  • Social Network Services are widely used by mass population and it is used as an important communications tool because it allows distribution of diverse and abundant amount of information. This thesis proposes to add a new valuable service function in social network for mobile-based civil complaint management. Therefore, we will develop a social network application for civil affair services that allows immediate civil compliant management while being able to share the contents related to civil affairs with other people. As a result of the experiment, the effect and efficiency of the method proposed in this thesis for social network-based civil affair services was proven. Hence, the social network for mobile-based civil affair services always provides new and improved service components. Moreover, discussing civil complaints in a social network point of view, we can expect high ripple effect and encourage more participation of public users dealing with civil affairs.

  • Mobile social network can be seen as a specific application of the DTN (Delay Tolerant Network), in which the information propagation can be impacted by many social behaviors of the nodes. For a specific node, its social behaviors are various. For example, the node may not be interested in the information before receiving it and may also discard the information after getting it. On the other hand, people are more willing to forward the message to his friends. These interactive behaviors between nodes can be seen as social behaviors. It is easy to see that the impact of the social behaviors is related to the social ties, which can be manifested by the structure of the social network. State of the art works often simply assumes that the social networks can be divided into some communities. At present, some works find that the structure of some social networks is scale-free. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes a theoretical model to evaluate the impact of above social behaviors in the DTN-like scale-free network. Simulation shows the accuracy of the model. Numerical results show that both social behaviors and scale-free character have significant impact on information propagation. Moreover, the impact of social behaviors is related to the scale-free character of the networks.

  • This study examines how different uses of social network sites (SNS) and mobile phones (MP) to communicate with friends and business associates are related to the acquisition of job-related information, job mobility, and entrepreneurial intentions, using social capital as its main theoretical lens. To this end, a nationally representative, random digit dialing (RDD) survey was conducted in Singapore. Path analyses show that SNS interactions with friends are positively related to both bonding and bridging social capital. The former is linked with greater job mobility, the latter with entrepreneurship, and both are associated with more job-related information. SNS interactions with business contacts are directly positively related to job-related information and entrepreneurship. For mobile phones, interactions with friends are positively related to social capital, job information and entrepreneurship. Professional networking is associated with more bridging social capital, job information and job mobility. Bonding capital is found to be linked with greater job mobility, while bridging capital has a positive relationship with both entrepreneurship and job mobility.

  • Despite the growing amount of mobile peer-to-peer (P2P) payment applications available on mobile app stores, these applications are still in their infancy and have yet to see mass adoption. This study aims to explore the factors that influence the adoption of such mobile P2P payment applications by using a large-scale data set based on the tracking of users' actual mobile application usage behavior. Our main findings reveal that the duration of each session that users use of traditional bank application has a significant relationship with their adoption of mobile P2P payment applications. In addition, we explore the social aspect of such mobile P2P payment applications by analyzing their social network applications usage and found that the amount of social network service applications used and usage duration positively impacted one's adoption of mobile P2P payment applications. These findings have important theoretical and practical implications for stakeholders of mobile P2P payment solution providers as well as intermediaries/banks who provide their own payment applications to their customers.

  • Social Network Analysis is an increasingly important part of a broader 'toolbox' of evaluation methods available to R&D policymakers to support decision-making. The aim of this research is to be an accessible, 'beginner's guide' to social network theory and application in the area of mobile telecommunication research and development (R&D) decision-making. This research suggests the methodology of investigation into new technology, and the methodology suggested by this research is believed to be a meaningful first step toward the establishment of the information analysis structure, which is in desperate need.

  • Recently, Mobile Social Network Game market has grown rapidly because Smart devices has been spreading to many people and improving performance. Push notification, which is a success factor of the mobile social network game brought about stress to the user. However, there is no study on push notifications in the mobile social network game; it was difficult to understand for the use of push notifications. The Games of Kakao talk platform has various push notification system and provides detailed descriptions. On the other hand, the game linked to Facebook has minimal push notification system. In the future, if game companies develop push notification system by the characteristics of user, mobile social network games be able to derive the user's use continuously.

  • Given the prevalence of mobile social network services (SNS) such as Facebook and Kakaotalk, it has become important to understand user's continuance behavior in a mobile SNS environment. Although trust and privacy concerns play a key role in SNS users' decision-making processes, most studies on SNS have shed little light on the effects of trust and privacy concerns on SNS continuance intention. In this regard, this paper developed an integrated model to deeply understand the key antecedents of user's continuance intention to use mobile SNS by incorporating trust and privacy concerns into extended expectation-confirmation model. The proposed research model was tested by using survey data collected from 170 users who have experience with Kakaotalk. The findings of this study found that the proposed theoretical framework provides a statistically significant explanation of the variance in continuance intention of mobile SNS. The analysis results indicate that trust serves as the salient antecedent of continuance intention to use mobile SNS. However, it was found that privacy concerns negatively influence trust, whereas it is not significantly related to continuance intention of mobile SNS. The theoretical and practical implications of the findings were described.

  • With the development of information technologies and the wide spread of smart devices, the number of users of social network services has increased exponentially. Studies that identify user preferences and recommend similar users in these social network services have been actively done. In this paper, we propose a new scheme to recommend social network friends with similar preferences through the moving pattern analysis of mobile users. The proposed scheme removes the meaningless trajectories via companions, short time trajectories, and repeated trajectories to determine the correct user preference. The proposed scheme calculates user similarity using the meaningful trajectories and recommends users with similar preferences as friends. It is shown through performance evaluation that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing schemes.
