  • Design an efficient and secure electronic payment system is important for M-Commerce. In this paper, we propose an efficient Micro-Payment Protocol that allows multiple transactions using ID-based public key cryptosystem. Current PayWord system requires to generate certificate of the vendor for each transaction. In this paper, we use a session key instead of certificate key generated by Weil Pairing which use an Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem over finite field $F_q$ for transactions Therefore, it is more secure in Known key attacks as well as Man-in-the-middle attacks.

  • In the era of convergence, more attention is paid to development of Fintech which attempts for innovation of the financial transaction paradigm through ICT. Proliferation of Fintech to engraft finance-related services on mobile and ICT is found in various fields such as loans, investment and asset management in addition to simple payment or remittance services but awareness of consumers regarding the matter is rather low. Therefore, it is the time to conduct a research on various Fintech businesses. This thesis conducted an empirical research from the viewpoint of consumers to investigate influence on continuous use intention of Fintech users. From the user environment perspective, it was found that influence of innovativeness on satisfaction was not statistically significant. In case of the product characteristics, perceived risk did not have statistical significance on satisfaction.

  • 무선 통신 기술 및 이동 컴퓨터의 성능의 발전함에 따라 이동 컴퓨팅 환경을 단순한 단말기로 사용하기 보다는 독립된 수행 단위로 이용하려는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 즉 모든 작업을 서버에게 보내어 결과를 기다리는 대신 이동 컴퓨터에서 직접수행할 수 있는 알고리즘이 개발되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이동 컴퓨터에서의 트랜잭션 수행 알고리즘을 제안한다. 우리는 낙관적인 기법을 채택하였는데 이기법은 (a) 동기화에 필요한 메시지를 적게 필요로 하며 (b) 브로드캐스트 기법의 장점을 얻을수 있다. 브로드캐스트 기법은 최근 많은 수의 클라이언트에게 정보를 전송할 수 있는 수단으로써 많이 연구되고 있다. 그러나 접근하는 데이터간에 충돌이 빈번하게 발생한다면 낙관적 기법은 결국 높은 철회율을 보이게 되며 이는 다시 이동 컴퓨터 자원으로 효율적으로 사용하려는 목적과 반대 결과가 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 높은 철회율을 감소시키기 위해 재순서화 개념을 도입하였다. 즉 충돌이 발견될 경우 데이터의 일관성을 침해하지 않는 범위내에서 충돌 순서를 결정하도록 하는 것이다. 특히 읽기-쓰기 트랜잭션에 대해서는 후위-재순서화 개념을 읽기-전용 트랜잭션에 대해서는 전위-재순화 개념(O-Pre)을 제안하였으며 실험에 의하여 성능 향상을 보였다.

  • Digital broadcasting technology has developed focusing on multi-channel/multi-media, high-definition quality, and mobility-support. Recently, there has been a clear trend toward bidirectional service with the convergence between broadcasting and communication. The broadcasting viewer is no longer simply a passive receptor but has also become an information generator. Currently, the digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) specifications are the major standard for portable digital broadcasting and have been establishing the overall guidelines for bidirectional service using the MPEG-4 system. While detailed specifications for DMB systems are not well-established for bidirectional service yet, they share the basic concepts underlying the European Eureka-147 Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) system. This paper develops key scenarios for bidirectional service in DMB, describes the signal transaction of broadcasting and return channels, and demonstrates typical scenarios using binary format for scenes (BIFS) in the MPEG-4 system.

  • 무선 인터넷에서는 원격지 이동, 근무자의 근무지원, 무선 상거래로 그 초점이 맞추어지면서 당연히 현재 무선인터넷의 보안도 트랜잭션(transaction) 보안을 시발점으로 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 무선인터넷에서 가장 화두가 되고 있는 WPKI(Wireless Public Key Infrastructure)를 이용한 단대단(End-to-End) 시스템과 MVPN(Mobile Virtual Private Network)을 분석하고, 현재 국내에서 무선인터넷 서비스를 하고 있는 이동통신 사업자의 네트워크 환경을 분석하여, 우선적으로 이동통신망을 이용한 무선 인터넷에서의 보안 시스템에 대해 기술하고자 한다. 그리고 이동전화사업자와 단말기 업체들에 이어 종합 포털(portal)들도 호환성이 강점인 자바 기반의 ‘J2ME(Jave 2 Micro Edition)’을 사용하여 무선인터넷 플랫폼 최적화 움직임이 가속화되고 있는 추세에 맞추어, 본 논문에서는 무선 인터넷 서비스 방식 중 콘텐츠 프로그램의 서버 보관 등 타사 플랫폼과는 차별화된 서비스를 제공하기 때문에 이용자들에게 한층 더 향상된 무선인터넷 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 하는 J2ME 서비스를 기초로 한 단대단간의 보안 역할을 하는 중계보안시스템에 대해 논의하고자 하며, 향후 그 모듈의 일환으로 무선 암호 메시지 전송의 구현을 통하여 이를 현실화하고자 한다.

  • With the success of wireless technologies in consumer electronics, standard wireless technologies are envisioned for the deployment in industrial environments as well. Industrial applications involving mobile subsystems or just the desire to save cabling make wireless technologies attractive. Nevertheless, these applications often have stringent requirements on reliability and timing. In wired environments, timing and reliability are well catered for by fieldbus systems. When wireless links are included, reliability and timing requirements are significantly more difficult to meet, due to the adverse properties of the radio channels. In this paper, we thus discuss some key issues coming up in wireless fieldbus and wireless industrial communication systems.

  • 본 논문에서는 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 발생하는 실시간 이동 트랜잭션을 효율적으로 처리하기 위한 트랜잭션 관리자를 제안한다. 제안된 트랜잭션 관리자는 기존의 종료시한만 고려하던 방법과는 달리 이동 호스트 때문에 발생하는 실시간 데이터의 유효성도 함께 고려하여 트랜잭션의 실행여부를 판단한다. 그 후, 트랜잭션의 중요도와 종료시한을 고려한 우선순위 큐에 최적의 실행 윈도우를 생성하여 스케줄링하고, 실행될 트랜잭션을 선택할 때는 이동 호스트와의 접속 단절을 고려한다. 따라서, 제안된 기법은 실시간 데이터의 유효성 제약조건 위반에 따른 트랜잭션의 철회 후 재시작을 감소시키며, 종료시한을 만족시키는 실시간 이동 트랜잭션의 중요도의 합을 최대로 하는 장점을 가진다. 이 기법은 이동 통신, 응급 재난 구조 시스템 등에서 발생하는 실시간 이동 트랜잭션의 관리자로 적합하다.

Effective Index and Backup Techniques for HLR System in Mobile Networks (이동통신 HLR 시스템에서의 효과적인 색인 및 백업 기법)

  • A Home Location Register(HLR) database system manages each subscriber's location information, which continuously changes in a cellular network. For this purpose, the HLR database system provides table management, index management, and backup management facilities. In this thesis, we propose using a two-level index method for the mobile directory number(MDN) as a suitable method and a chained bucket hashing method for the electronic serial number(ESN). Both the MDN and the ESN are used as keys in the HLR database system. We also propose an efficient backup method that takes into account the characteristics of HLR database transactions. The retrieval speed and the memory usage of the two-level index method are better than those of the R-tree index method. The insertion and deletion overhead of the chained bucket hashing method is less than that of the modified linear hashing method. In the proposed backup method, we use two kinds of dirty flags in order to solve the performance degradation problem caused by frequent registration-location operations. For a million subscribers, proposed techniques support reduction of memory size(more than 62%), directory operations (2500,000 times), and backup operations(more than 80%) compared with current techniques.

  • The development of IT technology and information communication networks activated to online financial transactions; the users were able to get a variety of financial services. However, unlike the positive effect that occurred on 7 July 2009 DDoS(Distribute Denial of Service) attacks, such as damaging to the user, which was caused negative effects. Authentication technology(OTP) is used to online financial transaction, which should be reviewed to safety with various points because the unpredictable attacks can bypass the authentication procedure such as phishing sites, which is occurred. Thus, this paper proposes mobile OTP(One Time Password) Mechanism, which is based on PKI to improve the safety of OTP authentication. The proposed Mechanism is operated based on PKI; the secret is transmitted safely through signatures and public key encryption of the user and the authentication server. The users do not input in the web site, but the generated OTP is directly transmitted to the authentication server. Therefore, it is improvement of the availability of the user and the resolved problem is exposed from the citibank phishing site(USA) in 2006.

Security and Trust on Non-Contact Financial Transaction (금융보안과 신뢰가 비대면 금융거래에 미치는 영향)

  • The pandemic age came to us after the COVID19 broke out in the early of 2020, which resulted in many changes in our everyday life. One of the changes is non-contact transactions in economic activities, especially contact-free financial transactions are ever-increasing activities in the pandemic age. In non-contact financial transactions, security and trust are important issues that users are concerned about the most. So the paper examines how security and trust have effects on the attitudes of bank customers who use mobile banking applications on their smartphones. The study conducted factor ananlysis to extract research constructs using survey data gathered during Nobember of 2020 through February of 2021 across the nation. After extracting the constructs, the study checked validity, sampling adequacy, and internal reliability with KMO, Bartlett's test, and Crombach Alpha respectively. To make sure the purpose of the study, I do regression analysis. All factors of attitude had impacts on willingness on both of transactions and purchasing financial products. The results could give guidelines banks which want to attract more customers in open-banking environment through ever-more secure and trusty mobile banking application.
