In the next generation wireless mobile network, various methods are studied to offer interworking and mobility between various radio networks. To offer these harmoniously, network adaptation methods based on IP is generalized, and specifications of host-based mobility method with Mobile IPv4 and Mobile IPv6 to offer IP's mobility are defined in IETF specially. However, it is insufficient to satisfy quality of service that should be offered in wireless mobile network environment. Alternatively studies about Network-Based Mobility of Proxy Mobile IPv4, Proxy Mobile IPv6 etc. are preceded. This paper presents optimum plan that can offer mobility in the next generation radio transfer communication network by comparing and analyzing IP mobility methods divided by Host-based Mobility and Network-based Mobility.

This study models the operational competence of mobile service providers as an endogenous factor that presumably impacts the mobile commerce (m-commerce) adoption of consumers and examines the relationship between the perceptions of consumers toward the operational performance of m-commerce providers and their m-commerce adoption likelihood. Quantitative research is applied with data collected from wireless Internet consumers in South Korea. The data is analyzed using factor analysis and structural equation modeling methods. The findings suggest that the operational competence of m-commerce providers is a significant antecedent to the m-commerce use and adoption of consumers in Korea. In this environment, the operational competence of mobile service providers in managing facilities, equipment, systems and technology plays a central role in enhancing m-commerce use and adoption. Based on the results, important managerial implications are discussed.

In order to expand the supply of hydrogen vehicles, the first thing to be done is to build an infrastructure to supply hydrogen. There are fixed and mobile types of hydrogen refueling stations that can supply hydrogen. Mobile hydrogen refueling stations have the advantage of supplying hydrogen to two or three areas, so the introduction of mobile hydrogen refueling stations is considered at the initial stage of hydrogen vehicle dissemination. However, mobile hydrogen refueling stations have greater risks than fixed hydrogen refueling stations due to the hazard associated with movement and intensive installation of facilities in vehicle, so stricter design standards to lower the risk must be applied. Therefore, in this study, basic data for establishing safety standards for mobile hydrogen refueling stations were proposed by suggesting improvements such as the location of emergency shutoff valves, the number of gas detectors etc., using HAZOP analysis.

In this paper, a remote screen control by mobile networks on embedded system is implemented. For this system a server program is ported on the embedded system connected with internet. And on the side of a mobile phone, a client program is ported using GVM. The embedded system can display the text and image from the mobile phone on its LCD. In the implemented embedded system the text and image data from GVM emulator is sent to the system for display on its LCD. The realization of the proposed embedded system can display the text :md image from a working mobile phone.

The internet and wireless communication technologies are creating ubiquitous environments in which various services are expected anytime and anywhere. Many hardware facilities have been developed and system structures are suggested for mobile services to realize a ubiquitous computing environment with appropriate quality. But these applications are not designed in the consideration of the general capabilities to perform user's wireless and mobile communication/transaction. Consequently, different needs from users are not sufficiently satisfied yet. In this study, we suggest structure of the emerging network system for mobile commerce that provides users with seamless and ubiquitous environments using location information which exploit context-aware technology.

An IP address plays both endpoint identifier and location identifier in wire based network. However, one IP address can not provide both endpoint identifier and location identifier for mobile Internet environment such as cellular network and portable Internet. To resolve this problem, mobile IPv4 and mobile IPv6 technologies are developed. These technologies are based on the concept of separation the endpoint identifier from location identifier. This paper describes some results of the recent studies such as mobile IPv4, mobile IPv6, host identify protocol and so on. Also, we propose the criteria to decide which technologies are suitable for deployment in the practical network environment.

IP-based mobile communication system is one of the key research items in the mobile networks for a long time. But, due to some technical issues and no need of markets, it is still not full-fledged. Recently, CDMA and WCDMA service providers want to introduce IP-based network connectivity. Even though their efforts, the main network intra-structure depends on ATM or HDLC technology. This article describes a good example of commercialization of IP-based mobile communication systems. Our research is not experimental system but a in-service system - replacing the existing equipments with new IP-based systems. In this paper, we introduce IP related technologies used in our research such as IP-based ATCA(Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture) platform, HA(High Availability) redundancy, IP multicast, network redundancy techniques, multi-link bundling and IP header compression. These are already well-known to internet domain. We mix them with mobile communication systems concretely.

This paper describes the standardization of remote monitoring and controlling system for nursery electrical facilities. The proposed system have three operating modes of motoring, controlling, and fault-notifying. In fault-notifying mode, the local unit is designed to send messages on failure of the electrical facilities to the central computer, mobile phone, and pager. Also, the local unit is consisted of 24-input and 8-output port needed for monitoring and controlling the facilities. With the use of this standardized system, we could expect the effective management in every phase of nursery facilities.

In this paper, we estimate the investment cost for the IMT-2000 services in Korea. The network elements for the IMT-2000 system are drawn out and the required number of base stations(Node-B) is predicted by using the coverage of the base station. With the assumption of the 2-generation mobile communications network configuration, the number of radio network controllers(RNC's) and core network facilities is estimated. We also setup different scenarios by considering the utilization of the transmission facilities between base stations, RNC's and switching systems, and then evaluate the investment cost for each scenario.

Recently flash memory is widely used in various mobile devices as storage medium. Nonvolatile memory can be divided into two categories: NAND- and NOR-type flash memory. NOR flash memory is mainly used to store instruction codes for operation; while NAND for data storage. However, NAND does show more economical benefits, that is, it is approximately 30~40% cheaper than NOR flash. Therefore it can be useful to improve NAND flash performance by replacing NOR flash with NAND flash combining with various buffer systems.
