Network industry is complex combined with various fields of industry, such as communication, broadcast, construction, and home appliances. Moreover, it's fairly lucrative since the growth industry makes lots of added values, interacting with the others.The network industry, usually called 'Ubiquitous', connects some home appliances and makes an integrated system that you can use them with whenever and wherever. A demand for network security, however, has skyrocketed due to the relatively low safety. It's been expected that the market of home security is going to be grown up nearly 30 percent every year. Recently, analog surveilance cameras have been replaced with digital ones, and they will be providing stronger security services taking advantage of mutual interaction with related industies. In this paper, a mobile monitoring system for home security is proposed, which makes it possible to supervise all home appliances wherever you're, using the conventional wired/wireless network infra.

The computer was only used to calculate and solve the mathematical problems, to send the simple data, and to exchange the text based informations in the early 1990's. But nowadays, computer technology give us the chance to exchange digital goods and services, etc. And more, computer and computer based systems can be applied everywhere, for example, it can be used at office, at home, and at school. Most of all, one of the remarkable changes is the development of mobile industry, which can be applied anywhere and anytime. So, this study focused on the current situation and promotion plans of the mobile industry. Mobile is based on the IT, IT and mobile technology are the foundation stone of ubiquitous computing environments. Accordingly, this thesis analysis the meaning of ubiquitous, the meaning and roll of mobile industry. With the analysis of this, the conclusion is that to develop and success the new business model at home and overseas, the cooperation of government section and industry section is the most import thing to make it out.

Mobile IP는 OSI7 계층 중 네트워크 계층에서의 이동성 지원을 위한 Protocol이다. Mobile IP의 세 주체 중 Home Agent와 Foreign Agent는 Mobile Node 에게 이동성을 제공하는 서비스 제공자로서의 역할을 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 Mobile IP Protocol의 주체 중 Mobile Agent를 객체지향 개념을 도입하여 설계.구현한다. Linux Kernel 2.2.14의 환경에서 객체지향 언어인 C++을 이용, 기능적인 측면에서의 객체를 구성하고, IP 계층에서의 이동성을 제공하기 위해 Home Agent와 Foreign Agent의 주된 기능인 터널링(Tunneling)을 Linux Kernel의 모듈(Module)을 이용, 설계.구현한다.

Mobile SCTP (mSCTP) is a new scheme which can be used to provide seamless handover for the mobile node. The reason that is possible is because of the SCTP extension which provides a method to reconfigure IP address on an existing SCTP association (ADDIP). While mSCTP focuses on an association originated ken mobile node (MN) toward fixed correspondent node (CN), mSCTP with Mobile IP support an association originated from CN toward MN by using the Home Agent in Mobile IP and location management. However, there are still some problems related to communication interruption. In this paper, we present a new scheme to solve these problems. The main idea of this scheme is using the home address of MN as a backup path of an SCTP association.

이동 에이전트는 네트워크에서 사용자를 대신하여 특정 작업을 수행하면서, 자율적으로 한 노드에서 다른 노드로 이주할 수 있는 프로그램이다. 본 연구에서는 이동 에이전트가 여러 노드들을 이주하면서 실행하다가 비정상적인 종료 상황이 발생했을 때 이전 사이트에 저장한 이동 에이전트의 체크포인트를 이용해서 이동 에이전트를 안전하게 복원하고 실행을 재개할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 체크포인트의 보안을 위해 이동 에이전트의 공개키를 이용하여 체크 포인트를 암호화하여 저장하고, 복원 시에는 홈 플랫폼에서 이동 에이전트의 비밀키를 이용해서 이동 에이전트를 복원한다. 홈 플랫폼이 이동 에이전트를 복원하기 위해서 체크포인트를 수신하였을 때 이 체크포인트가 올바른 체크포인트인지 확인하기 위해서 메시지 다이제스트를 이용하며, 이동 에이전트가 체크포인트를 만들 때 생성한 메시지 다이제스트와 복원 시에 만든 메시지 다이제스트를 비교함으로써 홈 플랫폼은 수신한 이동 에이전트의 체크포인트의 정확성을 확인할 수 있게 된다.

The purpose of this study was 1) to examine the usage of mobile internet by cell phone or palm pilot, etc., 2) to analyze mobile users' lifestyles, 3) to examine preferred fashion services according to users' lifestyles and 4) to investigate service satisfaction and preference with the mobile internet. 193 university students in Seoul were randomly selected as subject. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics (i.e., percentage, frequency), factor analysis, cluster analysis and ANOVA. The results of the study were as follows: first, most mobile users spent 10 min a day for using the mobile internet (i.e., short message service) mainly in transportation vehicles. Secondly, five factors in the mobile users' lifestyle were named as: 'surfer', 'absorber', 'expert', 'accepter' and 'enthusiast'. Thirdly, two factors in the preferences of fashion service on mobile internet were 'customized information service' and 'ordinary information service'. Fourthly, according to the internet lifestyle, mobile users were classified into three groups: 'mania group', 'follower group', and 'veteran group'. The mania group was the highest group in mobile service satisfaction and service preference. Marketing implications are discussed for the successful mobile business in clothing and textile industry.

A security robot system named EGIS-SR is a mobile security robot through one of the new growth engine project in robotic industries. It allows home surveillance through an autonomous mobile platform using onboard cameras and wireless security sensors. EGIS-SR has many sensors to allow autonomous navigation, hierarchical control architecture to handle lots of situations in monitoring home surveillance and mighty networks to achieve unmanned security services. EGIS-SR is tightly coupled with a networked security environment, where the information of the robot is remotely connected with the remote cockpit and patrol man. It achieved an intelligent unmanned security service. The robot is a two-wheeled mobile robot and has casters and suspension to overcome a doorsill. The dynamic motion is verified through $ADAMS^{TM}$ simulation. For the main controller, PXA270 based hardware platform based on linux kernel 2.6 is developed. In the linux platform, data handling for various sensors and the localization algorithm are performed. Also, a local path planning algorithm for object avoidance with ultrasonic sensors and localization using $StarGazer^{TM}$ is developed. Finally, for the automatic charging, a docking algorithm with infrared ray system is implemented.

기존 유선 방식의 홈네트워크 시스템에 무선 방식이 적용됨에 따라 사용자들은 댁내 어디에서나 편리하게 홈네트워크 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 되었다. 이러한 홈네트워크 시스템에서 안전한 네트워크를 구성하기 위해서는 사용자의 인증과 더불어 무선을 사용하는 기기들에 대한 양방향 인증이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 안전한 무선 홈네트워크 환경을 구축하기 위한 양방향 인증 메커니즘을 제안한다.

가정의 정보가전기기의 소형화, 네트워크화에 따라 사용자에게 네트워크의 유연성, 이동성, 사용의 편리성을 제공해 주는 무선 홈네트워크에 대한 요구가 증대되고 있다. 이러한 홈네트워크 시스템에서 기기들간의 양방향 인증이 필요하며 관련 연구가 진행되고 있지만 사용성면에서 문제점이 지적되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 무선 홈네트워크 환경에서 홈로봇을 이용한 양방향 기기 인증 메커니즘을 제안하고 이를 설계 및 구현한다.

인프라스트럭처 모드 기반의 무선랜(Wireless Local Area Networks)을 사용하는 무선 홈네트워크에서는 모든 무선 단말간의 통신이 액세스포인트를 통하여 이루어진다. 따라서 무선 단말이 음영 지역(Dead Zone)으로 이동하면 이동한 무선 단말과 액세스포인트간의 통신이 불가능하여 끊김없는 연결(Seamless Connection)을 제공하지 못하는 문제점이 있다. 기존의 무선 홈네트워크 플랫폼에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 애드 혹 모드로 동작하는 무선 홈네트워크 구조에 대하여 연구하고 있지만, 애드 혹 모드 기반의 무선랜은 인프라스트럭처 모드 기반 무선랜에 비하여 네트워크 용량이 제한되는 문제가 있다. 그리고 무선 단말의 이동성을 지원하기 위해서는 애드 혹 라우팅 기법이 필요하다. 그러나 기존의 AODV 및 DSR 라우팅 기법은 무선 채널 정보를 참조하지 않고 네트워크 계층에서 독립적으로 라우팅을 수행하기 때문에 무선 채널의 상황에 빠르게 대처할 수 없어 끊김없는 연결을 제공할 수 없다. 이에 본 논문에서는 종단간 끊김없는 데이터전송을 보장하기 위한 ESCOD(End-to-end Seamless multi-hop COnnection based on Dual network mode) 기반의 무선 홈네트워크 플랫폼과 VLR(Virtual Link Routing) 기법을 제안하였다. 구현된 시스템의 성능을 평가한 결과, VLR을 탑재한 ESCOD 기반의 무선 홈네트워크 플랫폼은 기존의 AODV 및 DSR 라우팅 보다 낮은 패킷 전송의 실패율과 빠른 패킷의 평균 전송시간을 제공함과 동시에 기존 인프라스트럭처 모드만을 제공하는 무선 홈네트워크 플랫폼보다 넓은 통신 범위와 향상된 TCP 성능을 확인하였다.
