모바일 환경에서 오프로딩 기술 기반 인터넷 방송 영상 처리에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Internet Broadcasting Image Processing based on Offloading Technique on the Mobile Environments)

  • 오프로딩(offloading)은 컴퓨팅 자원 및 계산 속도의 한계를 극복하기 위해 로컬 컴퓨터에서 수행하는 어플리케이션의 일부를 컴퓨팅 자원과 처리능력이 우수한 원격지 컴퓨터에 전달하여 처리한 후 결과를 반환받는 방식이다. 최근에는 컴퓨팅 자원과 처리능력에 한계를 갖고 있는 모바일 컴퓨팅 분야에서 처리속도를 높이고 배터리 소모를 줄이기 위해 모바일 게임, 멀티미디어 데이터, 360도 동영상 처리, 인터넷 방송용 이미지 처리 분야에서 응용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 장치에서 촬영된 360도 구면 영상을 사용자가 쉽게 영상 내용을 이해할 수 있도록 다양한 평면 영상을 변환하고 내용을 확인할 수 있는 뷰어를 무선 인터넷 환경에서 오프로딩 기술을 적용하여 구현하고 실제 실험 결과를 제시한다. 360도 구면 영상은 인터페이스를 통해 360도 카메라의 영상 획득 위치에 따라 Double Panorama, Quad, Single Rectabgle, 360 Overview + 3 Rectangle로 평면영상으로 변환이 성공적으로 수행된다. 실험과정에서 100가지 이상의 360도 구면 영상을 아래 인터페이스를 통해 평면 영상으로 변환을 성공적으로 진행하였다.

  • For Autonomous navigation of the mobile robots, the robots' capability to recognize 3D environment is necessary. In this paper, an on-line 3D map building method for autonomous mobile robots is proposed. To get range data on the environment, we use an sensor system which is composed of a structured light and a CCD camera based on optimal triangulation. The structured laser is projected as a horizontal strip on the scene. The sensor system can rotate $\pm$ $30{\Circ}$ with a goniometer. Scanning the system, we get the laser strip image for the environments and update planes composing the environment by some image processing steps. From the laser strip on the captured image, we find a center point of each column, and make line segments through blobbing these center poings. Then, the planes of the environments are updated. These steps are done on-line in scanning phase. With the proposed method, we can efficiently get a 3D map about the structured environment.

  • In this paper, an improved AE system for digital still camera is proposed. AE system is auto exposure system to maintain optimized brightness of output image. But there is limitation for mobile devices to get high quality image with the conventional AE algorithm, because of organizational restriction of system. The conventional research has been studied only electronic shutter and AGC on the AE algorithm. In this paper, we suggest new AE algorithm included target setting, frame delay, Gamma Correction as well as electronic shutter and AGC to get high quality image. The proposed algorithm show improved result at control speed and ability of luminance expression.

  • This paper tries to converge computer and art by applying anamorphosis principle in drawing technique to mobile application. As comparing to current anamorphosis which shows one image at the round cup, we focus on the variability which shows several variable images at the mobile device according to the color board. The usage of the proposed algorithm is able to extended to various areas such as souvenir and public relation.

Analysis of Narrative for Mobile e-book Applications with Haeinsa Buddhist Tales

  • This study describes the humanistic perspective inherent in Korean Buddhism. It is based on a narrative of the establishment of Haeinsa Temple, which is one of the three major Korean traditional temples, and represents the heritage of Korean Buddhism. With this narrative, we developed and implemented mobile content for Android devices titled "Treasures from the Palace of the Dragon King". Its scenario, which is a folktale of the establishment of the Haeinsa Temple, was created using A.J. Greimas' Actantial model as the research method. As a result, the content developed by the reconstruction of the scenario consists of mini-games and animations offering an intuitive user experience (UX), which is implemented in a compound E-BOOK for mobile devices. We aim to promote Korea's traditional culture throughout the world, using this content as a starting point for the future.

  • In this paper, we propose the improvement method of the camera images regardless of exposure environments. By using a double-exposure method, we could improve camera images with clear recognition. We applied the improvement method on the mobile phone. For the feasibility of the proposed algorithm, we compared simulated camera images with the proposed method to conventional images by using auto-exposure image. Experimental results are also shown in this paper.

  • This paper describes an algorithm for determining robot location using appearance-based paradigm. This algorithm compress the image set using PCA(principal component analysis) to obtain a low-dimensional subspace, called the eigenspace, and it makes a manifold that represent a continuous-appearance function. To determine robot location, given an unknown input image, the recognition system first projects the image to eigenspace. Neural network use coefficients of the eigenspace to estimate the location of the mobile robot. The algorithm has been implemented and tested on a mobile robot system. In several trials it computes location accurately.

  • Mobile phone GPS positioning system is a function we often use, which can make user locate his own position all time. But due to lots of inconvenience brought to us by some error existing in mobile phone positioning system, how to accurately position becomes a hot research topic at home and abroad. This paper puts forward a way of precise calculating position. Firstly, take object's image with mobile phone camera; then, process the image to extract and identify object inside; finally, calculate the distance between the object and user with the object's information stored in the database.

휴대폰 환경에서의 근적외선 얼굴 및 홍채 다중 인식 연구 (A Study on Multi-modal Near-IR Face and Iris Recognition on Mobile Phones)

  • 휴대폰에서 보안 필요성이 증가함에 따라 개인 인증을 위하여 홍채, 지문, 얼굴과 같은 단일 생체 정보를 이용한 많은 연구들이 진행되었으나 단일 생체 인식에서는 인식 정확도에 한계가 있었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 휴대폰 환경에서 고 인식율을 위해 얼굴과 홍채를 결합하는 방법에 대해 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 근적외선 조명과 근적외선 통과 필터를 부착한 휴대폰의 메가 픽셀 카메라를 사용하여 근적외선 얼굴 및 홍채 영상을 동시에 취득한 후, SVM(Support Vector Machine)을 기반으로 스코어 레벨에서 결합하였다. 또한, 저 연산의 로가리듬(Logarithm) 알고리즘을 사용한 얼굴 데이터의 조명 변화에 대한 정규화와 극 좌표계 변환 및 홍채 코드의 비트 이동 매칭에 의한 홍채 영역의 이동, 회전, 확대 및 축소에 대한 정규화를 통해 SVM의 분류 복잡도와 얼굴, 홍채 데이터의 본인 변화도를 최소화함으로써 인식 정확도를 향상시켰으며, 저 연산의 휴대폰 환경에서 정수혈 기반의 얼굴 및 홍채 인식 알고리즘을 사용하여 처리시간을 향상시켰다. 실험 결과, SVM을 사용한 인식의 정확성이 단일 생체(얼굴 또는 홍채), SUM, MAX, MIN 그리고 Weighted SUM을 사용하는 것보다 우수한 것을 알 수 있었다.
