  • Most control systems of power plants are using classical PID controllers for their process control. In order to get the desired control performances, the correct tuning of PID controllers is very important. Sometimes, it is necessary to retune PID controllers after the change of system operating condition and system design change, etc. Commercial auto-tuning controllers such as relay feedback controller can be used for this purpose. However, using these controllers to the safety-critical systems of nuclear power plants may be cause of unsafe operation, because they are using test signals for tuning. A new system identification auto-tuning method without using test signal has been developed in this paper. This method uses process input/output signals for system identification of unknown control process. From the model information of control process which was obtained from system identification approach, the optimal PID parameters can be calculated. The method can be used in the safety-critical systems because it is not using test signals during system modeling process.

  • The new tuning rules of the PID controller for the rejection of load disturbance are proposed incorporating with real-coded genetic algorithms (RCGAs). The optimal gain parameters of the PID controller for a first-order plus time delay model are obtained based on a RCGA. Then tuning formula are derived using the tuned parameters sets potential tuning rule models and another RCGA. The performance criteria of the controller are adopted as ISE, IAE and ITAE. A series of simulation are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed tuning rules.

  • 최근 몇 년 동안, Large Language Model(LLM)의 발전은 인공 지능 연구 분야에서 주요 도약을 이끌어 왔다. 이러한 모델들은 복잡한 자연어처리 작업에서 뛰어난 성능을 보이고 있다. 특히 Human Alignment를 위해 Supervised Fine Tuning, Reinforcement Learning, Chain-of-Hindsight 등을 적용한 언어모델이 관심 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 위에 언급한 3가지 지시학습 방법인 Supervised Fine Tuning, Reinforcement Learning, Chain-of-Hindsight 를 Llama, OPT 모델에 적용하여 성능을 측정 및 비교한다.

연소실에서 1/4파장 공명기의 주파수 동조에 대한 수치적 연구 (A Numerical Study on Acoustic Tuning of Quarter-Wave Resonators in a Model Combustion Chamber)

  • 로켓엔진 연소기의 연소 불안정 억제를 위해 연소 상황에서의 1/4파장 공명기의 주파수 동조를 수치적으로 연구하였다. 상온 음향 시험을 통해 도출된 최적 감쇠 조건을 충족시키는 사양의 1/4파장 공명기를 채택하였다. 먼저, 실규모 연소실의 조건을 모사한 모형 연소실에서의 연소장을 수치해석하여 기본 음향파 응답 특성을 분석하였다. 다음으로, 이 연소실에 음향 공명기를 장착하여 공명기 내부 물성치를 예측하였다. 이러한 기본 데이터를 토대로 특정 음향 모드를 감쇠시킬 수 있는 주파수 동조 방안을 연구하였다. 각 공명기 내부의 물성치를 토대로 공명기를 개별 공명기의 최적 동조 길이로 설계할 경우에 충분한 감쇠 성능을 얻을 수 있었다. 설계의 편의를 위해 모든 공명기를 동일길이로 설정한 경우, 길이에 따른 감쇠성능을 비교하여 제시하였다. 이를 토대로 최적의 동조길이를 찾을 수 있었다.

  • The PID controller has been widely used in industrial applications due to its simple structure and robustness. Even if it is initially well tuned, the PID controller must be retuned to maintain acceptable performance when there are system parameter changes due to the change of operation conditions. In this paper, a self-tuning control scheme which comprises a parameter estimator, a NN-based rule emulator and a PID controller is proposed, which can cope with changing environments. This method involves combining neural networks and real-coded genetic algorithms(RCGAs) with conventional approaches to provide a stable and satisfactory response. A RCGA-based parameter estimation method is first described to obtain the first-order with time delay model from over-damped high-order systems. Then, a set of optimum PID parameters are calculated based on the estimated model such that they cover the entire spectrum of system operations and an optimum tuning rule is trained with a BP-based neural network. A set of simulation works on systems with time delay are carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • This paper is a study on robust PID controller tuning technique using the frequency region model matching method.To design the robust PID controller satisfying disturbance attenuation and robust tracking property for a reference input first an {{{{ETA _$\infty$}}}} controller satisfying given performances is designed using an H$_{\infty}$ control method, And then the parameters(proportional gain integral gain and derivation gain) of the robust PID controller with the performances of the desinged H$_{\infty}$ controller are determined using the model matching method at frequency domain. in this paper this PID controller tuning technique is applied to PID speed controller design for BLDC motors. Consequently simulation results show that the proposed PID speed controller satisfies load torque disturbance attenuation and robust tracking property and this study has usefulness and applicability for the speed control system; design of BLDC motors.

  • An analysis model is proposed for the performance prediction of typical ball and tube type mechanical crash sensors based upon mass-spring-viscous gas damping idealization. Also a construction of mechanical crash pulse generator is suggested as an experimental tool for calibration and verification of model predictions. A sensor tuning procedure for a particular set of crash pulses is suggested based upon the analysis model and the experimental tools.

  • AVR parameter tuning for voltage control of power system generators has generally been done with the open-circuit model of the synchronous generator. When the generator is connected on-line and operating at rated load conditions, the AVR operates in an entirely different environment from the open-circuit conditions. This paper describes a new method for AVR parameter tuning using optimization technique with on-line linearized system model. As this method considers not only the on-line models but also the off-line open-circuit models, AVR parameters tuned by this method can give the sufficiently stable performance at the open-circuit commissioning phase and give the desired performance at the operating conditions. Also this method estimates the optimum parameters for desired performance indices that are chosen for satisfying requirements in some practical applications, the performance of the AVR can satisfy the various requirements.

  • In this paper, model reference adaptive fuzzy controller (MRAFC) was proposed in order to overcome the difficulty of extracting rules and defects of the adaptation performance in the FLC. MRAFC comprised inner feedback loop consisting of the FLC and plant, and outer loop consisting of an adaptation mechanism which is designed for tuning a control rule of the FLC. A reference-model was used for design criteria of a fuzzy controller which characterizes and quantizes the control performance required in the overall control system. Tuning control rules of FLC is performed by the adaptation mechanism. For this, the fuzzy model for tuning the contorl rules is designed in accordance with the feature of error information. And DC servo motor was selected for case study of actual industrial plant and tested on various loads.

  • Database system parameter tuning is one of database system tuning that achieve to improve performance of database system with application program tuning and data model tuning. By parameter tuning adjusts value of entry that is staled in data dictionary's parameter file that is included to database system, it is thing which make relevant database system can display performance of most suitable. And, it is that achievement is one o( possible tuning method immediately without occurrence of additional expense or involved hardware for database system performance elevation and ashes composition of software. But, it is actuality that administration about parameter practical use is not achieved, and is using Default Value of parameter that database management system offers just as it is systematically. So, this paper presents parameter tuning process that can :achieve Parameter tuning of database system that is operating present systematically, and parameter tuning process each activity important input urea and tuning achievement product. And explain about effect and result that happen by sort database system performance and parameters that it is affinity systematically, and grasp relationships between parameter, and change parameter of string database system. And not that parameter uses contents that specify by fixing when establish database administration system, is going to emphasize and explain that must utilize changing continuously during database system operation. It changes parameter entry value how in various kinds different operation environment and present if must apply, and will arrange effect that this parameter enoy value alteration gets in performance liking into account point that is actuality that is using parameter that define database administrators when install the database system just as it is continually without alteration.
