The Mevelana sect is a spiritual Islamic group experiencing spiritual transaction with their god through a peculiar dancing as a form of religious ritual. The Mevelana, a sect of Islamic Sufism, has their head mosque in Konya in Turkey. Although Mevelana sect is regarded as heretic of Islam, it has exerted considerable influence on the Islamic religion through its peculiar religious worshiping form constituted in dancing and reciting poems. Nowadays, Turkey recognizes the Mevelana dancing as their precious cultural legacy of a long history, exerting public information efforts to give it for wider publicity of Turkey to the world. The Mevelana dress with ornament attired for the ritual dancing performance is regarded to symbolize a spiritual medium, which leads to conciliation with the eternity. The straight lines and curved line characteristic of the Mevelana dancer's trousers, skirt, jacket and such mirrors the image of the Orientals, which is in peculiar contrast with the white and gray colors of the dress with ornament. The impression of the spiritual Mevelana dressing in harmony with the dynamic dancing motion goes beyond mere a religious dressing. It is expressive of a graceful and sophisticated modern formative art, of which the mystic design gives an inspiration to the modern fashion. After Poiret, Islamic factors have emerged in the modern fashion. For instance, a hat with Arabic fashion lapel, a Fez hat of Turkish style, harem pants and such are still popular in the modern fashion. It seems probable that the Iraq War would far more activate the influence of Arabic culture to the modern fashion. By making an analysis on the religious background and formative characteristics of the Mevelana dressing, and by giving design examples on how the Mevelanan dressing has been applied to the modern fashion, this research suggests working out new designs by making a renewed application of their characteristics to the modern fashion.

A real-time digital time-stamp sorting algorithm used in the In-Beam positron emission tomography (In-Beam PET) is presented. The algorithm is operated in the field programmable gate array (FPGA) and a small amount of registers, MUX and memory cells are used. It is developed for sorting the data of annihilation event from front-end circuits, so as to identify the coincidence events efficiently in a large amount of data. In the In-Beam PET, each annihilation event is detected by the detector array and digitized by the analog to digital converter (ADC) in Data Acquisition Unit (DAQU), with a resolution of 14 bits and sampling rate of 50 MS/s. Test and preliminary operation have been implemented, it can perform a sorting operation under the event count rate up to 1 MHz per channel, and support four channels in total, count rate up to 4 MHz. The performance of this algorithm has been verified by pulse generator and ²²Na radiation source, which can sort the events with chaotic order into chronological order completely. The application of this algorithm provides not only an efficient solution for selection of coincidence events, but also a design of electronic circuit with a small-scale structure.

This thesis, drastically breaking from the prior form of art, searched mutual relationship between surrealism centering around surrealism which tried to liberate the spirit of humanbeing by investigating internal world of the humanbeing. That is to say, it is the purpose of this thesis to study the relationship between artistic trend and costume by grasping how the artistic trend of an age was specifically accepted and expressed to the modern costume as the foundation of fashion. Followings are the searched results for searching mutual relationship of the surrealism and modern costume. At first, surrealism made it possible from modern costume to an expression of formative art, and at the same time emerge from existed uniform costume, and thus presented new possibility to the harmony of costume and art with fresh and avant-garde sense. Second, by being applied the expressing method of depaysement which could materialize surrealistic image to the modern costume from various angels, and thus it suggested new aesthetic conception different from general conception of the traditional costume. Third, with regard to modern costume, introduction of various object due to thought of surrealism was a new and innovative attempt, and thus it suggested infinitive possibility of creation. So, it suggested that we could thrown away a fixed idea and that every objects could be moulded. As the result of the afore-said, wide application of the idea and formative feature of surrealism with regard to modern costume did not only ring the diversification and individualization of the costume escaped from the past traditional idea, but also at the same time prepared modern costume with the moment to develop as a formative arts.

We re-classified traditional medicinal prescriptions in Dong-Eui-Bo-Gam for the modern application using Tradimed database. They could be devided into 6 categories by the definitions of the related laws. Herbal ethical drugs are the majority, 3926 items, account for 60.21% of total items. Herbal Health Functional Foods stands second, 1480 items, 22.70%, Herbal over the counter drugs are 893 items, 13.69%. These three categories are about 83% of total items. Herbal medical supplies are 158 items, 2.42%, Herbal medical tools are 44 items, 0.67%, Herbal cosmetics are 20 items, occupied 0.31 %. Therefore we have known that traditional medicinal prescriptions can be used not only as drugs, but also as funtional foods, cosmetics, and tools. So they should be developed as modern products to make best use of them. And we suggested that we need official criteria of herbs of careful use and higher standards for herbs which can be used as foods.

The purpose of this study is to examine the tattoo look in modern fashion from the aspects of 'expression techniques' and 'aesthetic properties'. Tattoos are one of the body decoration which have been continued for a long time all over the world and have contained various meanings in : invocation. symbolization. solidification, exotic tastes, and body decoration. While tattoos have been progressed for the past time, they have been enlarged into body painting, make-up, and even into body art. Besides, their technical skills and equipments have been also developed. Therefore, tattoos are neither tabooed nor restricted in lower class, such as gangsters, bickers, prostitutes, etc., any longer. They are showed in everywhere of our society, running on the fashion. Specially, in fashion, they are shown through the 'tattoo look' designed by talented fashion designers. Futhermore, tattoos are one of the things which have gotten a new value under the Post-modernism and the turning of the century. The various tattoo looks in modern fashion are classified into four categories, according to the expression techniques, the use of see-through, reappearance of primitive body-decoration, application of tattoo patterns, application of street styles'tattoo patterns, make-up & body painting. And, they are also classified into four categories, according to the aesthetic properties Exoticism, Eroticism, Primitivism, and Grotesque.

This study discusses the interpretation and application of a post modern perspective to child development knowledge and early childhood teacher education. The survey of literature focused on the post modern approach to child development knowledge and early childhood teacher education, research in the reassessment of child development knowledge as it is challenged by the post modern perspective, and deconstruction of both child development knowledge and early childhood teacher education. It was concluded that child development knowledge is necessary but insufficient to early childhood teacher education. In the post modern perspective, the movement toward fostering "reflective practitioners" and basic knowledge base is more significant. Therefore, the responsibility of academics is to walk the fine line between presenting a formal knowledge base so that students gain assumption to guide their thinking and practice, critiquing both theory and derived practices.

본 연구는 전통 인물화의 현대적 정체성 확립과 현세적 변용을 위한 대안을 모색하고자 웹기반에서 개방적이고 다매체성을 통해 의사소통에 대한 근본적인 해법을 탐구하는 디지털 스토리텔링을 적용하였다. 구체적인 예시로 김홍도의 도석인물화를 선정하고 작품 속에 담겨있는 내러티브와 예술적 의의를 탐색하였고 김홍도의 신화적 스토리를 디지털스토리텔링 방식으로 전개하였다. 이러한 과정에서 전통 인물화에 대한 내러티브 기반의 디지털 스토리텔링의 개발전략을 제시하였고 그에 따른 기대효과도 확인하였다. 전통 인물화에 대한 스토리텔링은 역사인물이 갖는 역사적, 예술적 가치와 의미를 찾아내고 그것이 현시대에 공감적인 의미를 지니도록 시대 반영적 해석 및 변용을 하는데 유용한 접근이 될 수 있다.

The types of China Ancientry Architecture are rich and colorful. Among all these architectures, the Traditional Residence Architecture have the closest relationship with the mass's life. Traditional Residence Architecture reflected the connotation of the culture, philosophy ideology, especially the relationship between dwelling house and the nature, which can't be ignored by our modern people as well as the modern design. Beijing Sahap-won residence architecture is one of the apotheosis of China Traditional Residence Architecture, it'svery suitable for family's habitation. There's brilliance layout in space; around symmetry and radioactivity in plane, discretion grade in line, independence and continuity in inner spatial, with high privacy and benignity, Before the development and explore of modern APT Architecture design, we should fully understand the feature of Ancientry Residence House, inherit and carry forward its culture. The proposed design is started from the consolidation of the traditional feature of Beijing Sahap-won and the modern residence architecture, therefore to satisfy the modern people's fierce pursuing to the traditional culture.

There are various kinds of patterns on Li brocade textile of Hainan province in China. Those patterns are rich and colorful. Li (黎族) traditional brocade is an ancient exquisite craftsmanship and a world cultural heritage. This study analyzed and categorized Li brocade pattern of traditional Chinese textiles. Li (黎族) traditional brocade is an ancient exquisite craftsmanship. Based on the research of classifications of Li brocade patterns, expound the application of women's costume. The patterns of Li brocade textile of Hainan province analyzed through three levels: design transforming, meaning prolongation, and refining spirit. The patterns were explored the feasibility way to inherit the patterns of Li brocade for the modern fashion product design. The results showed that Li brocade textile pattern of Hainan province were images sourced from local environment and geographical terrain. They contained the nation's history memory, religion, hope for life of the Li nationality. Those patterns can be categorized as human figure pattern, animal pattern, geometric pattern, appliance or architecture pattern, and Chinese character pattern.
