Hybrid Stereoscopic Camera System (이종 카메라를 이용한 스테레오 카메라 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a hybrid stereoscopic camera system which acquires and utilizes stereoscopic images from two different camera modules, the main-camera module and the sub-camera module. Hybrid stereoscopic camera can effectively reduce the price and the size of a stereoscopic camera by using a relatively small and cheap sub-camera module such as a mobile phone camera. Images from the two different camera modules are very different from each other in aspects of color, angle of view, scale, resolution and so on. The proposed system performs an efficient hybrid stereoscopic image registration algorithm that transforms hybrid stereoscopic images into normal stereoscopic images based-on camera geometry. As experimental results, the registered stereoscopic images and applications of the proposed system are shown to demonstrate the performance and the functionality of the proposed camera system.

  • WMN is considered as a core methodology to provide mobile wireless network service with multi-hop routing feature. It has a merit that can be easily deployed by utilization of protocols for MANET. However, it has differences in supporting multiple networks and channels, network architecture, and so on. Especially, in case of routing protocols, to apply them intactly to WMN can be a cause of low performance because of do not moving mesh routers. AODV seems like suitable for WMN among the various routing protocols for MANET. However, it has a defect in scalability. In this paper, an enhanced AODV routing method for WMN was proposed. The proposed method was designed to be suitable to the architecture of WMN by use of layering and localizing the broadcasting domain.

  • This paper presents a unified live-streaming method based on Hypertext Mark-up Language 5(HTML5) for an IP camera which is independent of browsers of clients and is implemented with open-source libraries. Currently, conventional security systems based on analog CCTV cameras are being modified to newer surveillance systems utilizing IP cameras. These cameras offer remote surveillance and monitoring regardless of the device being used at any time, from any location. However, this approach needs live-streaming protocols to be implemented in order to verify real-time video streams and surveillance is possible after installation of separate plug-ins or special software. Recently, live streaming is being conducted through HTML5 using two different standard protocols: HLS and DASH, that works with Apple and Android products respectively. This paper proposes a live-streaming approach that is linked on either of the two protocols which makes the system independent with the browser or OS. The client is possible to monitor real-time video streams without the need of any additional plug-ins. Moreover, by implementing open source libraries, development costs and time were economized. We verified usefulness of the proposed approach through mobile devices and extendability to other various applications of the system.

  • A symmetric block cryptosystem uses an identical cryptographic key at encryption and decryption processes. HIGHT cipher algorithm is 64-bit block cryptographic technology for mobile device that was authorized as international standard by ISO/IEC on 2010. In this paper, block cipher HIGHT algorithm is designed using Verilog-HDL. Four modes of operation for block cipher such as ECB, CBC, OFB and CTR are supported. When continuous message blocks of fixed size are encrypted or decrypted, the desigend HIGHT core can process a 64-bit message block in every 34-clock cycle. The cryptographic processor designed in this paper operates at 144MHz on vertex chip of Xilinx, Inc. and the maximum throughput is 271Mbps. The designed cryptographic processor is applicable to security module of the areas such as PDA, smart card, internet banking and satellite broadcasting.

  • Since success of in the box office, there are not only highly interested in 3D Stereoscopic in Media market but also has been briskly supporting for 3D Stereoscopic producing in variety platforms including film, broadcasting, mobile They expect 3D Stereoscopic will be a new standard format for media of domestic market as well as overseas. However there are required professional production system and grant capital for 3D Stereoscopic production. In case of domestic industry, there are not forged through specialized production system and lack of 3D Stereoscopic producing. They are needed not only Pipeline for 3D Stereoscopic production but also strategic supporting like specialized education and test-bed for 3D Stereoscopic production. It is able to established efficient and specialized system for 3D Stereoscopic production given the pipeline proposal.

Stereoscopic Image Generation with Optimal Disparity using Depth Map Preprocessing and Depth Information Analysis (깊이맵의 전처리와 깊이 정보의 기하학적 분석을 통한 최적의 스테레오스코픽 영상 자동 생성 기법)

  • The DIBR(depth image-based rendering) method gives the sense of depth to viewers by using one color image and corresponding depth image. At this time, the qualities of the generated left- and right-image depend on the baseline distance of the virtual cameras corresponding to the view of the generated left- and right-image. In this paper, we present a novel method for enhancing the sense of depth by adjusting baseline distance of virtual cameras. Geometric analysis shows that the sense of depth is better in accordance with the increasing disparity due to the reduction of the image distortion. However, the entailed image degradation is not considered. Experimental results show that there is maximum bound in the disparity increasement due to image degradation and the visual field. Since the image degradation is reduced for increasing that bound, we add a depth map preprocessing. Since the interactive service where the disparity and view position are controlled by viewers can also be provided, the proposed method can be applied to the mobile broadcasting system such as DMB as well as 3DTV system.

  • Satellite Digital Multimedia Broadcasting(SDMB) needs Gap Fillers(GFs) to cover the non-service areas. However, SDMB mobile phones which are not located in GFs service area receive signals directly from the satellite because it is impossible to cover all SDMB service with GFs. Therefore, there is a border between the GFs service coverage and the satellite service coverage and it causes a time delay in signals which are from the GFs or the satellite. The time delay is the reason why SDMB service deteriorates. In this paper, I show how to reduce the deterioration of SDMB service in the border area between the GFs and the satellite adding the time delay to the satellite signal and the GFs signal. I think that this method is helpful in reducing the deterioration, especially in the early stages of SDMB service, which the GFs are not spread all over the nation yet.

Performance Comparison of Call Admission Control Based on Predictive Resource Reservations in Wireless Networks (무선망의 자원예측에 의한 호 수락제어방식의 성능비교)

  • This paper evaluates the performance of three methods for predicting resources requested by mobile's calls and a call admission algorithm based on these predicting methods respectively in wireless networks. The first method is based on Wiener prediction model and the second method is based on the MMOSPRED algorithm and the third method is based on the neural network. The proposed call admission algorithm is based on prioritized handoff call in resource allocation. The resources for future handoff calls are therefore predicted and reserved in advance, and then new calls are admitted as long as the remaining resources are sufficient. We compare their performances in terms of prediction error, new call blocking and handoff dropping probabilities by simulation. Results show that the CAC based on Wiener prediction model performs favorably due to exact resources prediction.

  • Recently, with rapid development of digital broadcasting technology, high-definition video service increased interest and demand. supplied mobile and image device support that improve 4~16 time existing Full HD. Such as high-definition contents supply, proposed compression for high-efficiency video codec (HEVC). Therefore, watermarking technology is necessary applying HEVC for protecting ownership and intellectual property. In this paper, analysis of prediction mode in intra frame and study feasibility of watermarking in re-encoding based HEVC. Proposed detect un-changed blocks in intra frame, using the result of analysis prediction mode.

  • In this paper, Switching to digital TV broadcasting and mobile operators license expiration period of the frequency, time and 700MHz, 800MHz and 900MHz frequency band plan for the redistribution is actively being discussed. Redistribution policy direction of these frequency 800MHz (bandwidth 10MHz) integrated command frequency for wireless networks(i.e TETRA) is expected to be considered a redistribution. These Integrated Wireless Network Infrastructure configurations at the time and data communication capabilities of the system unwilling TETRA Release 2 standard for the system is presented. This system is analyzed that Release 1 of the existing system takes up more than 6 times the increase of frequency bands. Therefore, integration of the frequency band assigned to the command of a wireless network with the introduction of advanced systems will not be able to do. In this paper to the digital TV transition, and the policy based on analysis of trends in the 700MHz band for the integration of wireless networks, provides policy direction for the allocation plan.
