전파(propagation) 오류가 빈번한 무선 이동 네트워크에서는 전송 성능을 향상하기 위해 FEC(Forward Error Correction)알고리즘을 채택한다. 그러나 정적인 FEC방식은 연속적으로 변화하는 전파 오류율에 알맞은 정정 코드(check code)를 적용하지 못해 성능이 저하된다. 본 논문에서는 변화하는 무선 채널의 전파 오류율에 따라 FEC의 정정도를 알맞게 결정하는 링크 계층용 적응적 FEC기법인 FECA(FEC-level Adaptation)를 제안한다. FECA는 오류율이 높고, 오류율이 천천히 변화하는 무선 환경에 알맞은 알고리즘이다. 일례로 전파 간섭이 있는 환경에서 센서(sensor) 네트워크는 평균 오류율이 $10^{-6}$이상이며 오류율이 평균 수백 밀리초 이상 지속되는 것으로 관찰되었다. FECA는 분석적인 무선채널 시뮬레이션과 패킷 트레이스 기반(trace-driven) 시뮬레이션에서 정적 FEC 알고리즘에 비해 최대 15%이상 성능을 향상하였다.

본 논문에서는 셀룰러 기반 무선 인지망에서 스펙트럼 인지(CR)기술을 이용하여 모바일 사용자의 핸드오버 호의 손실확률을 줄이는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법에서는 모바일이 방문할 셀을 Ziv-Lempel 알고리듬을 이용하여 예측하고, 방문할 셀에 할당된 채널이 부족할 때는 CR기술에 기초한 스펙트럼 홀 자원을 예측하여 모바일 사용자를 지원한다. 스펙트럼 홀 자원의 크기는 신경망기법으로 예측하며, 예측된 스펙트럼 홀 자원은 핸드오버 호가 초기 발생 호 보다 우선하여 사용할 수 있게 한다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 셀룰러 이동 통신망에 CR기술을 사용함으로써 모바일 사용자의 핸드오버 호 손실확률을 줄일 수 있음을 보인다.

무선 이동 통신망에서 위치관리에 대한 성능분석을 위해서 사용자의 이동 패턴의 모의실험 방안에 대한 연구가 요구되고 있다. 이러한 목적에 따라 본 논문은 무선 이동 망에서의 이동패턴을 갖는 사용자의 이동성 모델을 제안한다. 이동 사용자들은 임의적으로 움직이기도 하지만 특정 시간대에 규칙적인 이동을 반복하는 특성도 함께 가지고 있다. 따라서 제안된 모델은 사용자의 시간에 연관된 이동을 묘사하도록 구성하였다. 이 모델은 지점 이동, 타임 슬롯에 대한 이동확률, 이동에 대한 지형적 경로 등으로 구성된다. 또한 임의적인 이동과 규칙적인 이동 특성이 혼합된 경우에 대한 모의실험 방안도 함께 제안된다. 모의실험 결과는 의도했던 이동패턴을 갖는 이동 시나리오를 생성할 수 있음을 보여준다.

Traditionally, simulation method is used to test and evaluate the performance of communication protocol or functional elements for mobile communication service. In this paper, wireless network simulator is implemented using the C++ object-oriented programming language. This simulator can simulate wireless data services, like as ad-hoc networks, by considering the user's mobility. In this paper, the simulator includes network traffic model to reflect wireless data service and traffic source model to represent a user's mobility similar to real service environment and traffic characteristics can be reflected on the simulation, and also more accurate simulation results can be got through that. In addition, by using object-oriented techniques, new service feature or environment can be easily added or changed so that the developed mobile communication simulator can reflect the real service environment all the time. This simulator can be used in adjusting the characteristics of wireless data hosts following the mobility of the user, and also can be used in building new wireless ad-hoc network routing protocols.

Sensor networks will play an important role in the next generation pervasive computing. But its characteristic of wireless communication brings a peat challenge to the security measures used in the communication protocols. These measures are different from conventional security methods. In this paper, we proposed a security architecture for self-organizing mobile wireless sensor networks. It can prevent most of attacks based on intrusion detection.

Advances in mobile and wireless networking technologies have enabled mobile ad hoc networks applicable to a wide range of areas. Many cases of even such ad hoc networks demand to be accessible to the global network. Owing to be diversified in features depending on applications, however, some those networks may consist of devices or nodes which do not facilitate all the same transport protocols. This results in unreachable situations of establishing ad hoc network: such as non-existence of all required access points, faults or contention in a path of particular protocol communication. Interworking between different transport protocols can alleviate such problems. This paper proposes an interworking scheme to improve data transport performance and network accessibility, especially in such a mobile ad hoc network that is applicable to data communications among ships or user's convenient u-health services. Modeling and simulation analysis are used to verify the improvement.

본 논문에서는 ALICE(Architecture for Location Independent CORBA Environment) 구조에 기반한 Mobile CORBA 환경에서 이동 게이트웨이(MG)간의 핸드오프에 따른 문제점을 해결하기 위한 경로 최적화 핸드오프를 제안한다. 이동 호스트가 빠르게 움직이고, 처리시간이 긴 작업의 경우에 핸드오프로 인한 MG간의 긴 터널링 체인이 발생할 수 있고, 이로 인해 메시지들이 불필요한 몇 단계의 라우팅과 재전송 과정을 거치게 된다. 이렇게 비효율적인 경로를 통해서 메시지 전송이 이루어지는 것은 여러가지 제약조건을 가지는 무선망의 환경에서는 커다란 장애요소가 될 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 새로운 핸드오프 알고리즘은 핸드오프시 관련된 MG들이 이동성에 관한 정보를 메시지(binding update message) 형태로 받아서 캐쉬로 관리하도록 한다. 그 결과 핸드오프 이후의 관련 MG는 캐쉬를 이용하여 이동 호스트와 최적의 경로로 통신이 가능하다.

We discuss the problem of resource reservation, such as bandwidth, for delay sensitive application in wireless networking environment. As multimedia application is becoming a critical role of the current mobile network, the resource reservation become very important to support the real-time service. In this paper, we propose and evaluate a new resource reservation protocol, called Split Reservation Protocol, in wireless network. The simulation results show that our proposed protocol outperforms an existing protocol called MPSVP in terms of network overhead.

Mobile banking is a subset of electronic banking which underlies not only the determinants of the banking business but also the special conditions of mobile commerce. Nowadays wireless networks are being evolved and diversified. In this situation The wireless e-commerce is in the limelight on new profits of Carriers. Especially from current year when Carriers in domestic plans to provide the services using 2.5G networks the service providers choose wireless e-commerce as the main parts of wireless internet strategy and will provide a various of services. Because of this situation, the importance of mobile billing service is being emphasized. This paper searches the definition and service types of mobile banking, and suggests status and prospects of domestic mobile banking. We suggest the basic direction, the stage of development and functions of services by analyzing the cases of Nonghyup's. Finally we derive the critical factors from those and suggest the effect of introduction and the direction of development. From the customer perspective, mobile banking has many strengths. For example, it allows that all customers access banking service at anytime, anywhere more easily than telephone banking or pc banking. And it reduces the time and the effort for using the service. It enables the company to make a business against global customers. On the other hand, from the company perspective, it has a lot of potential that affect market share and reduce the costs of human and material resources which used to operate and support branches. However, it needs many efforts to reach at the stage of completion. And We will have to solve the problems that develop many contents, expend the range of services and raise the service convenience.
