객체지향 IDEF 기반의 통합모형화 방법론 : 조선 CIMS 분야 사례연구 (An Integrated Modeling Methodology Based on Object-oriented IDEF (Application of the CIMS for Ship Production))

  • Nowadays, the modeling of information systems have been enabled by various models and methodologies that are used for different purposes and perspectives upon the systems. The integrated modeling methodology that integrates these models and methodologies has become important concerns in system integration such as CIM and PDM. The primary objective of this paper is to propose a comprehensive integrated modeling methodology that integrates the OOIDEFO function model, OOIDEFO information model, node model, user interface model, and organization model for an effective analysis, design and implementation for system integration. This methodology covers the generic requirements of modeling methodology such as graphical notations, modeling processes, and abstraction mechanisms. Also, this methodology uses an 00 paradigm throughout the entire systems development life cycle. In order to prove the consistency and efficiency of the proposed methodology, the CIMS for ship production is modeled and prototyped.

Design Feature-Based Jetfighter Shape Modeling

  • A jetfighter shape modeling method based on design features is researched, to improve the efficiency of shape modeling in the stage of conceptual aircraft design. The aircraft's general design features and shape parameters, including geometric and position parameters, are described. The coordinate systems of the entire aircraft and its components are defined. As a sample of local shape, a method of inlet intake modeling is introduced. The whole process of the modeling method is proposed. Three examples of different jetfighters are listed, to describe the achievement of basic layout, which includes four main elements. The Fusion of Components can be achieved by regulating the details of the sections of the fuselage. Sample Cases of typical layouts are shown to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, which provides the basis for further analysis and optimization.

시스템의 불확실성에 대한 신경망 모델을 통한 강인한 비선형 제어 (A Robust Nonlinear Control Using the Neural Network Model on System Uncertainty)

  • Although there is an analytical proof of modeling capability of the neural network, the convergency error in nonlinearity modeling is inevitable, since the steepest descent based practical larning algorithms do not guarantee the convergency of modeling error. Therefore, it is difficult to apply the neural network to control system in critical environments under an on-line learning scheme. Although the convergency of modeling error of a neural network is not guatranteed in the practical learning algorithms, the convergency, or boundedness of tracking error of the control system can be achieved if a proper feedback control law is combined with the neural network model to solve the problem of modeling error. In this paper, the neural network is introduced for compensating a system uncertainty to control a nonlinear dynamic system. And for suppressing inevitable modeling error of the neural network, an iterative neural network learning control algorithm is proposed as a virtual on-line realization of the Adaptive Variable Structure Controller. The efficiency of the proposed control scheme is verified from computer simulation on dynamics control of a 2 link robot manipulator.

Efficiency of various structural modeling schemes on evaluating seismic performance and fragility of APR1400 containment building

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficiency of various structural modeling schemes for evaluating seismic performances and fragility of the reactor containment building (RCB) structure in the advanced power reactor 1400 (APR1400) nuclear power plant (NPP). Four structural modeling schemes, i.e. lumped-mass stick model (LMSM), solid-based finite element model (Solid FEM), multi-layer shell model (MLSM), and beam-truss model (BTM), are developed to simulate the seismic behaviors of the containment structure. A full three-dimensional finite element model (full 3D FEM) is additionally constructed to verify the previous numerical models. A set of input ground motions with response spectra matching to the US NRC 1.60 design spectrum is generated to perform linear and nonlinear time-history analyses. Floor response spectra (FRS) and floor displacements are obtained at the different elevations of the structure since they are critical outputs for evaluating the seismic vulnerability of RCB and secondary components. The results show that the difference in seismic responses between linear and nonlinear analyses gets larger as an earthquake intensity increases. It is observed that the linear analysis underestimates floor displacements while it overestimates floor accelerations. Moreover, a systematic assessment of the capability and efficiency of each structural model is presented thoroughly. MLSM can be an alternative approach to a full 3D FEM, which is complicated in modeling and extremely time-consuming in dynamic analyses. Specifically, BTM is recommended as the optimal model for evaluating the nonlinear seismic performance of NPP structures. Thereafter, linear and nonlinear BTM are employed in a series of time-history analyses to develop fragility curves of RCB for different damage states. It is shown that the linear analysis underestimates the probability of damage of RCB at a given earthquake intensity when compared to the nonlinear analysis. The nonlinear analysis approach is highly suggested for assessing the vulnerability of NPP structures.

Utilization of SketchUp for Efficient 3D Modeling of Buildings

  • The information management system for urban planning, urban management and related decision making is increasing an importance in recent years. Especially, the information about 3D buildings in urban area is necessary for urban management related precise location based service. However, it takes a lot of time, effort, and costs to produce 3D modeling data of buildings. These problems have been found in many studies, but the research to solve these problems is still necessary. In this study, we have tested an efficient 3D modeling method of building to solve these problems. SketchUp was used to test 3D modeling methods with OSM(OpenStreetMap) data. The other 3D modeling method using a digital map was tested. The 3D modeling of building data was efficient using PlaceMaker, which can use OSM data. In addition, modeling was possible through simple editing of the digital map and automatic building generation. The efficiency of the research results is presented by comparing with the traditional method based on the regulation and the stadard man power issued by Korean government. These two 3D modeling methods of building tested through the study can be used as basic data for related research and work. Additional studies should be conducted to improve the accuracy of the building model and determine how to obtain height data efficiently.

비선형 RF 전력 증폭기의 효율적 다항식 기반 이산 행동 모델링 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Efficient Polynomial-Based Discrete Behavioral Modeling Scheme for Nonlinear RF Power Amplifier)

  • 본 논문에서는 비선형 RF 전력 증폭기의 효율적인 다항식 기반의 이산 신호 모델링 방법을 제시하였다. 비선형 RF 증폭기의 입, 출력 신호의 샘플링 과정을 통하여 이산 비선형 모델을 추출하는 과정을 기술하고, 테일러 급수와 메모리 다항식 구조를 이용한 다항식 기반의 비선형 이산 모델에서 모델 인자인 샘플률, 비선형 차수, 최대 메모리 깊이의 변화에 따른 모델의 오차를 분석하였다. 다항식 기반의 비선형 모델에서 오차는 샘플률, 비선형 차수, 최대 메모리 깊이에 대하여 특정 값 이후부터 일반적으로 수렴하는 특성을 보인다. 이에 모델 인자값에 따른 시스템의 복잡성을 고려하는 효율적인 이산 신호 모델링 기법을 제시하였다. 모델링 효율 지수를 정의하고, 이를 활용하여 최적의 모델 인자 값을 추출하는 방법을 제시하였다. 제시한 방법을 WiBro, WCDMA 등의 다양한 신호를 가지는 RF 전력 증폭기의 모델링에 적용하고, 제시한 방법의 효율성을 검증하였다. 제안된 기법은 빠른 속도의 모델링과 저렴한 가격의 디지털부를 사용할 수 있게 하여 차후 광대역 송신기에서의 빠른 속도와 낮은 가격의 디지털 전치 왜곡기 구성 등에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Development of simulation model for fuel efficiency of agricultural tractor

  • The objective of this study is to predict the fuel efficiency of an agricultural tractor. The fuel efficiency of the tractor during rotary tillage was predicted using numerical modeling. A numerical model was developed using Simulation X. Based on tractor power flow, numerical modeling consisted of an engine, transmission, PTO (power take off), and hydraulics. The specifications of major components utilized in the numerical model were the same as those of a 71 kW tractor (field test tractor). The load that was inputted for fuel efficiency prediction into the simulation model was obtained from a field test. Fuel efficiency predictions were conducted by comparing field test results and simulation results. In addition, it was performed by dividing the rotary tillage and steering section. Main results are as follows: first, t-values of engine torque were measured to be 0.31 in the rotary tillage and 0.92 in the steering section. Second, t-values of fuel consumption were measured to be 0.51 and 5.41 in the rotary tillage and the steering section, respectively. Finally, t-values of fuel efficiency were measured to be 1.72 and 40 in the rotary tillage and the steering section, respectively. The results show no significant differences with t-values of less than 5% in the rotary tillage. But, it shows significant differences in the steering section. Therefore, simulation for accurate fuel efficiency prediction requires a suitable algorithm or detailed design of the simulation model in the steering section.

유동층연소로에서 탈황효율 실험 및 예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Experiments and Prediction of Desulfurization Efficiency in Fluidized Bed Combustor)

  • We have studied that the prediction of desulfurization efficiency by limestone in fluidized-bed coal combustor. The results were presented as follows : Firstly, the bed temperature had a great deal of effect on the desulfurization and the optimum temperature of limestone was 85$0^{\circ}C$~90$0^{\circ}C$. Secondly, as the velocity and temperature increased, $K_{s}$, K and the desulfurization efficiency increased. So, $k_{s}$, $k_{d}$ highly depended on the air velocity and bed temperature, and $k_{s}$, $k_{d}$ were 82.53 mm/sec, 0.0041/sec at 0.2 m/sec, 85$0^{\circ}C$, $k_{s}$, $k_{d}$ were 125.62 mm/sec. 0.00532/sec at 0.3 m/sec, 80$0^{\circ}C$ respectively. And $k_{s}$, $k_{d}$ were 143.78 mm/sec, 0.00568/sec at 0.3 m/sec, 85$0^{\circ}C$. Thirdly, as a result of desulfurization modeling, there was good agreement between theory and experiments as anthracite fraction increased.
