Strategic Framework for $Web^2$ Mobile Marketing

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and present a strategic framework for mobile Internet marketing in the $Web^2$ environment. The $Web^2$ mobile Internet marketing is characterized by services, such as augmented reality and social network services. Considering the changes in the effects and types of advertisements in the mobile Internet, few studies of mobile advertisements have been conducted thus far in the $Web^2$ environment, including the cloud computing environment. Accordingly, this research aims to identify the relationships between importance and satisfaction and to uncover the characteristics of mobile advertisements through smart phones using the IPA (Importance-performance Analysis) methodology in the $Web^2$ environment. To induce the minimum required characteristics of a mobile advertisement in terms of the importance and satisfaction of IPA, Kano's model is applied to this analysis. The study also probes the relationships between the overall satisfaction and factors of each dimension of IPA through a regression analysis. As a result, this study presents four types of $Web^2$ mobile Internet marketing strategies. It was also confirmed that the maintenance reinforcement factors of the IPA dimension affect the degree of overall satisfaction. This study has implications for businesses and researchers preparing $Web^2$ mobile services and marketing.

스마트폰의 UI/UX 향상을 위한 상황인식 프레임워크 개발 및 응용 (Context-aware Framework and Applications for Improving UI and UX of Smartphones)

  • With the recent advance in smartphones, users are allowed to use mobile applications anytime anywhere, and change their way to interact with smart environment and people. As a result, the need for developing context-aware applications on smartphones has a great attention from users and developers. This paper proposes a context-aware framework for supporting UI/UX of smartphones. The proposed framework collects a wide range of sensory data from smartphones and allows developers to analyze and model context models for their desired apps. In addition, it also supports real-time inference within the apps to make them to adapt to context. In order to show effectiveness of the proposed framework, we introduce two smartphone apps: context-aware home screen and automatic detection of smartphone problem use. Therefore, we expect that the proposed framework will help developers easily implement their apps with respect to context-awareness.

An Unified Representation of Context Knowledge Base for Mobile Context-Aware System

  • To facilitate the implementation of a wide variety of context-aware applications based on mobile devices, general-purpose context-aware framework that applications can use by calling is needed. The context-aware framework is a middleware that performs the sensing, reasoning, and retrieving based on the knowledge base. The knowledge base must systematically represent the information required on the behavior of the context-aware framework, such as context information and reasoning information. It must also provide functions for storage and retrieval. To date, previous research on the representation of the context information have been carried out, but studies on the unified representation of the knowledge base has seen little progress. This study defines the knowledge base as the unified context information, and proposes the UniOWL, which can do a good job of representing it. UniOWL is based on OWL and represents the information that is necessary for the operation of the context-aware framework. Therefore, UniOWL greatly facilitates the implementation of the knowledge base on a context-aware framework.

  • 최근, 동적 환경 하에서 움직이는 이동로봇을 위한 인지에 기반 한 운항계획 방법론이 제안되었고, 이를 고정 장애물만이 존재하는 공간 속에서 모의 실험한 결과가 제시되었다 [1]. 본 논문에서는 이를 고정 장애물만이 아닌 시간적/공간적 장애물을 포함하는 동적 환경 하에서도 적용 가능한 방법으로 확장한 언어지도 기반 운항계획법을 제안하고, 제안된 알고리즘의 타당성 보이기 위하여 컴퓨터 모의실험 결과를 나타낸다.

  • Recently Mobile Software Applications are developed in various languages and stored in App Store. App Users selectively use appropriate apps for the owned hardware. In other words, it depends on the kinds of operating systems of the apps whether to use or not to use the applications in various languages. The apps should be differently implemented according to the kind of the user's device, though they provide the same functions. To solve these problems, it is necessary to define an independent function specification method which is not dependent to a specific system environment. In this paper, the Mobile Application Developing Framework is suggested, which incorporates all of the development process. Standardized models are proposed which can be used in the analysis and design steps. In implementation phase, a technique for cross framework design is suggested so as to implement a platform dependent mobile app.

능동형 콘텐츠 지원을 위한 OMA DRM 프레임워크의 확장 (Extending the OMA DRM Framework for Supporting an Active Content)

  • 무선 인터넷 통신의 빠른 성장으로 차세대 이동 단말들에서 이미지, 음악, 비디오 및 응용들과 같은 무선 디지털 콘텐츠들의 배포가 가능하게 되었다. 불법 복사 방지, 사용 권한 제어, 인증 기능이 없는 상태에서 이동 단말이 빠른 속도로 통신 채널을 확대하기 위한 주요 수단이 되면, 인증되지 않은 이동 단말을 통해 무선 디지털 콘텐츠는 불법적으로 복사, 편집, 배포된다. 본 논문은 일반적인 OMA DRM v2.0의 목적과 기능에 대해서 살펴본다. OMA는 모바일 DRM을 위한 공개 표준을 개발하고 있는 유일한 곳이다. 다음으로 능동형 콘텐츠의 특징에 대해서 소개하고, 능동형 콘텐츠와 수동형 콘텐츠의 차이에 대해서 설명한다. 능동형 콘텐츠를 빠르게 재생하기 위한 OMA 기반 DRM 프레임워크를 제안한다. 본 프레임 워크에는 콘텐츠 부분 암호화를 위한 DCF 확장, 콘텐츠 암호화 키 관리, 능동형 콘텐츠를 위한 렌더링 API가 포함된다. 실험 결과는 제안한 방법을 통해 QoE를 만족할 수 있는 정도로 충분히 빠르게 능동형 콘텐츠를 렌더링 할 수 있음을 보여 준다 본 프레임워크는 이동 단말 환경을 위해 제안된 것이지만, 휴대용 재생기, 셋탑 박스, 개인 컴퓨터에서도 적용할 수 있다.

  • 최근 높은 휴대성과 이동성을 특징으로 하는 모바일 도메인에서 사용자의 상황정보를 이용한 모바일 상황인식 서비스에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 모바일 상황인식 서비스들은 사용자의 상황정보를 모바일 기기로부터 수집 및 분석하여 추론 시스템을 통해 상황을 추론해야 한다. 그러나 모바일 도메인의 높은 이동성으로 인해 상황에 적합한 추론 결과를 얻기에 어려움이 있다. 또한, 잘못된 추론 결과를 수정 및 적응하기 위한 체계적인 방법에 대한 연구가 부족하다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 소프트웨어 사이버네틱스 기반 피드백 개념을 적용한 체계적인 프로세스 모델을 제시한다. 또한 피드백 프로세스 모델을 적용, 설계 및 구현한 MADA(Monitoring, Analysis, Determinating, Adaptation) 프레임워크를 제시한다. 이를 통해 정확한 상황 추론이 가능한 적응적 모바일 상황인식 서비스 개발 환경을 구축할 수 있으며 추론 규칙의 체계적 관리가 가능하다.

A Gateway and Framework for Telematics Systems Independent on Mobile Networks

  • In this letter, we analyze the problems with the existing telematics service systems that have been dependently developed and provided on a specific mobile network infrastructure. Then, we suggest methods to solve the problems and propose an architecture of the gateway and framework to implement our methods. We also verify the effectiveness of the suggested architecture through a comparison with an existing telematics system. With this architecture, it is possible to develop service applications without knowledge of the underlying mobile network technology and the system integration methods.

  • Mobile Government is one of the new and important developments in e-government. The promise of m-government to provide greater access to government information is progressing in many developed and developing countries. Current Mobile Government does not exploit the full potential of available technology. Research shows there is a lack of a perfect killer application [2][1]. Firstly, this paper begins with an overview of e-gov and m-gov. In this context, this paper aims to present a framework to find killer applications in M-government to which researchers must pay attention and develop suitable way to perform according to different countries' contexts.

이동통신 서비스 개발을 위한 유망기술 발굴 프레임워크 (A Technology Mining Framework in Developing New Wireless)

  • In this paper, we propose a technology mining framework for mobile communication industry. We develop a two phase approach of new technology identification and service enhancement. The new technology identification process consists of R&D issues analysis, technology theme design, and emerging technology sampling. On the other hand, existing service enhancement process has technology landscaping, keyword based search, and technological growth analysis. By implementing these two phase frameworks, we develop a technology portfolio for mobile communication industry.
