모바일 단말기에 의한 과일 창고 관리 시스템 구현 (Design and Implementation of Fruits Warehouse Management System using Mobile Terminals)

  • 본 논문에서는 모바일 단말기를 이용하여 과일의 저장 환경을 모니터링하고, 제어할 수 있는 과일 창고 관리 시스템의 설계 및 구현하였다. RFID/USN 기술을 기반으로 하여 과일 창고 환경 및 재고 관리를 효율적으로 수행할 수 있는 무선 센서 네트워크를 구현하였고, 기본적으로 데스크 탑에서 실행되는 윈도우 기반 응용 프로그램을 통하여 자동화된 환경 관리를 수행한다. 또한 WINC 서비스를 이용하여 모바일 단말기를 통해 과일 창고에 대한 원격 환경 제어를 수행할 수 있는 기능을 제공하는 시스템이다.

블루투스 기반 이동 Home Network의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Mobile Home Network Based on Bluetooth)

  • This paper analyzes performance measures of a Bluetooth_based mobile home network system. The home network system consists of terminals with Bluetooth interfaces, access points (AP), a home PC, and a gateway A mobile host in wireless terminals uses Mobile IP for supporting the mobility This paper considers four types of data traffic, which are new connection traffic, handoff traffic, Internet data traffic, and control data traffic and suggests a queueing system model of the home network system, where the AP and the home PC are modeled as M/G/1 with four priority queues and the gateway is modeled as M/G/1 with a single queue The generation rate and service time of individual traffic influence their performance measures. Based ell the suggested model, we propose the elapsed time of data traffic in terms of the number of cells, the number of Home PCs, arrival rates of four types of traffic and the service rates of AP/Home PCs/Gateway To analyze influences on the elapsed time with respect to arrival rate of four types of traffic, some examples are given.

Mobile ATM: A Generic and flexible network infrastructure for 3G mobile services

  • this paper presents the concept of "mobile ATM', a proposal for third-generation (3G) mobile communication network infrastructure capable of supporting flexible evolution of radio technologies from today's cellular and data services towards future wireless multimedia services. Mobile ATM provides generic mobility management and QoS-based transport capabilities suitable for integration of multiple radio access technologies including cellular voice. wireless data, and future broadband wireless services. The architecture of a mobile ATM network is outlined in terms of the newly-defined "W-UNI" interface at the radio link and "M-UNI"and "M-UNI" interface which supports unified access for WATM and non-ATM mobile terminals through corresponding interworking functions (IWF) is explained. leading to an understanding of how different radio access technologies are supported by the same ATM-based core network infrastructure. Generic mechanisms for handoff and location management within the core mobile network are discussed. and related protocol extensions over the "W-UNI" and "M-UNI/NNI"interfaces are proposed. the issue of "crossover switch (COS)" selection in mobile ATM is considered, and a unified handoff signaling syntax which supports flexibility in COS selection is described. Typical signaling sequences for call connection and handoff using the proposed protocols are outlined. Experimental results form a proof-of-concept mobile ATM network prototype are presented in conclusion.

  • In recent years, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assisted mobile free space optical (FSO) communication technique has attracted considerable attention regarding its aims to provide improved communication conditions for fixed-to-fixed FSO network and promising fronthaul and backhaul solutions for 5G+ wireless networks. This can be attributed to its outstanding advantages such as fast deployment and flexible network configuration. The UAV-assisted mobile FSO system can be used to provide cost-effective internet services in rural and remote areas and in hotspot areas that are characterized by increased data traffic. Additionally, it can be used to provide secure communication services under emergency circumstances. In this report, we review recent R&D trends in wireless network technology employing the UAV-assisted mobile FSO technique and key technologies for mobile FSO wireless networks. Furthermore, we introduce drone-based mobile FSO terminals and control systems that we have developed.

  • Much recent attention on wireless technologies s put on topology-less wireless network, in which all nodes an be mobile and can communicate over wireless links, due to its ease of deployment, high flexibility and low expenses. One key in topology-less wireless network is mobile base stations (MBSs), which provides access points or mobile terminals (MTs) to wireless backbone network. MBSs can move to anywhere in accordance with changes in geographical distribution of MTs. They serve as dynamic odes. However, in order to utilize network resources and take full advantage of this topology-less network, MBSs must move to suitable position according to the current tate of network use. Moreover, MBSs have to consider the distance among them to avoid the crash and gap area of MBSs. Therefore, this paper proposes MBS movement algorithm by implementing push-pull method to fulfill the corporation of MBSs and considering the center of covered MTs or centroid to satisfy the MT coverage. From the simulation results, the proposed algorithm increases the performance of system when comparing with the centroid-based algoriom〔7〕, such as coverage area, MT coverage and call drops rate.

  • Multihop wireless networks consist of mobile terminals with personal communication devices. Each terminal can receive a message from a terminal and send it to the other terminal. In this paper, we discuss edge coloring problems related to multihop wireless networks. We show some relations about the problems.

  • 웹 광학 기반 환경은 무선 기술의 활성화와 무선으로 접속될 수 있는 다양한 디바이스들이 출현하면서 네트워킹의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 무선 인터넷을 지원하는 모바일 컨텐츠 변환을 유선망의 인터넷 정보 컨텐츠를 이용하여 변환, 가공 처리함으로써 무선 인터넷 환경에 적합한 새로운 모바일 컨텐츠 정보를 생성하고자 한다. 모바일 컨텐츠 변환은 다양한 단말기와 표준에 적합한 사이트나 컨텐츠를 별도로 개발 및 운영할 필요 없이 기존 유선 인터넷 컨텐츠를 그대로 모바일 인터넷 환경에서 제공할 수 있도록 모바일 재사용이 가능한 컴포넌트를 추출하는 변환 솔루션으로 생산성 향상과 개발기간의 단축으로 비용절감의 효율성을 극대화시킬 수 있고 필요한 정보를 적시에 제공할 수 있다.

Power Allocation Optimization and Green Energy Cooperation Strategy for Cellular Networks with Hybrid Energy Supplies

  • Energy harvesting is an increasingly attractive source of power for cellular networks, and can be a promising solution for green networks. In this paper, we consider a cellular network with power beacons powering multiple mobile terminals with microwave power transfer in energy beamforming. In this network, the power beacons are powered by grid and renewable energy jointly. We adopt a dual-level control architecture, in which controllers collect information for a core controller, and the core controller has a real-time global view of the network. By implementing the water filling optimized power allocation strategy, the core controller optimizes the energy allocation among mobile terminals within the same cluster. In the proposed green energy cooperation paradigm, power beacons dynamically share their renewable energy by locally injecting/drawing renewable energy into/from other power beacons via the core controller. Then, we propose a new water filling optimized green energy cooperation management strategy, which jointly exploits water filling optimized power allocation strategy and green energy cooperation in cellular networks. Finally, we validate our works by simulations and show that the proposed water filling optimized green energy cooperation management strategy can achieve about 10% gains of MT's average rate and about 20% reduction of on-grid energy consumption.

무선랜 환경에서 AP간 전력임계치값을 통한 호 처리 연구 (A Study of Call Admission Scheme using Power Strength Threshold value between APs in Wireless LAN Environments)

  • 스마트폰과 많은 무선단말기들이 이동성의 특성상 AP간 이동하게 되어 무선단말들과 AP(Access Point)간 많은 호 절체가 이루어지게 된다. AP에서 각 무선단말기마다 처리되는 호 처리는 상대적으로 많은 무선트랙픽을 유발하여 무선대역의 효율적인 활용을 저해하는 요인이 되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 무선단말기와 AP간의 트래픽 발생요인이 되고 있는 AP간 호 절체 트래픽양을 줄이기 위해서 무선단말기에 수신되는 AP들의 전력세기임계치와 임계타이머를 사용하여 AP에서 효과적으로 무선트랙픽을 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다. 제안된 방식과 기존의 방식을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 AP에서 처리하는 무선트래픽 양이 개선되어 전체적으로 무선대역의 활용을 효율적으로 할 수 있었다.

적응적 Request Mini-slots을 이용한 WATM MAC 프로토콜 (WATM MAC Protocol using Adaptive Request Mini-slots)

  • 무선 ATM 망에서, 이동 단말기들은 유선 ATM 망의 단말기와 같은 기능과 QoS를 제공해 야 한다. 그러므로, 기지국 스케줄러에게 이동 단말기들의 ATM 셀 도착에 대한 정보가 빠르게 전달되는 것이 중앙 집중방식으로 제어되는 ATM 기반 MAC 프로토콜의 중요한 항목이다. 그러나, 다수 개의 무선 단말기들이 상향 링크를 통해 상호 경쟁적인 방법으로 데이터 전송을 요구하는 과정에서 충돌이 발생되고, 충돌에 의한 재전송 때문에 처리율이 감소되고 전송 지연이 증가하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 예약을 요청하는 단말기 수를 통계적으로 예측하고 사후 처리율을 고려하여 최적화된 request mini-slot의 개수를 결정하는 MAC 프로토콜을 제안한다. 시뮬레이션 결과에서 제안한 프로토콜이 지연과 처리율에서 높은 성능을 보임을 알 수 있었다.
