  • New technology had been introduced continually and in many cases, we approached technology persepectives when the new technology were introduced. It was very important that researching users acceptance of the new technology in the areas of marketing and strategy. Regarding to user accepatance of new technology, many research models had been exited. This study compared with 2 models which were proposed by Venkatesh et al. named UTAUT1, UTAUT2 based on the criteria which composed of application context, variables of model, the impacts of variables. The dominant matric which was applied in all functions and industries was not exited. For the purpose of improving predictability, single or compound matrics were useful according to industries and usage

  • Cost overrun or schedule delay of the software development project happens frequently despite that software developers continue to make every effort for the effective management of the projects. Previous researches have ascertained that these problems are ascribed to the uncertainty of projects and the improper management of the projects. The purposes of this research are to investigate the impacts of user participation and task interdependence on the performance of the projects and also to find out the appropriate project management method to improve the project performance. Even though the model fitness of the path model is proved to be very high, the verification of the hypotheses showed a variety of results including the four verifications and the one refutation of the hypotheses as well as the suggestion of one alternative hypothesis. The contribution of this research is that the integration model is proposed and verified, comprising the relationship among the user participation, the task interdependence, and the performance of software development projects. A project manager can utilize the implication of this research for an effective management of software development project.

The Effect of Organizational Information Security Environment on the Compliance Intention of Employee (조직의 정보보안 환경이 조직구성원의 보안 준수의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose Organizations invest significant portions of their budgets in fortifying information security. Nevertheless, the security threats by employees are still at large. We discuss methods to reduce security threats that are posed by employees in organization. This study finds antecedent factors that increases or decreases employee's compliance intention. Also, the study suggests organizations' security environmental factors which influences the antecedent factors of compliance intention. Design/methodology/approach The structural equation model is then applied in order to verify this research model and hypothesis. Data were collected on 415 employees working in organizations with an implemented information security policy in South Korea. We analyzed the fitness and validity of the research model via confirmatory factor analysis in order to verify the research hypothesis, then we analyzed structural model, and derived the result. Findings The result shows that organizational commitment and peer behavior increase security compliance intention of employees, while security system anxiety decreases compliance intention. And, organization's physical security system and security communication both have influence on antecedent factors for information security compliance of employees. Our findings help organizations to establish information security strategies that enhance employee security compliance intention.

Effects of Culinary Staff's Technology Kitchen System upon Perceived Ease of Use, Usefulness, Attitude, and Job Performance in the Foodservice Industry (외식업체 조리사들의 테크놀로지 주방시스템이 지각된 용이성.유용성과 태도 및 직무성과에 미치는 영향연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand effects of culinary staff's technology kitchen system upon perceived ease of use, usefulness, attitude, and job performance in the foodservice industry. Based on a total of 387 samples obtained from empirical research, this study reviewed the reliability and fitness of the research model and verified a total of four hypotheses using the Amos program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously using a structural equation model (SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data, ${\chi}^2$=226.501 (df=85), p<.001, CMIN/df 2.665, RMR .066, GFI .927, NFI .926, IFI .952, TLI .941, CFI .952. The results show that culinary staff's perceived ease of use(${\beta}$=.534) had a significant positive effect on perceived usefulness. Also, perceived ease of use (${\beta}$=.350) and perceived usefulness (${\beta}$=.297) had a positive significant effect on attitude. Further, attitude (${\beta}$=1.647) had a significant positive effect on job performance. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

A Path Analysis among the Internal Marketing Activities, Motivation, and Nursing Organizational Effectiveness (내부마케팅과 동기부여, 간호조직유효성간의 경로모형구축)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to analysis path model of the research variables. Methods: The subjects of this study were 647 nurses who were working in the 8 general hospitals located in Seoul and Incheon area. The data were collected by self-reporting questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and path analysis. Results: In the modified path model, overall fitness indexes were $X^2$= 223.27, goodness of fit index=0.90, root mean square residual=0.039, root mean square error of approximation=0.12, non-normed fit index=0.96, and normed fit index=0.90. From the model, among research variables that influence organizational effectiveness motivator, job satisfaction and organizational identification affected directly work performance. In internal marketing factors, paid-leave, communication and reward affected directly motivator. Motivator and hygiene factors affected directly job satisfaction, organizational commitment and organizational identification. Conclusion: With these findings, paid-leave, communication, reward, motivator, job satisfaction and organizational identification were direct or indirect predictors of the work performance. Therefore nursing managers ought to develop internal marketing strategies and motivation enhancing system for nurses based on this path model in order to improve the nursing organizational effectiveness.

Structural Relationships among TQM Activities, Compensation Equity, and Performance in Hospitals (의료기관 TQM 활동, 보상 공정성과 성과간의 구조적 관계)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among TQM activities, compensation equity, and performance in hospitals. This study was designed to construct a structural equation model of TQM activities, compensation equity, and performance. Method: The subjects were 239 personnels working in four hospitals in Daegu and Gyeongpook. Data were collected using structured questionnaire from October 4, 2007 to February 4, 2008. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0 program. Result: The overall fitness of the structural equation model was evaluated. These results showed that the model was adequate. TQM activities directly influenced organizational performance and indirectly influenced organizational performance through compensation equity. Conclusion: In testing the structural equation model, the findings showed that TQM activities and compensation equity were important factors for improving organizational performance. Therefore, to improve performance, the hospital leaders must establish the strategies to facilitate TQM activities. It is also necessary to establish effective reward and performance appraisal systems to induce positive participation of personnels in hospitals.

Structual Equation Modeling on Adjustment of Cancer Patients Receiving Chemotherapy (항암 화학요법을 받는 암 환자의 적응 구조모형)

  • Purpose: This study was to understand and explain the adjustment of cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Variables in this model were social support, uncertainty, resilience and coping. Methods: The data were collected for approximately five months from May through to September 2006 with cancer patients receiving chemotherapy or cancer patients finished chemotherapy using self-administered questionnaires. Descriptive statistics program, Amos 5.0, was employed to verify the goodness of the hypothetic model and the hypotheses formulated in the study. Results: The fitness of the finalized model turned out to be improved ($X^2$=332.644, df=70, GFI= .809, AGFI= .714, RMSEA= .138, AIC=402.644). Those variables made a 60.8% prediction of the patients adjustment. Conclusion: The hypothetic model presented in the study could serve to explain the adjustment of cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. Moreover, the use of the conceptual framework of the theory of planned nursing intervention would be very worthwhile as a strategy to boost the adjustment of cancer patients when receiving chemotherapy.

The Effects of Verbal and Nonverbal Communication of Service Providers in the Family Restaurant on the Customers' Trust and Satisfaction (패밀리레스토랑 서비스 제공자의 언어적, 비언어적 커뮤니케이션이 고객 신뢰 및 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the interrelationships between the customers' perception of verbal and nonverbal communication, customers' trust and satisfaction in the family restaurant. Based on a total of 310 samples that were obtained from empirical research, this study reviewed the reliability and fitness of the research model and verified a total of 2 hypotheses using the Amos program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously using a structural equation model(SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data, $X^2$=953.126(df=417), p<.001, CMIN/df 2.286, GFI .831, NFI .889, IFI .934, TLI .926, CFI .934. The results showed that employees' verbal communication ($\beta$=.264), paralanguage ($\beta$=.172) and physical appearance ($\beta$=.120) among the nonverbal communications had a significant positive effect on the customers' trust. In addition, the customers' trust ($\beta$=.644) had a significant positive effect on the customer satisfaction. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

  • This study attempts to 1) identify the dimensions of perceived value in the restaurant industry and 2) assess the effects of these dimensions on overall customer satisfaction and behavioral intent. With a total of 272 samples obtained from empirical research, this study reviews the reliability and fitness of the research model, and verifies a total of 4 hypotheses using the Amos program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously using a structural equation model(SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data:${\chi}^2$ 140.087(df 80), CMIN/df 1.751, RMR .060, GFI .937, AGFI .906, NFI .962, CFI .983, RMSEA .053. As a result of confirmatorical analysis, the quality value, emotional value and economical value were quantified as perceived value in fastfood restaurants. These factors were indicated to have influence on customer satisfaction and re-visit intention. Limitations and future research were also discussed.

Construction of a Physical Activity Model for the Elderly

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study was to test a model of physical activity of elderly living in Korea, determine significant factors contributing the physical activity, and examine significant paths in the model. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted using a convenience sample of 207 elderly men and women, aged 60 and older, residing in Busan Metropolitan City. Data were collected from July to August 2009 and analyzed using Predictive Analytics Software (PASW) and Analysis of a Moment Structures (AMOS). Results: The fitness of the modified model was confirmed to be appropriate (${\chi}^2$ = 55.61, ${\chi}^2$/df = 1.32, p = .078, RMSEA = .04, GFI = .96, AGFI = .91, NFI = .90, NNFI = .94, CFI = .97, PNFI = .48). The elder's age, previous exercise behavior, and self-efficacy were significant in explaining the variance in their physical activity. We found that (a) perceived health status, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, and social support directly affected self-efficacy; (b) previous exercise behavior and perceived health status directly affected perceived benefits; (c) previous exercise behavior directly affected perceived barriers; and (d) and education level, extent of pocket money, and economic level directly affected social support. Conclusions: The younger the age, the more previous exercise experience, and the higher the self-efficacy, the more S. Korean elders demonstrated improved physical activity.
