  • Mobile mapping system is a surveying system that use vehicle carrying various sensors as CCD camera, GPS and IMU(Inertial measurement Unit). This system capturing images of forward direction continuously while running road. Use these images, then acquire road and road facilities information as facilities position, size or maintenance condition. In this study, we organized data and each data processing steps that are needed for 3 dimensional positioning. And develop digital photogrammetry S/W easy to use and accurate for mobile mapping system.

  • A 3D depth measurement system is proposed for mobile vehicles. Depth measurement system which is composed of a rotating mirror, a line laser and mono-camera is employed to detect depth, where the laser light is reflected by the mirror and projected to- the scene objects whose locations are to be determined. The obtained depth information is converted into an image. Such depth images of the road region represent even and plane while that of off-road region is irregular or textured. Road region is detected employing a simple spatial differentiation technique to detect the plain textured area. Identification results of the diverse situation of Non-linear trail are included in this paper.

  • Rockfall and landslide bring about a great social loss with loss of property such as obstruction of traffic and damage of the crops as well as casualty. The purpose of this study is to develop a mobile equipment for local risk factors detecting of road slope. The mobile equipment is designed to receive the sensing data from the measurement sensors, which are installed to detect the dangerous signs from the slopes, as loaded on a vehicle which is moving around to the places where the sensors are installed. In general, more than one mandatory data logger, which is very expensive, must be installed at each slope for the automatic measuring system, but in case of this developmental system, the inexpensive routine measurement can be performed regardless of the number of slopes due to the single unit of information gathering vehicle. This study is going to develop technologies that are expected to be applied to not only slope but also tunnel and bridges which might have the partial risk and need measuring.

  • The ultrasonic sensor used in autonomous mobile robot and autonomous guided vehicle(A.G.V.) is not available for long range measurement. And as the performance of autonomous mobile robot and A.G.V. improves, the importance of the range sensor for long range measurement is increasing. In this paper, we introduce the range sensor for long range measurement using milimeter wave sensor and propose the structure of that system.

이동릴레이의 추정기반 스캐닝 방안 (An Estimation-Based Scanning Method of Mobile Relay)

  • Moving network는 고속의 이동체에 설치된 이동릴레이를 통하여 사용자 단말에게 통신서비스를 제공하는 사용 모델이다. 이동릴레이는 핸드오버 과정에서 타겟 기지국을 선택하기 위하여 주기적으로 인접기지국의 신호세기를 측정하며 이동릴레이에 연결된 사용자 단말은 이동릴레이가 측정을 수행하는 동안 서비스의 단절을 경험할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이동릴레이의 측정에 의한 사용자 단말의 서비스 단절을 극복하기 위하여 추정 기반의 스캐닝 방안을 제안한다. 제안하는 방안은 이동 릴레이에 종속된 사용자 단말이 핸드오버를 수행하기 위하여 주기적으로 측정한 인접기지국의 수신신호세기를 이용하여 이동릴레이와 인접기지국간의 수신신호세기를 추정하는 것이다. 성능 분석은 신호세기 추정의 정확도, 채널 정보 교환에 따른 오버헤드에 관하여 수행한다. 성능 분석 결과 추정오차는 추정에 사용된 사용자 단말이 6개 이상일 경우 4dBm이내의 정확도를 보였으며 이동릴레이가 직접 스캐닝을 수행하는 방안과 비교했을 때 전송속도가 8Mbps 이상일 경우 제안하는 방안의 오버헤드가 낮은 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • 리튬이차전지의 수요가 소형 휴대용 전자기기에서 중대형 전기자동차와 에너지저장장치로 변화함에 따라, 요구되는 전지 특성도 크게 달라지고 있다. 10년 이상의 장기 신뢰성, 팩 수준의 안전성, 가격 경쟁력 확보 등 기존 소형 전지보다 크게 강화된 요구 조건뿐만 아니라, 고출력 특성도 함께 필요로 한다. 그런데, 출력을 측정하기 위해서는 전압과 전류가 동시에 측정 및 제어되어야 하기 때문에, 기존의 단위셀 용량 측정보다 훨씬 어렵다. 또한, 측정 방법의 선택뿐만 아니라 출력유지시간, 충전상태(State-of-Charge, SOC), Cut-off 조건, 측정온도 등의 측정 조건에 따라서도 그 측정값이 크게 달라지는 경향이 있다. 본 논문에서는 HPPC (Hybrid Pulse Power Characterization)법, J-pulse(Japan Electric Vehicle Association Standards, JEVS D 713)법, 정출력 측정법(Constant Power Measurement)의 측정 원리 및 실제 실험에 어떻게 적용해야 하는지 설명하고, HEV(Hybrid Electric Vehicle)용 단위셀을 이용해 출력법간 측정 결과를 비교 분석한다.

맹인 안내용 모빌로보트의 설계 (A Design of a Mobile Robot for Blind Guidance)

  • In this paper, a mobile robot is designed for the blind guidance. This system is composed of an Ultrasonic Ranging Vnit, PWM Vnit, Optical Encoder Vnit. Specilly we adapted Distance Comparison Measurement Method (DCMM) in order to compensate for the error resulted from atmospheric conditions, and PWM unit for the vehicle control and Optical encoder unit for the correct locomotion control. This system is processed, using MCS-85 microcomputer, much of information on surrounding conduitions in real time. We rotated ultrasonic sensor for many sifted data acquisition and used tone generator for the Man-Machine Communication. As a result, the measurement error of the distance is about 1cm, the distance measurement could be detected 0.2m to 6m. The locomotion speed is 0.4m/sec and we examined its practical use.

Performance Evaluation of Hazardous Substances using Measurement Vehicle of Field Mode through Emergency Response of Chemical Incidents

  • BACKGROUND: Chemical accidents have increased owing to chemical usage, human error and technical failures during the last decades. Many countries have organized supervisory authorities in charge of enforcing related rules and regulations to prevent chemical accidents. A very important part in chemical accidents has been coping with comprehensive first aid tool. Therefore, the present research has provided information with the initial applications concern to the rapid analysis of hazardous material using instruments in vehicle of field mode after chemical accidents. METHODS AND RESULTS: Mobile measurement vehicle was manufactured to obtain information regarding field assessments of chemical accidents. This vehicle was equipped with four instruments including gas chromatography with mass spectrometry (GC/MS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Ion Chromatography (IC), and UV/Vis spectrometer (UV) to analyses of accident preparedness substances, volatile compounds, and organic gases. Moreover, this work was the first examined the evaluation of applicability for analysis instruments using 20 chemicals in various accident preparedness substances (GC/MS; 6 chemicals, FT-IR; 2 chemicals, IC; 11 chemicals, and UV; 1 chemical) and their calibration curves were obtained with high linearity ( r 2 > 0.991). Our results were observed the advantage of the high chromatographic peak capacity, fast analysis, and good sensitivity as well as resolution. CONCLUSION: When chemical accidents are occurred, the posted measurement vehicle may be utilized as tool an effective for qualitative and quantitative information in the scene of an accident owing to the rapid analysis of hazardous material.

서울시 노원구 도로상 극미세입자 오염도 공간분포 특징 (Characteristics of spatial distribution of ultrafine particle number concentration on the roads of Nowon-gu, Seoul)

  • The spatial distributions of air pollutants, in particular, ultrafine particles near traffic congestion roads at urban areas need to reduce human exposure levels for protecting public health. In this study, the number concentrations of ultrafine particles larger than 5 nm were measured every second during driving on the major roads of Nowon-gu, Seoul for 1.6 h using a mobile emission laboratory on October 5, 2010. The ultrafine particle number concentrations ranged from 7,009 to $265,600particles/cm^3$ with an average of $55,570particles/cm^3$, and these levels were comparable to concentrations of ultrafine particles larger than 3 or 7 nm on the arterial roads at urban areas in Los Angeles, USA and Zurich, Switzerland. It was frequently observed that the ultrafine particle number increased rapidly when vehicle speed was accelerated and it decreased sharply when vehicle speed was decelerated. The high peak events of ultrafine particle concentration larger than $200,000particles/cm^3$ were observed seven times during the measurement period. From the three repeated measurements during the short period of 50 min, it was concluded that the ultrafine particle number concentration on the road was significantly time-dependent. This on-road measurement approach can be utilized to manage vehicle-related air pollution in urban.

  • This paper proposes a new method to measure the ECG signal from the driver. The ECG signal is often measured in the room. But it is mixed with many kinds of noise when we measure it during the vehicle moving. We classified noise occupied most many parts as the experimental among them. And we designed one suitable filter for each noise. It used ALE(Adaptive Line Enhancement) to remove the noise occurred to electromagnetic wave in vehicle. To remove the noise occurred to steering or vibration of vehicle, we used Wavelet transformation after ALE(preprocessing filter).
