Home Appliance Auto-configuration Scheme Using XML for Home Network Mobile Services (홈 네트워크 모바일 서비스를 위한 XML을 이용한 댁내 가전기기 자동 설정 방식)

  • Standardization of the home-networking technologies and the home network trial has been tried to activate the home network services and develop the new business models. Home network mobile service using a cellular phone provides the control and monitoring the states of the information appliances and HA(home automation) devices through a home network gateway interworking with a home server. For this purpose, the home network mobile application in a cellular phone can automatically change the configuration of the information appliances and HA devices interworking with a home server. In this paper, we propose the home appliance auto-configuration scheme using XML for home network mobile services. The proposed scheme is implemented on WIPI of the domestic mobile platform standardization.

Hierarchical Home Agent Handover in Mobile IP (Mobile IP 에서의 계층적인 Home Agent Handover 기법)

  • In the Mobile IP, the movement of Mobile Host(MH) causes packets to be transmitted through a long route. A Correspond Node(CN) first communicate with a Home Agent(HA) when a Mobile Host moved from one subnet to another subnet. The HH-MIP algorithm reduces an inefficient transmission of packets by regarding a Foreign Agent(FA) near a mobile host as a Temporary Home Agent(THA). However, The algorithm costs the unnecessary signaling by measuring the distance of route between a FA and a THA for handover in the case that a Mobile host comes from a THA which a current FA never communicated. To solve this problem, we propose a scheme called Hierarchical Home Agent Handover in Mobile IP(HHH-MIP) algorithm. Our HHH-MIP algorithm only searches tables in a router by using the hierarchical structure between a FA and a THA. The simulation results show that the HHH-MIP algorithm reduces the additional signaling cost.

Multiple Reward Reinforcement learning control of a mobile robot in home network environment

  • The following paper deals with a control problem of a mobile robot in home network environment. The home network causes the mobile robot to communicate with sensors to get the sensor measurements and to be adapted to the environment changes. To get the improved performance of control of a mobile robot in spite of the change in home network environment, we use the fuzzy inference system with multiple reward reinforcement learning. The multiple reward reinforcement learning enables the mobile robot to consider the multiple control objectives and adapt itself to the change in home network environment. Multiple reward fuzzy Q-learning method is proposed for the multiple reward reinforcement learning. Multiple Q-values are considered and max-min optimization is applied to get the improved fuzzy rule. To show the effectiveness of the proposed method, some simulation results are given, which are performed in home network environment, i.e., LAN, wireless LAN, etc.

A study on the factors influencing switching behavior to and satisfaction with home shopping mobile apps (홈쇼핑 모바일앱 전환 및 만족도 영향 요인 연구)

  • This study aimed to investigate the influence of consumers' innovativeness, perceived benefits of home shopping mobile apps, and satisfaction with telephone orders on switching to and satisfaction with such apps (for those who have used these apps). This study also investigated the influence of the aforementioned factors on the intention to switch to home shopping mobile apps (for those who have not used these apps). Data were collected from 546 customers ranging in age from 18 to 59 with experience purchasing fashion goods from home shopping networks, and 502 of the questionnaires were used in the statistical analyses. Structure equation models were employed using AMOS 23.0. The results were as follows: for consumers experienced with home shopping mobile apps, their innovativeness and perceived benefits of such apps (convenience, usefulness) influenced their switching behavior. Additionally, consumers' innovativeness and perceived benefits of these apps (usefulness, accessibility, interactiveness) affected their satisfaction with the apps. For those not experienced with home shopping mobile apps, consumers' innovativeness and perceived benefits of the apps (interactiveness, security, enjoyment) influenced their intention to switch to these apps. These results indicate that different strategies should be developed for home shopping consumers experienced and inexperienced with these apps for the improvement of app satisfaction.

  • This paper proposes the system model that is more efficient and active than formal home automation system and it can conquer the limits of formal one using intelligent mobile robot. This system uses specialized intelligent mobile robot for home environment and the robot moves around home instead of human. We call the system model to HAuPIRS (Home Automation system using PDA based Intelligent Robot System). HAuPIRS control architecture is composed three parts and each part is User Level, Cognitive Level, Executive Level. It is easy to use system and possible to extend the home apparatusfrom new technology. We made the PBMoRo System (PDA Based Mobile Robot System) based on HAuPIRS architecture and verified the efficiency of the system model.

  • Due to the miniaturization and the network supporting functions of home appliances, there is growing need for mobile environment home network system which provides flexibility, mobility and convenience to users. However in home, there are obstacles which make shaded areas and only static and restricted services are available for the existing mobile environment home network system. In this paper, we proposed the mobile environment home network system using Home Robot in order to solve the problem of existing mobile environment home network system.

  • This paper analyzes performance measures of a Bluetooth_based mobile home network system. The home network system consists of terminals with Bluetooth interfaces, access points (AP), a home PC, and a gateway A mobile host in wireless terminals uses Mobile IP for supporting the mobility This paper considers four types of data traffic, which are new connection traffic, handoff traffic, Internet data traffic, and control data traffic and suggests a queueing system model of the home network system, where the AP and the home PC are modeled as M/G/1 with four priority queues and the gateway is modeled as M/G/1 with a single queue The generation rate and service time of individual traffic influence their performance measures. Based ell the suggested model, we propose the elapsed time of data traffic in terms of the number of cells, the number of Home PCs, arrival rates of four types of traffic and the service rates of AP/Home PCs/Gateway To analyze influences on the elapsed time with respect to arrival rate of four types of traffic, some examples are given.

  • In this paper, we propose a home-networking service using mobile phone and ZigBee module. Recently, ZigBee is widely used for various applications due to its characteristics. Especially, it is generally adopted for home network services. We propose a new home network service model using mobile phones. In the proposed architecture, the mobile phones are connected to conventional home network appliances using ZigBee dongle. Also, several servers are implemented for service management. We implement the whole components of the proposed architecture and show the validity of the proposed method. With the proposed service structure, it is expected to provide various ubiquitous services for the user.

  • Purpose: We examine the impact of Customization of TV Home Shopping Mobile Applications on Service Quality and Customer Loyalty. Methods: We collect data by using survey and proposed relationships between latent variables using Structural Equations Modeling. Results: We find that Customization of TV Home Shopping Mobile Applications positively affect Service Quality and Customer Loyalty. In addition, service quality work as a mediate variable between Customization with Customer Loyalty. Conclusion: Our findings explain the significant relationships between each variables and hence it is necessary to consider Customization and Service Quality in order to achieve desired goal of enhancing business performance through mobile applications.
