  • There are various researches on mobile robot systems. Connection method between server and client of mobile robot system is one of them. In the case of mobile robot system, when connection method between server and client is wireless than wire, applications may be expanded. Also in remote monitoring environment using mobile robot system, we are interested in an effective transmission of the image information between server and client. In this paper, Bluetooth is used for connection method between server and client. One of the major applications of Bluetooth is the cable replacement for mobile and peripheral devices. Using Bluetooth, we propose the control method of mobile robot system. Bluetooth offers fast and reliable transmissions of both voice and data over the globally available 2.4GHz ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) band. It has the advantage of small size, low power and low cost. It has the disadvantage of limited range and limited bandwidth. Also in order to transfer effectively image information between remote site(server) and mobile robot system(client) using Bluetooth, we applied to MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 image compression techniques and the results are compared with each other.

  • This paper describes database server management system by mobile device. Our system can control database server immediately in any where by mobile device. We have developed the dataset server CE which interface with mobile device, database management system which rons in mobile device and web services which connect the mobile database with desktop database. External mobile device communicate with web service agent via wireless equipment. Our system includes dataset server CE client engine, web service server agent and mobile device management system. Through the test by an application program, we have confirmed that our system operates very well each others.

  • Recently, the demand for mobile system is growing owing to the spread of smart phones to enable the real-time business process. This paper proposes the real-time facility maintenance management system using an android-based mobile application to apply to the facility defect/maintenance field for the apartment building complex. The proposed system model aims to develop the comprehensive management system to integrate the web and mobile system to lead to the realization of mobile office. The security measures required in the mobile system are technically analyzed and implemented on the system.

  • The main obstacles for adopting a mobile health information system to existing hospital information system are the redundancy of clinical data and the additional workload for implementing the new system. To obtain a seamless communication and to reduce the workload of implementation, an easy and simple implementation strategy is required. We propose a mobile clinical information system (MobileMed) which is specially designed for the easy implementation. The key elements of MobileMed are a smart interface, an HL7 message server, a central clinical database (CCDB), and a web server. The smart interface module transfers the key information to the HL7 message server as new clinical tests data is recorded in the existing laboratory information system. The HL7 message server generates the HL7 messages and sends them to the CCDS. As a central database the CCDS collects the HL7 messages and presents them to the various mobile devices such as PDA. Through this study we might conclude that the architecture for the mobile system will be efficient for real-time data communication, and the specially designed interface will be an easy tool for implementing the mobile clinical information system.

  • The purpose of this research is to study use method of mobile system for effective field management for urban facilities. GIS database could be standardized commonly useful for the site management of city facilities through standard list, standard items and standard specification appropriate for the mobile system, and this is effective to manage the city facilities on the site in real time.

  • Recently with the rapid development in mobile communication, the mobile phone are utilized in many fields of railway system within country and abroad and its use tends to increase continuously. In the railway system, the applicable realm is spreaded to the fields of railway signal communication, railway operating, track maintenance, reservation and information service, also its role is expected to increase. In this thesis, we are surveying the usage application of home and abroad mobile phone in railway system. Studying the present condition of mobile communication in railway system, we are viewing the application plan and the direction of development.

  • In this paper, a remote screen control by mobile networks on embedded system is implemented. For this system a server program is ported on the embedded system connected with internet. And on the side of a mobile phone, a client program is ported using GVM. The embedded system can display the text and image from the mobile phone on its LCD. In the implemented embedded system the text and image data from GVM emulator is sent to the system for display on its LCD. The realization of the proposed embedded system can display the text :md image from a working mobile phone.

  • For mobile emergency broadcast service, first of all, we shall understand transmission characteristics of each mobile broadcast system which might be appled for it and then analyse of the related disaster (emergency) standards based on emergency characteristic own. In this paper, we propose a CAP-based emergency alert broadcasting system for ATSC Mobile DTV system which has been accepted for the mobile broadcasting system in USA. Since there is no standard for emergency broadcasting using ATSC mobile DTV until now, we analyze common alert protocol in USA and then we proposed Emergency Alert Protocol for ATSC Mobile DTV based on it. And we have designed and implemented our proposed system to verify the effectiveness of it. As a result we show the possibility of emergency alert broadcasting for ATSC Mobile DTV.
