A Study on Zero Pay Image Recognition Using Big Data Analysis

  • The 2018 Seoul Zero Pay is a policy actively promoted by the government as an economic stimulus package for small business owners and the self-employed who are experiencing economic depression due to COVID-19. However, the controversy over the effectiveness of Zero Pay continues even after two years have passed since the implementation of the policy. Zero Pay is a joint QR code mobile payment service introduced by the government, Seoul city, financial companies, and private simple payment providers to reduce the burden of card merchant fees for small business owners and self-employed people who are experiencing economic difficulties due to the economic downturn., it was attempted in the direction of economic revitalization for the return of alleyways[1]. Therefore, this study intends to draw implications for improvement measures so that the ongoing zero-pay can be further activated and the economy can be settled normally. The analysis results of this study are as follows. First, it shows the effect of increasing the income of small business owners by inducing consumption in alleyways through the economic revitalization policy of Zero Pay. Second, the issuance and distribution of Zero Pay helps to revitalize the local economy and contribute to the establishment of a virtuous cycle system. Third, stable operation is being realized by the introduction of blockchain technology to the Zero Pay platform. In terms of academic significance, the direction of Zero Pay's policies and systems was able to identify changes in the use of Zero Pay through big data analysis. The implementation of the zero-pay policy is in its infancy, and there are limitations in factors for examining the consumer image perception of zero-pay as there are insufficient prior studies. Therefore, continuous follow-up research on Zero Pay should be conducted.

Efficient Video Service Providing Methods for Mobile of Indoor AP Terminals (실내 AP간 단말 이동에 따른 효율적인 동영상 서비스 제공 방안)

  • The visual motivation between AP devices is NTP-based visual motivation through the access of the Internet through the internal wired LAN, but this has several seconds of visual difference in hundreds of milliseconds (msec) depending on the network. The frame for the output of the video will vary depending on the application, but usually 24 (image) frames are output to the screen in one second. Therefore, the visual synchronization between peripheral devices can be performed through the adjacent moving camera device, not the wired method. The programming method of generating API for synchronization command when creating an application for visual synchronization and delivering it to AP through MAC may differ from the time in synchronization command according to the environment of the operating system at the transmission side and the situation of the buffer queue of the MAC. Therefore, as a method to solve this problem, the renewal of visual information in the device driver terminal controlling MAC can be much more effective.

  • 해양 관측과 위성 원격탐사를 이용하여 시공간적으로 다양하게 변하는 생태 어장 환경 및 선박 관련 자료를 획득할 수 있다. 이번 연구의 주요 목적은 야간 불빛 위성 자료를 이용하여 광범위한 해역에 대한 어선의 위치 분포를 파악하는 딥러닝 기반 모델을 제안하는 것이다. 제안한 모델의 정확성을 평가하기 위해 야간 조업 어선의 위치를 포함하고 있는 AIS(Automatic Identification System) 정보와 상호 비교 평가 하였다. 이를 위해, 먼저 AIS 자료를 획득 및 분석하는 방법을 소개한다. 해양안전종합시스템(General Information Center on Maritime Safety & Security, GICOMS)으로부터 제공받은 AIS 자료는 동적정보와 정적정보로 나뉜다. 동적 정보는 일별 자료로 구분되어있으며, 이 정보에는 해상이동업무식별번호(Maritime Mobile Service Identity, MMSI), 선박의 시간, 위도, 경도, 속력(Speed over Ground, SOG), 실침로(Course over Ground, COG), 선수방향(Heading) 등이 포함되어 있다. 정적정보는 1개의 파일로 구성되어 있으며, 선박명, 선종 코드, IMO Number, 호출부호, 제원(DimA, DimB, DimC, Dim D), 홀수, 추정 톤수 등이 포함되어 있다. 이번 연구에서는 선박의 정보에서 어선의 정보를 추출하여 비교 자료로 사용하였으며, 위성 자료는 구름의 영향이 없는 깨끗한 날짜의 영상 자료를 선별하여 사용하였다. 야간 불빛 위성 자료, 구름 정보 등을 이용하여 야간 조업 어선의 불빛을 감지하는 심층신경망(Deep Neural Network; DNN) 기반 모델을 제안하였다. 본 연구의결과는 야간 어선의 분포를 감시하고 한반도 인근 어장을 보호하는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Demand Forecasting Model for Bike Relocation of Sharing Stations (공유자전거 따릉이 재배치를 위한 실시간 수요예측 모델 연구)

  • The public bicycle of Seoul, Ttareungyi, was launched at October 2015 to reduce traffic and carbon emissions in downtown Seoul and now, 2023 Oct, the cumulative number of user is upto 4 million and the number of bike is about 43,000 with about 2700 stations. However, super growth of Ttareungyi has caused the several problems, especially demand/supply mismatch, and thus the Seoul citizen has been complained about out of stock. In this point, this study conducted a real time demand forecasting model to prevent stock out bike at stations. To develop the model, the research team gathered the rental·return transaction data of 20,000 bikes in whole 1600 stations for 2019 year and then analyzed bike usage, user behavior, bike stations, and so on. The forecasting model using machine learning is developed to predict the amount of rental/return on each bike station every hour through daily learning with the recent 90 days data with the weather information. The model is validated with MAE and RMSE of bike stations, and tested as a prototype service on the Seoul Bike Management System(Mobile App) for the relocation team of Seoul City.

A study on the applications and prospects of big data in the field of digital dental healthcare (디지털 덴탈 헬스케어 분야에서의 빅데이터 활용 전망에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the applications and prospects of big data in digital dental healthcare. Methods: The study included 30 participants in the dental field (dentists, technicians, professors, and graduate students). From June 25 to 30, 2023, the contents of the study were thoroughly explained, consent was obtained from the research subjects, and a questionnaire was administered via an internet service. The questionnaires of 28 participants who responded completely were used for analysis. The collected data were statistically processed using IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 22.0 (IBM). Results: The use of big data in digital dental healthcare, digital dental health system, mobile dental health, dental health analysis, and telehealthcare were all heavily surveyed, with an average score of 3.97 or higher on a 5-point Likert scale. The areas where big data can be utilized in digital dental healthcare are as follows. The utilization rate for three-dimensional digital product development via linkage with big data systems and industrial field manufacturing technology was found to be 4.11±0.67, and the analysis of trends by age in the occurrence of various oral diseases was found to be 4.00±0.98. Conclusion: In the future, research into the viability of big data's success in the medical data field, which is directly related to human life, is needed. Additionally, social policies and regulations regarding big data-related information and standards in dental healthcare are necessary.

A Study for Implementation of Autonomous Maritime Radio Devices using LMX2571 (LMX2571을 활용한 자율해상무선기기 기술 구현에 관한 연구)

  • Even after the introduction of Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS), many maritime accidents occur. A method of transmitting a rescue signal when a person falls into the water from a ship is currently being researched and developed in various ways, but no products have been developed that use frequencies allocated for maritime mobile service. Accordingly, in this study, we designed and produced a man-over-board (MOB) device by applying Group B AMRD technologies, which were adopted through the latest revision of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). In addition, a receiver and user interface were built to verify the performance of the transmitter, and we confirmed that it can be used in conjunction with existing electronic charts. This MOB device satisfies the general and technical requirements of Group B AMRD using AIS technology and uses integrated components for miniaturization for easy portability in a maritime environment. We expect that it will achieve excellent AIS communication and be essential in rapid response and safety in emergency scenarios.

Establishment of Bus Priority Signal in Real-Time Traffic Signal Control (실시간신호제어시스템에서의 버스우선신호 알고리즘 정립 (중앙버스 전용차로를 대상으로))

  • Recently due to the increase of cars and city life, the traffic congestion has worsened. It Is particularly worse in the center of the metropolis. Within the general public means, the public transport buses have the advantage of being more cheap, accessible and mobile. But as there is no separate lane for buses, the collision of cars and buses are creating damage to public service. In order to solve this situation, the bus priority signal system has been introduced to reduce the bus travel time and improve its services. The purpose of this study is to establish bus priority signal algorithm which builds bus efficiency under the real-time traffic signal control system and to analyze the effect of it. As the green time was calculated against real time (under the real-time traffic signal control system), compared to existing bus priority signal there was a reduction in cross street loss. The modified cycle was used to maintain signal progression. A case study was carried out using VISSIM simulation model. In result of this study, we found that there was a decrease in bus travel time despite some evidence of car delays and compared to existing bus priority signal the delay of dishonor could be reduced dramatically. The analysed result of person delay using MOE, is that there is evidence that when bus priority signal is in effect, the person delay is reduced.

Design of IoT Gateway based Event-Driven Architecture for Intelligent Buildings. (IoT 게이트웨이 기반 지능형 건물의 이벤트 중심 아키텍쳐 설계)

  • The growth of mobile devices in Internet of Things (IoT) leads to a number of intelligent buildings related IoT applications. For instance, home automation controlling system uses client system such web apps on smartphone or web service to access the home server by sending control commands. The home server receives the command, then controls for instance the light system. The gateway based RESTful technology responsible for handling clients' requests attests an internet latency in case a large number of clients' requests submit toward the gateway increases. In this paper, we propose the design tasks of the IoT gateway for handling concurrency events. In the procedure of designing tasks, concurrency is best understood by employing multiple levels of abstraction. The way that is eminently to accomplish concurrency is to build an object-oriented environment with support for messages passing between concurrent objects. We also investigate the performance of event-driven architecture for building IoT gateway using node.js on one side and communication protocol based message-oriented middleware known as XMPP to handle communications of intelligent building control devices connected to the gateway through a centralized hub. The Node.JS is 40% faster than the traditional web server side features thread-based approach. The use of Node.js server-side handles a large number of clients' requests, then therefore, reduces delay in performing predefined actions automatically in intelligent building IoT environment.

The Effect of the Context Awareness Value on the Smartphone Adopter' Advertising Attitude (스마트폰광고 이용자의 광고태도에 영향을 미치는 상황인지가치에 관한 연구)

  • Advertising market has been facing new challenges due to dramatic change in advertising channels and the advent of innovative media such as mobile devices. Recent research related to mobile devices is mainly focused on the fact that mobile devices could identify users'physical location in real-time, and this sheds light on how location-based technology is utilized to achieve competitive advantage in advertising market. With the introduction of smartphone, the functionality of smartphone has become much more diverse and context awareness is one of the areas that require further study. This work analyses the influence of context awareness value resulted from the transformation of advertising channel in mobile communication market, and our research result reflects recent trend in advertising market environment which is not considered in previous studies. Many constructs has intensively been studied in the context of advertising channel in traditional marketing environment, and entertainment, irritation and information are considered to be the most widely accepted variables that has positive relationship with advertising value. Also, in smartphone advertisement, four main dimensions of context awareness value are recognized: identification, activity, timing and location. In this study, we assume that these four constructs has positive relationship with context awareness value. Finally, we propose that advertising value and context awareness value positively influence smartphone advertising attitude. Partial Least Squares (PLS) structural model is used in our theoretical research model to test proposed hypotheses. A well designed survey is conducted for college students in Korea, and reliability, convergent validity and discriminant validity of constructs and measurement indicators are carefully evaluated and the results show that reliability and validity are confirmed according to predefined statistical criteria. Goodness-of-fit of our research model is also supported. In summary, the results collectively suggest good measurement properties for the proposed research model. The research outcomes are as follows. First, information has positive impact on advertising value while entertainment and irritation have no significant impact. Information, entertainment and irritation together account for 38.8% of advertising value. Second, along with the change in advertising market due to the advent of smartphone, activity, timing and location have positive impact on context awareness value while identification has no significant impact. In addition, identification, activity, location and time together account for 46.3% of context awareness value. Third, advertising value and context awareness value both positively influence smartphone advertising attitude, and these two constructs explain 31.7% of the variability of smartphone advertising attitude. The theoretical implication of our research is as follows. First, the influence of entertainment and irritation is reduced which are known to be crucial factors according to previous studies related to advertising value, while the influence of information is increased. It indicates that smartphone users are not likely interested in entertaining effect of smartphone advertisement, and are insensitive to the inconvenience due to smartphone advertisement. Second, in today' ubiquitous computing environment, it is effective to provide differentiated advertising service by utilizing smartphone users'context awareness values such as identification, activity, timing and location in order to achieve competitive business advantage in advertising market. For practical implications, enterprises should provide valuable and useful information that might attract smartphone users by adopting differentiation strategy as smartphone users are sensitive to the information provided via smartphone. Also enterprises not only provide useful information but also recognize and utilize smarphone users' unique characteristics and behaviors by increasing context awareness values. In summary, our result implies that smartphone advertisement should be optimized by considering the needed information of smartphone users in order to maximize advertisement effect.

Twitter Issue Tracking System by Topic Modeling Techniques (토픽 모델링을 이용한 트위터 이슈 트래킹 시스템)

  • People are nowadays creating a tremendous amount of data on Social Network Service (SNS). In particular, the incorporation of SNS into mobile devices has resulted in massive amounts of data generation, thereby greatly influencing society. This is an unmatched phenomenon in history, and now we live in the Age of Big Data. SNS Data is defined as a condition of Big Data where the amount of data (volume), data input and output speeds (velocity), and the variety of data types (variety) are satisfied. If someone intends to discover the trend of an issue in SNS Big Data, this information can be used as a new important source for the creation of new values because this information covers the whole of society. In this study, a Twitter Issue Tracking System (TITS) is designed and established to meet the needs of analyzing SNS Big Data. TITS extracts issues from Twitter texts and visualizes them on the web. The proposed system provides the following four functions: (1) Provide the topic keyword set that corresponds to daily ranking; (2) Visualize the daily time series graph of a topic for the duration of a month; (3) Provide the importance of a topic through a treemap based on the score system and frequency; (4) Visualize the daily time-series graph of keywords by searching the keyword; The present study analyzes the Big Data generated by SNS in real time. SNS Big Data analysis requires various natural language processing techniques, including the removal of stop words, and noun extraction for processing various unrefined forms of unstructured data. In addition, such analysis requires the latest big data technology to process rapidly a large amount of real-time data, such as the Hadoop distributed system or NoSQL, which is an alternative to relational database. We built TITS based on Hadoop to optimize the processing of big data because Hadoop is designed to scale up from single node computing to thousands of machines. Furthermore, we use MongoDB, which is classified as a NoSQL database. In addition, MongoDB is an open source platform, document-oriented database that provides high performance, high availability, and automatic scaling. Unlike existing relational database, there are no schema or tables with MongoDB, and its most important goal is that of data accessibility and data processing performance. In the Age of Big Data, the visualization of Big Data is more attractive to the Big Data community because it helps analysts to examine such data easily and clearly. Therefore, TITS uses the d3.js library as a visualization tool. This library is designed for the purpose of creating Data Driven Documents that bind document object model (DOM) and any data; the interaction between data is easy and useful for managing real-time data stream with smooth animation. In addition, TITS uses a bootstrap made of pre-configured plug-in style sheets and JavaScript libraries to build a web system. The TITS Graphical User Interface (GUI) is designed using these libraries, and it is capable of detecting issues on Twitter in an easy and intuitive manner. The proposed work demonstrates the superiority of our issue detection techniques by matching detected issues with corresponding online news articles. The contributions of the present study are threefold. First, we suggest an alternative approach to real-time big data analysis, which has become an extremely important issue. Second, we apply a topic modeling technique that is used in various research areas, including Library and Information Science (LIS). Based on this, we can confirm the utility of storytelling and time series analysis. Third, we develop a web-based system, and make the system available for the real-time discovery of topics. The present study conducted experiments with nearly 150 million tweets in Korea during March 2013.
