EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE BUSHING CHARACTERISTICS UNDER SEVERAL EXCITATION INPUTS FOR BUSHING MODELING

  • The bushing element shows nonlinear characteristics in both displacements and frequencies, also with hysteretic responses for repeated vibrational excitations. Since the characteristics of the rubber bushing significantly affects the accuracy of the vehicle dynamic simulation result, it should be accurately modeled in the vehicle suspension model. To develop an accurate bushing model for vehicle dynamics analysis, the bushing characteristics under several excitation inputs must be known. In this paper, a 3-axis tester was used to capture the bushing characteristics. The random inputs, sine inputs, and step inputs were imposed on each axis of the bushing. Also, two-axis inputs, the radial-axial and radial-normal inputs, were simultaneously imposed on the tester. Three-axis inputs including the radial-axial-normal direction were supplied to the tester. Bushing characteristics of each case were precisely analyzed. These results could be available for dynamic modeling of bushing.

측정한 산란계수에 의한 HEMT Modeling 변수의 결정에 관한 연구 (A Study of Determination of the Basic Device Parameters of HEMT Modeling by Measured S-parameter)

  • 본 논문에서는 HEMT의 산란계수와 DC특성을 측정하여 모델링 변수들을 정확하게 추출하는 방법을 제안하였다, HEMT의 소신호 등가회로 모델링 변수들 중 extrinsic 직렬 저항은 측정한 DC특성을 이용하여 FUKUI 방법으로 구하였고, 다른 모델링 변수들은 HP 8510C Network Analyzer를 사용하여 여러 바이어스에서 측정한 S-parameter를 이용하여 변수 값을 결정하였다. 최적화 과정을 거쳐 얻은 등가 회로의 중요한 변수인 gm값은 실제 측정한 gm값과 0.078%오차만을 보인 반면, 제작자가 제공한 데이터를 이용하여 최적화하여 얻은 gm값은 실제 측정한 gm값과 175.38%나 오차를 보였다. 그러므로 반드시 정확하게 측정하여 얻은 초기 값을 가지고 정확한 변수를 측정할 수 있다는 것과 HEMT 모델링 변수들을 추출하는 과정을 자세하게 제시했다.

  • Load models are important for improving the accuracy of stability analysis and power flow studies. Load characteristics change for different voltages and frequencies. In this research, ANN is used to construct the load model. Characteristics of some residential loads are tested under various voltage and frequency conditions. Acquired data are used to construct load models by ANN. Experiments and modeling results are presented in conclusions.

  • This paper proposes a static vu compensator using hybrid cascade 5-level PWM inverter, Circuit DQ transformation is used for modeling and analysis of the system, and it reveals the important characteristics and related equations of the system. Also, a multilevel PWM technique suitable to hybrid structure Is proposed for less harmonics in the input currents of the system. Finally, the validity of tile characteristics analysis is shown through PSIM simulations.

  • 본 논문에서는 다목적실용위성 1호의 태양전지를 모델링하고 해석하였다. 태양전지판의 모델링은 적은 수의 데이터만을 갖고 있으므로 비선형 시스템을 모델링하는 데 적합한 누럴 알고리즘을 사용하였다. 모델링 결과는 다목적실용위성 1호의 태양전지 셀 데이터를 고려한 태양전지판의 해석과 시뮬레이션에 의해 그 특성을 증명하였다. 또한, 태양전지판의 특성 및 전력발생 특성은 모델링 결과를 사용하여 해석하였다

  • General systems have many substructures assembled at joints. The bolted joint is generally used in assembling the mechanical parts. However, there are no effective modeling methods to analyze the dynamic characteristics of bolt jointed structure using the finite element (FE) analysis, especially in case of large area contact. Moreover, the design methods for the appropriate bolt locations and the number of bolts considering the dynamic characteristics are not guided properly. In this study, a proper modeling method is developed to simulate the dynamic characteristics of a structure with the large interfaced area using the cone frusta method and spring elements. The natural frequencies are also controlled by adjusting the bolt-joint location and the number of bolts considering relative distances in mode shapes at the interface of bolt-jointed plates. The Modeling method and the optimized design method are verified based on the experimental and the FE analysis results.

  • In this paper, it deals with Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) which has fuzzy logic contoroller(FLC). The modeling and FLC of SRM are presented. The modeling and FLC of SRM are presented. The results of simulation show the speed responce characteristics of SRM with FLC. As a result, the SRM controller with FLC is verified by comparison between PI controller and fuzzy logic controller.

  • To reduce the shock in shifting the clutches and the brakes in automatic transmission have to be connected smoothly and disconnected rapidly. It is PCSV(Pressure Control Solenoid Valve) that play this role of automatic transmission. In this paper there were two steps in the analysis of the PCSV. The first step was modeling the elctromagnet by the permeance method. The second step was modeling the hydraulic circuit by the pressure differential equation. In addition to this modeling a experiment was performed and the commercial package program was used in order to justify modeling. The result of modeling coincide with the result of experiment and commercial package program. As a result this modeling is usable in analysis of dynamic characteractic of the PCSV.

  • In geotechnical engineering, the mechanical characteristics of soil, the main material of geotechnical engineering, is highly related to the confining stress. Reduced-scale physical modeling is often conducted to evaluate the performance or to verify the behavior of the geotechnical systems. However, reduced-scale physical modeling cannot replicate the behavior of the full-scale prototype because the reduced-scale causes difference of self weight stress level. Geotechnical centrifuges are commonly used for physical model tests to compensate the model for the stress level. Physical modeling techniques using centrifuge are widely adopted in most of geotechnical engineering fields these days due to its various advantages. In this paper, fundamentals of geotechnical centrifuge modeling and its application area are explained. State-of-the-art geotechnical centrifuge equipment is also described as an example of KOCED geotechnical centrifuge facility at KAIST.

  • 영구자석 동기전동기는 높은 출력밀도와 효율 확보가 가능하나, 제작에 필요한 재료의 가격이 비싸고 설계가 유도전동기 대비 다소 어려운 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 효율 및 유지보수 편의성 등이 모두 고려된 최적의 전동기 개발 및 관련 제어연구가 필요한 실정이다. 뿐만 아니라, 실질적인 전동기에 의한 구동은 좁은 정격영역에서의 최고효율의 증대 요구와 전체 전기구동 영역에서의 평균 효율 증대, 평균 출력의 증대 요구로 이어지고 있다. 이러한 움직임에 의해 영구자석이 필요 없는 릴럭턴스 전동기 (Reluctance Motor)가 하나의 대안으로 검토되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 희토류 영구자석 전동기를 대체할 수 있는 미래기술 개발과, 희토류 저감형 전동기와 탈 희토류 전동기의 기술 선점을 요구하는 시대적 이슈 (Issue)에 맞춰 영구자석이 필요 없는 스위치드 릴럭턴스 전동기 (Switched Reluvtance Motor, SRM)에 대해 기계언어(C 언어)를 통한 modeling과 그에 따른 SRM의 특성을 연구하고자 한다.
