  • Customer satisfaction is an ever-growing concern of management throughout the world. To find the way to increase customer satisfaction, we must understand customer requirements. Kano distinguishes between three types of product requirements (;must-be, one-dimensional, attractive requirement) which influence customer satisfaction in different ways when met. Timko has developed customer satisfaction(CS) coefficient based on Kano model. The CS coefficient is indicative of how strongly a product feature may influence satisfaction. In this paper, potential customer satisfaction improvement(PCSI) index was proposed using Kano model and CS coefficient. The PCSI index represents how much a product feature can increase the degree of customer satisfaction when the product feature is fully fulfilled. In order to explain the meaning of PCSI index, a case study for cellular phones is done. It is also discussed how to use the index strategically.

  • This paper is aims to build the advancement structural model of GICOMS through identification of required system and improvement for implementation of e-Navigation. We derived nine improvement subject for model of advanced GICOMS through the analysis of problems for GICOMS and brainstorming with expert in the maritime safety. And we analyzed the structure of nine improvement subject using by FSM(Fuzzy Structural Modeling) method, and proposed a structural model that to grasp the correlation between elements. As a result, we found out that "advancement of GICOMS" is the final goal, and "improvement a system of information production", "improvement a scheme of information providing", "linkage between GICOMS and VTS" and "building global networks for safety cooperation" are located lowest level. Especially, "advancement of GICOMS" is influenced by "advancement function of VMS" and "Activation of usage" on middle level. We suggested that utilizing state-of-the-art IT facilities, equipment and expertise to improve and enhance the user-centered transition such as maritime workers for advancement of GICOMS based on proposed structure model.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an optimal, long-term planning model for improvement of water distribution networks. The water distribution system is divided into sub-zones and the decision of improvement plan is made for each sub-zone. Costs for replacement, rehabilitation and repair, benefits including reduced pumping and leakage costs, and hydraulic reliability are considered to make optimal decision for improvement planning of water network. Harmony search algorithm is applied to optimize the system and hydraulic analysis model EPANET is interfaced with the optimal decision model to check the hydraulic reliability, The developed model is applied to actual water distribution system in Daegu-city, South Korea. The new model which use durability, conveyance and cost as a decision variable is different from existing methods which use only burying period and pipe type and can be used as optimal decision making system for water distribution network.

  • This study aims to simulate the stabilization process of fibrous peat samples using end-bearing Cement Deep Mixing (CDM) columns by three area improvement ratios of 13.1% (TS-2), 19.6% (TS-3) and 26.2% (TS-3). It also focuses on the determination of approximate stress distribution between CDM columns and untreated fibrous peat soil. First, fibrous peat samples were mechanically stabilized using CDM columns of different area improvement ratio. Further, the ultimate bearing capacity of a rectangular foundation rested on the stabilized peat was calculated in stress-controlled condition. Then, this process was simulated via a FEM-based model using Plaxis 3-D foundation and the numerical modelling results were compared with experimental findings. In the numerical modelling stage, the behaviour of fibrous peat was simulated based on hardening soil (HS) model and Mohr-Coulomb (MC) model, while embedded pile element was utilized for CDM columns. The results indicated that in case of untreated peat HS model could predict the behaviour of fibrous peat better than MC model. The comparison between experimental and numerical investigations showed that the stress distribution between soil (S) and CDM columns (C) were 81%C-19%S (TS-2), 83%C-17%S (TS-3) and 89%C-11%S (TS-4), respectively. This implies that when the area improvement ratio is increased, the share of the CDM columns from final load was increased. Finally, the calculated bearing capacity factors were compared with results on the account of empirical design methods.

  • Recently, on-device artificial intelligence (AI) solutions using mobile devices and embedded edge devices have emerged in various fields, such as computer vision, to address network traffic burdens, low-energy operations, and security problems. Although vision transformer deep learning models have outperformed conventional convolutional neural network (CNN) models in computer vision, they require more computations and parameters than CNN models. Thus, they are not directly applicable to embedded edge devices with limited hardware resources. Many researchers have proposed various model compression methods or lightweight architectures for vision transformers; however, there are only a few studies evaluating the effects of model compression techniques of vision transformers on performance. Regarding this problem, this paper presents a performance evaluation of vision transformers on embedded platforms. We investigated the behaviors of three vision transformers: DeiT, LeViT, and MobileViT. Each model performance was evaluated by accuracy and inference time on edge devices using the ImageNet dataset. We assessed the effects of the quantization method applied to the models on latency enhancement and accuracy degradation by profiling the proportion of response time occupied by major operations. In addition, we evaluated the performance of each model on GPU and EdgeTPU-based edge devices. In our experimental results, LeViT showed the best performance in CPU-based edge devices, and DeiT-small showed the highest performance improvement in GPU-based edge devices. In addition, only MobileViT models showed performance improvement on EdgeTPU. Summarizing the analysis results through profiling, the degree of performance improvement of each vision transformer model was highly dependent on the proportion of parts that could be optimized in the target edge device. In summary, to apply vision transformers to on-device AI solutions, either proper operation composition and optimizations specific to target edge devices must be considered.

  • After the revision of the Software Promotion Act, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with little experience in e-government projects began to participate in public projects. Accordingly, the government introduced the public Project Management Office (PMO) in July 2013 to reduce the risks and secure the quality of informatization business, and the public PMO is still spreading. However, the public PMO service currently experiences sluggish business, such as low-priced orders, due to cut-throat competition, and thus needs improvement plans. In this research, we establish a research model for quality factors of public PMO services that can be considered for the improvement plans, measure and evaluate quality factors based on the model, and then analyze the impact of service quality on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. For that, we measure quality factors using the SERVPERF model for those who have used public PMO services, establish a structural equation research model, and empirically analyze and evaluate the impact of quality factors. Lastly, we suggest improvement plans and implications for public PMO services.

  • Based on the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) model, this study proposed a research model that explains the continuance intention of users in the with Covid-19 era considering the technical, organizational, and environmental aspects of Remote Work Solution (RWS). To verify the research model and hypothesis, an online survey was conducted on domestic RWS users. Partial least squares (PLS) were utilized to analyze the collected 411 data. As a result of the analysis, it was found that functionality and security level had positive impacts on both productivity improvement and satisfaction. However, it was also confirmed that organizational readiness had a positive effect on productivity improvement but did not affect satisfaction. Furthermore, the results revealed that government support had a positive relationship with continuance intention, but the health concerns did not. Finally, the correlations between productivity improvement, satisfaction, and continuous intention were confirmed to be significant. Therefore, 9 out of a total of 11 hypotheses were supported.

  • Two important issues in hedonic model are to specify accurate model and delineate submarkets. While the former has experienced much improvement over recent decades, the latter has received relatively little attention. However, the accuracy of estimates from hedonic model will be necessarily reduced when the analysis does not adequately address market segmentation which can capture the spatial scale of price formation process in real estate. Placing emphasis on improvement of performance in hedonic model, this paper tried to segment real estate markets in Gangnam-gu and Jungrang-gu, which correspond to most heterogeneous and homogeneous ones respectively in 25 autonomous districts of Seoul. First, we calculated variable coefficients from mixed geographically weighted regression model (mixed GWR model) as input for clustering, since the coefficient from hedonic model can be interpreted as shadow price of attributes constituting real estate. After that, we developed a spatially constrained data-driven methodology to preserve spatial contiguity by utilizing the SKATER algorithm based on a minimum spanning tree. Finally, the performance of this method was verified by applying a multi-level model. We concluded that submarket does not exist in Jungrang-gu and five submarkets centered on arterial roads would be reasonable in Gangnam-gu. Urban infrastructure such as arterial roads has not been considered an important factor for delineating submarkets until now, but it was found empirically that they play a key role in market segmentation.
