A Study on the Mock up Test for Reduction of HCHO Using the Functional Gypsum Board (기능성 석고보드의 폼알데히드(HCHO) 저감성능 평가를 위한 실물시험(Mock up test)연구)

  • The purpose of this study was developing the building materials for creation the comfortable IAQ. By reducing formaldehyde(HCHO) known as the main factors of Sick House Syndrome. This material must be revealed the physical and eco-friendly performance, so this study set up the basic standards for building materials. The source of physical performance evaluation is Korea Industrial Standards and the base of environmental ability is the Eco Label considering certificated system related to an apartment house. Because the developed material was satisfied with the established standards, it was tested in mock-up room for obtaining the real date from indoor air. The mock-up test was conducted according environmental standard method for indoor air Quality of the ministry of environment. The result of this study were as follows; the functional building materials had a effect to reduce the formaldehyde concentration for a initial period without wall paper, so additional development is needed for application with the wall paper and the available period.

  • Available daylight in inside offers comfortable view environment, and psychological and physical advantages to people in a room. Architectural design has a need for daylight prediction. But it is difficult to predict the illuminance values in daylight system. Using various Daylight simulation software is easy and simple, but we can find different results under the same conditions. This study compares with illuminance values from simulation (Lightscape 3.2, Relux 2007, Radiance 3.9) and Mock-up experiment with a same space and parameter of daylight (location of space and window, date, time and sky condition).

An Experimental Study on the High Early Strength Development Properties of Concrete according to Batcher Plant Test and Mock-up Test (배쳐플랜트배합시험 및 실대부재시험을 통한 콘크리트의 조기강도 발현특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, batcher plant composition test and mock-up test were carried out to conduct comparison and analysis on flow behavior and strength properties of concrete at early age. As a result, it was found that slump and amount of air in batcher plant composition test reached the target range. As for compressive strength, composition using HESPC showed the most excellent strength development. In mock-up test which was carried out to find out the strength properties, two methods with specimen and core test body both revealed HESPC as the most excellent composition. However, strength estimation with ultrasonic survey presented less reliable data. As a result of the previously conducted indoor composition test and the mock-up test in this study, target performance of concrete at early age was 4day/cycle. It was found that the optimum conditions that meet the required strength, 5MPa/18hr and 14MPa/36hr in mullion and transom are; curing temperature above 15℃, W/B 45%, unit-water 165kg/㎥ and CHC cement.

  • The green building is one of biggest factors to go the goal of energy saving and environmental conservation, reduction of energy consumption, friendly energy technology, recycling of resource, and environmental pollution reduction technology. The purpose of these green buildings realized by the energy-saving technology such as the exterior materials or curtain wall system. The curtain wall system is a element that come to insulated portions of building envelope that results in heat loss. The purpose of this paper is to carried out mock-up tests for exterior wall used in autoclaved lightweight concrete panels in green building practices. Mock-up test execute a mixed process between standard test procedure and complex test procedure based on AAMA 501(American Society for Testing and Materials) and ASTM 283, ASTM 330(American Society for Testing and Materials). In results, tests meet the requirements that grant values in steps of procedures provided on ASTM and AAMA. ALC panel is suitable for a exterior wall product to be gratified thermal cycling performance and structural capacity, deflection(H/200) and lateral displacement(H/50), for curtain walls.

  • This study is analyze the damage of warehouse fire accident be made through the fire characteristic database of combustibles and real scale fire test of warehouse mock-up. Combustibles fire tests are carried out for database using RCT (Room Corner Tester) to predict fire growth the goods. A mockup ($3m{\times}3m{\times}2.4m$) of clothes warehouse was built and real scale fire test by LSC (Large Scale Calorimeter) base on the fire characteristic DB. The mock-up of clothes warehouse is made of two type sandwich panels (Glass wool, EPS foam sandwich panel). As a mock-up test result, test 1 (Glass wool sandwich panel) and test 2 (EPS foam sandwich panel) indicating fire growth such as 5 MW, 11 MW of maximum HRR (Heat Release Rate).

  • The criticality analysis of VVER-1000 mock-up benchmark experiments from the LR-0 research reactor operated by the Research Center Rez in the Czech Republic has been conducted with the MCS Monte Carlo code developed at the Computational Reactor Physics and Experiment laboratory of the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology. The main purpose of this work is to evaluate the newest ENDF/B-VIII.0 nuclear data library against the VVER-1000 mock-up integral experiments and to validate the criticality analysis capability of MCS for light water reactors with hexagonal fuel lattices. A preliminary code/code comparison between MCS and MCNP6 is first conducted to verify the suitability of MCS for the benchmark interpretation, then the validation against experimental data is performed with both ENDF/B-VII.1 and ENDF/B-VIII.0 libraries. The investigated experimental data comprises six experimental critical configurations and four experimental pin-by-pin power maps. The MCS and MCNP6 inputs used for the criticality analysis of the VVER-1000 mock-up are available as supplementary material of this article.

  • We are developing the technology for applying the Rebar Modularization Method to the Nuclear Power Plant Structures. To achieve this, we had developed the elementary technology for applying this method to Nuclear Power Plant Structures efficiently and performed the Mock-Up Test by using the developed elementary technology. By analysing this test result, we deduced the problems and found solutions to solve them.

  • The ultimate objective of this research is to develop the technologies for the construction of 100-year housing as the first task for improving housing environments. The technological development of 100-year housing makes it possible to advance construction technologies and part development, to develop long-life housing with durability and Flexibility responding to customers' needs for future living space. At first, for this purpose, the applications according to the types of the Standard Model of Long-life Housing are proposed to respond to the life-cycle of near-future demographic and social structure, and the construction of the Mock-up House execute based on the location selected during the 2nd year and the basic plan. Then the Standard Model of Long-life Housing are advanced and proposed through evaluating the field applicability of the Mock-Up House.

Comparison of Panel STLs for Ships Measured in Laboratory and Mock-up (선박용 판넬의 음향투과손실(STL)의 실험실법 측정과 Mock-up 측정값의 비교)

  • In this paper, FSTL(field sound transmission loss) measured in the mock-up is studied and compared to the STL measured in laboratory. A mock-up is built by using 6t steel plate, and two identical cabins are made where 25t or 50t panel is used to construct wall and ceiling inside the steel structure. Various wall panels and ceilings are tested, where the effects of U/T, sealing, panel thickness, ceilings are studied. It is shown that the effect of ceiling thickness is negligible and FSTL is lower than STL by 5-7 dB due to several flanking paths.

  • Unit cabin means room, which is installed in the high value ship such as drill ship and FPSO, after pre-assembled. In order to develop the noise control design for a unit cabin, a variety of acoustic tests such as sound absorption, transmission, and radiated noise measurements were carried out by using the mock-up of living quarter. From the tests, it was found out that the combined noise level of a unit cabin could be dominated by the radiated noise from wall panel in low frequency range and the design guidelines for the noise control of unit cabin were fully established, such as the improvement of sound transmission loss between the cabin and corridor, and radiated cabin noise reduction.
