Nonlinear Magnetic Modeling of EI Core Inductor by PLECS Simulation

  • EI core inductor in power electronic circuit simulation is usually assumed as linear by using matrix model. However, nonlinear magnetic characteristics such as B-H characteristic are also important for the accurate simulation of the circuit behavior. To model nonlinear magnetic characteristics of EI core inductor with only DC bias table, this paper presents a method in PLECS simulation tool which is a commercially available simulation tool for power electronics circuit analysis. Comparing with ideal matrix model, the simplification and accuracy are improved by this modeling method. Also, compared to analysis by FEM, it is much simpler, faster and easier to simulate with power electronics circuit. Validation of the proposed model was verified by simulation and experiment results.

Saliency-Assisted Collaborative Learning Network for Road Scene Semantic Segmentation

  • Semantic segmentation of road scene is the key technology of autonomous driving, and the improvement of convolutional neural network architecture promotes the improvement of model segmentation performance. The existing convolutional neural network has the simplification of learning knowledge and the complexity of the model. To address this issue, we proposed a road scene semantic segmentation algorithm based on multi-task collaborative learning. Firstly, a depthwise separable convolution atrous spatial pyramid pooling is proposed to reduce model complexity. Secondly, a collaborative learning framework is proposed involved with saliency detection, and the joint loss function is defined using homoscedastic uncertainty to meet the new learning model. Experiments are conducted on the road and nature scenes datasets. The proposed method achieves 70.94% and 64.90% mIoU on Cityscapes and PASCAL VOC 2012 datasets, respectively. Qualitatively, Compared to methods with excellent performance, the method proposed in this paper has significant advantages in the segmentation of fine targets and boundaries.

테크놀로지를 활용한 모델의 평가와 수정 과정에서 나타난 예비화학교사의 모델의 본성에 대한 인식 변화: 보일 법칙을 중심으로 (Changes in Pre-service Chemistry Teachers' Cognition of the Nature of Model in the Evaluation and Modification Process of Models Using Technology: Focusing on Boyle's Law)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 테크놀로지를 활용한 모델의 평가와 수정 과정에서 나타난 예비화학교사들의 모델의 본성에 대한 인식 변화를 분석하는 것이다. 모델의 본성에 대한 인식 변화는 선행연구에서 예비화학교사들에게 부족하다고 판단된 표상적 측면의 함축화와 간단화, 설명적 측면의 해석, 추론, 설명, 정량화를 중심으로 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 충청북도에 있는 사범대학의 3학년 예비화학교사 19명을 대상으로 테크놀로지를 활용하여 개발한 보일 법칙 관련 모델을 평가하고, 평가 결과를 바탕으로 모델을 수정하여 최종 평가하도록 요구하였다. 연구 결과, 표상적 측면의 간단화, 설명적 측면의 해석, 설명, 정량화에 대한 예비화학교사들의 인식이 모델의 평가와 수정 과정을 통해 긍정적으로 변화되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 모델의 본성에 대한 인식이 변화하기 위해서는 모델의 평가와 수정 과정이 핵심적인 역할을 하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 하지만 표상적 측면의 함축화와 설명적 측면의 추론에 대한 인식 변화는 거의 나타나지 않았다. 이러한 요소들에 대한 인식은 다른 요소들의 인식보다 변화하기 어려운 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 예비화학교사들을 위한 보다 정교한 교육 설계가 필요하다.

  • 이 논문은 스프레드시트를 활용한 수학적 모델링에서 스프레드시트 환경이 수학적 모델의 정교화과정에 어떤 영향을 미치는 지를 고찰한 것이다. 좀 더 자세히 살피면 수학적 모델링에서 스프레드시트 모델의 활용은 학생이 분석 불가능한 수학적모델도 분석할 수 있도록 해줌으로써 모델을 단순화하지 않고, 대신 모델을 정교화 할 수 있는 기회를 제공하고 수학적 개념을 확장해 나갈 수 있음을 보였다. 또한 수학적 모델을 스프레드시트 모델로 변환하여, 수학적 모델로부터 수학적 결론을 얻는 단계를 거치지 않고도 실세계 상황을 해석하고 설명할 수 있는 기회를 제공할 수 있음을 보였다.

능동제어식 현가계의 유압 구동장치에 대한 단순화 모델 유도 (Deduction of a Simplified Model for the Hydraulic Actuator for a Low-band Type Suspension System)

  • In this paper, a simplified model of a hydraulic actuator system for a low-band type active suspension system is derived. To reduce the order of model, time constants of each chamber in hydraulic system are neglected except that of an accumulator. And the dynamics of a spool in the pressure control valve is regarded as a first-order system. The step response and the frequency response of the simplified second-order simulation model exhibit a good agreement with those of the actual system as well as those of the tenth-order simulation model. It is possible to simplify the tenth-order model to the second-order one. The low-band type active suspension model is built up by combining of a quarter car model test rig to testify the validity of the simplified model. The experimental results of suspension characteristics show that the simplified second-order hydraulic actuator model is reasonable to describe the dynamics of the actual hydraulic actuator system for a low-band type active suspension system.

  • Existing design equations generally overestimate the shear strength of the circular transverse reinforcement. This is due to the simplification of the discrete distribution of the reinforcement to the continuous one and the inappropriate application of the classical truss model to the circular section, which is different in shear-resisting component from the rectangular section. The present study introduces a new model considering the starting point of the diagonal crack, the number of transverse reinforcing bars crossing the crack and the effective strength component of the transverse resistance. This model leads to a simple design equation which is derived using the linear regression method and is in agreement with the lower bound of exact strength curve.

열음향 해석 모델을 통한 가스터빈 연소기에서의 선형 안정성 분석 (Linear Stability Analysis in a Gas Turbine Combustor Using Thermoacoustic Models)

  • In this study, thermoacoustic analysis model was developed in order to predict both eigenfrequencies and initial growth rate of combustion instabilities for lean premixed gas turbine combustors. As a first step, a model combustor and nozzle were selected and analytical linear equations for thermoacoustic waves were derived for a given combustion system. Then, methods showing how the equations can be used for analysis of the combustion instability were suggested. It was found that the prediction results showed a good agreement with the measurements. However, there were some limitation in growth rate predictions, which were related with over-simplification of flame structure, acoustic boundary conditions, and temperature distribution in the combustor.

케이블 화재의 화염전파 해석을 위한 FDS 모델의 격자민감도 평가 (Assessment of Grid Sensitivity in the FDS Field Model to Simulate the Flame Propagation of an Electric Cable Fire)

  • The present study has been conducted to examine the effect of grid resolution on the predicted results for electric cable fire using pyrolysis model in FDS(Fire Dynamics Simulator, version 5). The grid independent test for different grid resolutions has been performed for a PE coating cable and the grid resolution is defined by the non-dimensional characteristic length of fire and mean grid size. The calculated maximum heat release rate and mean flame spread rate were almost constant for higher grid resolution of 20${\sim}$25 and the computing time for the grid resolution takes approximately 20hours to solve flame propagation with pyrolysis model. The geometrical simplification of a electric cable dose not greatly affect on the maximum heat release rate and flame spread rate and the rectangular approximation of cable shape gives acceptable result comparing with the round cable with stepwise grid.

  • 본 논문은 3차원 기하 모델에서 돌출된 특징 영역을 유지하며 단순화하기 위한 방법에 관한 것으로서 3차원 레인지 스캐닝 시스템으로 부터 삼각형 기하 데이터를 입력받아 기하 데이터의 각 점들에 대해 근사화 표면을 생성하고, 생성된 표면에서의 점들에 대한 곡률과 곡률 미분 값을 측정한 후, 기하 데이터의 에지에 대해 제로-클로싱을 측정하여 특정점을 찾아낸다. 특정점을 주 곡률 방향으로 연결하여 특정 선을 생성하고, 거리기반오차에 특정에지오차를 조합한 FQEM(Feature Quadric Error Metric)을 이용하여 단순화를 수행하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 제안방법의 우수성을 기존 방법과의 실험결과의 비교를 통하여 보여 준다.

  • A new method is presented for obtaining redced-order model for time-invariant systems. This method does not require the calculation of the reciprocal transformation, the alpha table, the beta-table and the alpha-beta expansion which should be calculated in Routh approximation method, hence it is computationally very attractive better than Routh approximation method, furthemore the stability of the reduced-order model is guaranted if the original system is stable. This method starts with the continued fraction espansion of auxiliary denominator polynomial give for the denominator polynomial of the reduced-order model. The coefficients of the numerator polynomial are then obtained by equating moment of the original and the reduced-order medel.
