This paper presents the process on the construction for the remote distribution pole transformer monitoring system. Especially, this system uses CATV cable as communication media which is located in KEPCO's main distribution line. It has four major components such as sensor for measuring secondary voltage and currents of distribution transformer, RF modem for data modulating/de-modulating, communication media for sending/receiving of data, and pc server for monitoring the results of sensing or computing information. This paper also describes the configuration of these each component's configuration and its functions.

Recently, the electronic circuit with microprocessor based control system instead of conventional analog circuit is widely used for rolling stock, and also these circuits are widely adopted for train control and monitoring in modem rapid transit system. Noise, distortion and attenuation are always present in electronic equipments and strictly limit performance. The purpose of this paper is to propose noise reduction technology for electronic equipments in rolling stock.

In modem manufacturing, new applations and technologies demand smaller, and functional devices to replace large systems. As miniaturization becomes a necessity, many companies are interested in small pumps for use in creating ultra-high vacuum, but past efforts to develop such systems have failed due to problems with vibration, stress, heat and power consumption. This paper shows analysis-based design techniques for high vacuum turbomolecular pump by finite element analysis.

We studied about the lighting control system on pc using PLM(Power Line Modem). The PLM is composed of FSK IC-chip and the circuit for the power line communication. We developed the control program using visual c++ language on PC for dimming the lamps. In this paper dimming controller was made with PIC161F874 and its communication speed was 1200 boad rates.

Recently, the microprocessor with network function based control system instead of conventional microprocessor is widely used for industrial applications, and also these technologies are widely adopted for train control and monitoring in modem rapid transit system. The purpose of this paper is to propose a criteria for data transmission, which was designed and realized through Korea High Speed Train. Noise, distortion and attenuation are always present in data transmission system and strictly limit performance. This paper describes a method to calculate the propagation constant, attenuation constant, phase velocity and length of stub.

The voluntary simplicity lifestyle can be the core concept of alternative lifestyle to solve so many problems which were produced by modern materialistic lifestyle. This study examined the meaning and the development in historical perspective of voluntary simplicity lifestyle and suggest the practical was how to live voluntary simplicity lifestyle actively. In this paper, an simple load management system was introduced. This system is composed of Main Controller, DTU(Dispersion Terminal Unit), Power Line Modem and HMI (Human Machine Interface) program. To control distant loads, network function using powerline communication is implemented in DTU, with HMI program, the untrained users are able to operate system easily. Additionally using the Powerline, the cost and time of installation is saved. The system performance was proved in a several experiments.

To realize the power line communication system, the line coupler is one of the most important systems, which must be adjustable to the power line characteristics. This embedded module measures significant wave height and zero crossing periods through spectral energy from a record of time series heave motion. An ARM7TDMI core microcontroller serves as the main control unit which performs the appropriate control and signal conditioning. Monitored wave characteristic is transmitted with satellite modem. Mathematical equations on signal conditioning and experiments procedures are documented in this paper.

We deals with stationary layout control system of AGV. It is a intelligent control system to he wholly charged control PC a layout information and guided command and to be controlled a vehicle driving, steering, safety of natural functions of AGV. Fieldbus concentrator of stationary layout control system serves control command from control PC and status information of AGV. Telegram software monitors transmitted command and status information through IR(JnfraRed) modem. Especially it is possible to easily network to use not an exclusive controller of AGV but personal computer(PC) when communicate and interface a different kind of controller.
