키고 스위치 간의 동특성도 동일하게 가져갈 수 있다. 100 kW급 PWM 컨버터에 대한 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안한 불연속 변조 기법에 대한 타당성을 검증하였다.

하지 정맥조영술 MDCT에서 고정 관전류 기법과 Z-축 자동 관전류 변동 제어에 의한 선량 비교 (Comparison Radiation Dose of Z-Axis Automatic Tube Current Modulation Technique with Fixed Tube Current Multi-Detector Row CT Scanning of Lower Extremity Venography)

  • 하지 정맥류 질환 환자를 대상으로 하지 정맥조영술 MDCT 검사에서 환자의 피폭선량을 최소화 하면서 최적의 진단영상을 묘출하기 위해 고정 관전류 기법과 Z-축 자동 관전류 변동 제어를 이용하여 CTDIvol(CT dose index volume), DLP(dose length product) 산출을 통한 영상의 노이즈를 측정하여 비교하였다. Monte Carlo simulation으로 200, 250, 300 mA에서 CTDIw, CTDIvol, DLP를 계산하여 고정 관전류 기법과 비교하였다. 고정 관전류 기법의 대상 환자는 50명(평균 나이, 46세; 연령 범위, 35-61세)으로 남성30명, 여성 20명 이었고, 평균 체중은 62.4 kg 이었다. Z-축 자동 관전류 변동 제어 대상 환자는 50명(평균 나이, 43세; 범위, 37-63세)으로 남성25명, 여성 25명 이었고 평균 체중은 60.1 kg 이었다. 고정 관전류 기법은 200, 250, 300 mA를 기준으로 하고, Z-축 자동 관전류 변동 제어는 노이즈 지수 10, 11, 12 HU에서 관전류 $70{\sim}450\;mA$ 범위 내에서 자동으로 선택하였다. 고정 관전류 기법과 Monte Carlo simulation 비교에서 200 mA에서의 CTDIvol은 차이가 없었으나, 250 mA, 300 mA 에서의 Monte Carlo simulation는 높았고, DLP는 모든 관전류에서 Monte Carlo simulation이 높게 측정 되었다. 노이즈는 고정 관전류에서 최소 $9.8{\pm}0.9\;HU$, 최대 $12.5{\pm}0.7\;HU$ 이었고, Z-축 자동 관전류 변동 제어에서는 최소 $11.3{\pm}0.8\;HU$, 최대 $12.9{\pm}0.7\;HU$이었다. Z-축 자동 관전류 변동 제어에서 노이즈 지수가 증가하면 CTDIvol과 DLP가 감소하였으나 노이즈는 증가하였다. 생식부위를 포함하는 하지 정맥조영술에서 Z-축 자동 관전류 변동 제어 방법이 고정 관전류 기법에 비해 선량을 감소하는 효과가 있었다.

3상 Z-소스 PWM 정류기의 입력 AC 전압 센서리스 제어 (Input AC Voltage Sensorless Control for a Three-Phase Z-Source PWM Rectifier)

  • Respect to the input AC voltage and output DC voltage, conventional three-phase PWM rectifier is classified as the voltage type rectifier with boost capability and the current type rectifier voltage with buck capability. Conventional PWM rectifier can not at the same time the boost and buck capability and its bridge is weak in the shoot- through state. These problems can be solved by Z-source PWM rectifier which has all characteristic of voltage and current type PWM rectifier. By shoot-through duty ratio control, the Z-source PWM rectifier can buck and boost at the same time, also, there is no need to consider the dead time. This paper proposes the input AC voltage sensorless control method of a three-phase Z-source PWM rectifier in order to accomplish the unity input power factor and output DC voltage control. The proposed method is estimated the input AC voltage by using input AC current and output DC voltage, hence, the sensor for the input AC voltage detection is no needed. comparison of the estimated and detected input AC voltage, estimated phase angle of the input voltage, the output DC voltage response for reference value, unity power factor, FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) of the estimated voltage and efficiency are verified by PSIM simulation.

  • In this paper, four switches three-phase Z-source dynamic harmonic filter is proposed. It has many advantages, such as reduction of the cost, switching loss and smaller drive circuit. In order to reduction harmonics, new PWM modulation technique with a variable index has been suggested that in comparison with a fixed index type has more capability. The paper presents an application of direct current control(DCC) method in Z-source dynamic harmonic filter to reduce the harmonics generated by the non-linear load. The experimental results will verify the validity of the proposed method.

  • This paper describes a new pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme suitable for microprocessor-based PWM inverters. Optimal switching patterns minimizing the performance index corresponding to the distortion factor are decided in real time by numerical calculation using the microprocessor-implemented control system. This PWM method is compared with conventional methods, such as the natural PWM and the direct PWM. Harmonic analysis using digital simulations shows that the proposed PWM scheme has much less low-order harmonics than the other methods. The validity of this method is verified in experiments using a microprocessor-based control system, where a 16-bit single-chip microcontroller, Intel 80c196kc is used.

  • This paper presents a study on a current control of a PM synchronous motor which is fed by two-level voltage source inverter in the high modulation index area. In order to increase dynamic response and extend speed limit caused by voltage limit, overmodulation method is generally used. The current control in overmodulation have voltage limit. So larger voltage command than voltage limit should be diminished. In this paper, the problem conventional normalization method is analyzed and New normalization method in overmodulation region is proposed.

  • The paper aims on an analysis for dc boost control using Z-source inverter. The modified space vector PWM method is used for controlling both the dc boost and ac output controls in the Z-source inverter. The capacitor voltage and the voltage stress of device with both the shoot-through time and modulation index are analyzed considering the zero state time of inverter. The theoretical analysis is verified with the simulation studies and experiments with 32-bit DSP.

  • This paper presents a control strategy to achieve the balanced sinusoidal output currents, as well as sinusoidal input currents for the matrix converter (MC) under unbalanced input voltages. By regulating the modulation index of the converter according to the instantaneous input voltages, the output currents are kept balanced and sinusoidal. In order to obtain sinusoidal input currents, the input power factor angle should be dynamically calculated based on the positive and negative sequence components of the input voltages. This paper proposes a simple method to construct the expected input power factor angle without the complicated sequence component extraction of input voltages. Simulation results are given to validate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.

3-Level T-type Inverter Operation Method Using Level Change

  • In this study, a selective inverter operation between a 2-level voltage source converter (VSC) and a 3-level T-type VSC (3LT VSC) is proposed to improve the efficiency of a 3LT VSC. The 3LT VSC topology, except for its neutral-point switches, has similar operations as that of the 2-level VSC. If an operation mode is changed according to efficiency, the efficiency can be improved because efficiencies of each methods are depending on current and MI (Modulation Index). The proposed method calculates the power losses of the two topologies and operates as the having lower losses. To calculate the losses, the switching and conduction losses based on the operation mode of each topology were analyzed. The controller determined the operation mode of the 2- or 3-level VSC based on the power loss calculated during every cycle. The validity of the proposed control scheme was investigated through simulation and experiments. The waveform and average efficiency of each method were compared.

  • This paper proposes a torque control method for surface mounted permanent magnetic synchronous motor (PMSM) driven by a 2-level voltage source driven inverter, which has fast torque response and small torque ripple. The proposed torque control method follows the finite control set model predictive control (FCS-MPC) strategy. A reference state is derived at each time step for the given time varying torque reference and the cost index is defined so that the tracking error for this reference state should be penalized. The choice of an optimal output voltage vector is made first from the 6 possible active voltage vectors of the 2-level voltage source inverter. Then a modulation factor for the chosen optimal voltage vector is obtained so that the torque ripple can be reduced further. It is shown that the proposed FCS-MPC control method yields fast torque tracking response and small torque ripple through simulation and experiments.
