  • 현재 모바일 기기의 보급률에 따라 1인 1모바일 기기의 시대가 열리고 있다. 그만큼 모바일 기기가 인간의 생활 깊은 곳까지 자리 잡고 있는 시대이다. 하지만, 넘쳐나는 새로운 모바일 기기들 때문에 기존에 있던 기기들은 버려지거나 집안에서 잠자고 있는 추세이다. 개인이 가지고 있는 모바일 기기로 한 개의 서버를 구축하면, 블로그나 트위터, 페이스북과 같은 기존 서비스들의 틀에서 벗어나 자신만의 개성 있는 여러 웹 서비스 들을 만들 수 있을 것이라 판단된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 단순한 고정형 서버가 아닌 모바일 기기만의 특성을 고려하고, 활용할 수 있는 방안을 연구하였다.

An Approach for Designing a UMTS and CDMA2000 Dual Standard Compatible Baseband ASIC

  • The Third Generation (3G) cellular mobile communication systems aim at providing higher data rates, improved quality of service, support for multimedia applications and global roaming. Cdma2000 and Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS) have emerged as two leading 3G standards in USA and European countries, respectively. Both the standards are capable of delivering high bandwidth data, voice and multimedia services to users of mobile equipment, but are not directly interoperableand are not available across different geographic areas, due to which global roaming is not possible in true sense of using single mobile equipment. However, both UMTS and cdma2000 are based on wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) as the access method. Due to this, there exist some inherent commonalities between them. In this paper we will try to exploit the commonalities between the two standards in order to design an ASIC, which can provide dual standard capability. This paper discusses the physical layer aspects of the two standards and proposes an approach to design an ASIC which can be mapped to baseband processing part of the physical layer and is capable of delivering for either of the two aforementioned standards.

건설장비와 농기계에서 배출되는 연도별 대기오염 배출량 변화추세 (Annual Trends of Air Pollution Emission from Construction and Agricultural Equipments)

  • The annual air pollution emissions from construction and agricultural equipments were estimated from 1987 through 2000. The annual numbers and operation hours of 5 major construction equipments (Excavator, Bulldozer, Loader, Fork lift, Crane) and 3 major agricultural equipments (Power Tiller, Agricultural Tractor, Combine) were investigated for emission estimation. And monthly variation factors of operation hours of construction equipment were investigated too. The NO$_{x}$ emission from construction equipment have been gradually increased since 1987 to 1997, but sharply decreased as -45% in 1998 due to economic crisis in Korea. The NO$_{x}$ emission was estimated as 64,300 ton/year from construction equipment, and as 23,300 ton/year from agricultural equipment in 2000.000.

  • The government has been operating the long-term care insurance since 2008. In June 2010, the government manual wheelchairs, electric beds, manual beds, mattresses prevent pressure ulcers, mobile tub, bath lifts, including six items were changed to rental-only item. For the successful settlement of welfare equipment rental system, The efforts to prevent inconvenience of welfare equipment user's and improvement of the system for the activation is needed. The main object of this study is to identify the factors affecting satisfaction of welfare equipment rental and seek to proposals of revitalizing equipment rental system.

  • Security-related issues in mobile communications are increasing. The security requirements of mobile communications for the mobile users include authentication of the mobile user, the data confidentiality, the data confidentiality and the location privacy of mobile user. These services require security features compatible with the wireline networks. However, wireless networks have many restrictions compare to wireline networks such as the limited computational capability of mobile equipment and limited resource(bandwidth) between a mobile user and a fixed network. So, security features for IMT-2000 are designed to meet the limited capacity. In this paper, we analyze the required security features and mechanism, and design network access security feature effective for IMT-2000 Systems. The design includes security functions allocation to each system. Finally, discuss the computational power of each system based on at]coated functions to it

레이저 검지기를 이용한 이동식 다차로 속도위반 알고리즘 연구 (A Study on Development of Mobile Multi-lane Speed Enforcement System With a Laser Detector)

  • In order to overcome the limitations of the mobile speed system for 1 lane, this study is used a multi-laser beam to develop a mobile speed measuring system, using a multi-phase beam. By using multi-laser beam, least squares algorithms and speed error processing algorithms were developed to improve speed accordancy and speed error rates compared to conventional mobile speed meters using a single laser beam. A field test showed that 80.0 percent of 3 lane and 87.0 percent of 4 lane were appropriate for the mobile speed system. With the development of the mobile speed measuring system, it is expected to dramatically reduce the accidents caused by the speed of traffic. It is also expected to effectively operate equipment and manage the cost by improving manpower and providing improved enforcement accuracy, by contributing positively to public institution and public affairs.

Empirical Investigation of the Relationship between the Operational Competence of Service Providers and the Use and Adoption of Mobile Commerce

  • This study models the operational competence of mobile service providers as an endogenous factor that presumably impacts the mobile commerce (m-commerce) adoption of consumers and examines the relationship between the perceptions of consumers toward the operational performance of m-commerce providers and their m-commerce adoption likelihood. Quantitative research is applied with data collected from wireless Internet consumers in South Korea. The data is analyzed using factor analysis and structural equation modeling methods. The findings suggest that the operational competence of m-commerce providers is a significant antecedent to the m-commerce use and adoption of consumers in Korea. In this environment, the operational competence of mobile service providers in managing facilities, equipment, systems and technology plays a central role in enhancing m-commerce use and adoption. Based on the results, important managerial implications are discussed.

  • As non-road mobile pollutants such as construction equipment are emerging as the main cause of air pollutants emission, construction equipment regulations are gradually strengthening. Research was conducted by correcting the emission coefficient to calculate and predict air pollutant emissions of construction equipment, but it did not reflect site variables such as field and equipment conditions that affect actual emissions. This study derived an Artificial Neural Network emission prediction model based on the actual emission data of excavators and trucks measured at the site and proposed a platform to predict the emission of air pollutants at the site according to the working size and conditions. Through this, it is possible to establish an eco-friendly process plan using a model from the construction plan.

  • In mobile industry, using a metal frame of devices is rapidly increased for thin and stylish designs. However, fabricating metal is one of the difficult processes because the sophisticated control of equipment is required during the whole machining time. In this study, we present an efficient multivariate monitoring procedure for the metal frame process in mobile device manufacturing. The effectiveness of the proposed procedure is demonstrated by real data from the mobile plant in one of the leading mobile companies in South Korea.

골전도 피드백 보상에 의한 휴대전화 음질 향상 (The Voice Quality Improvement by Bone Conduction Feedback Compensation in Mobile Phone)

  • 현대사회를 살아가는 사람들은 버스나 지하철과 같은 대중교통에서나 백화점이나 할인점 같은 다수의 사람이 모이는 환경에서 순전히 타의에 의해 온갖 소음에 노출된다. 이런 환경에서 휴대전화나 PMP 등 개인 휴대용 단말기 사용이 늘어나면서 공공장소에서 소음 문제는 점점 심각해지고 있다. 사람들은 소음환경 속에서 휴대기기를 이용해 원활한 정보교환을 위해 일반적으로 소음보다 15 dB이상 큰 음압으로 휴대기기를 구동하고 있다. 이러한 휴대기기의 음압을 측정해보면 110 dB까지 발생하고 있으며, 이렇게 발생한 음압은 사용자에게 소음성 난청을 유발시키고, 주변사람에게 또 다른 소음문제를 발생시킨다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 골전도 시스템을 이용한 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 휴대전화에 일반스피커와 함께 골전도 스피커와 골전도 마이크를 사용해 피드백을 통한 보상을 하였고, 이 방법에 의해 주변 소음의 영향을 줄이고 휴대전화 음질 향상하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법으로 휴대전화 사용자 주변의 소음에 대한 영향을 줄이고 통화 음질을 향상해 약 17 dB의 성능 향상효과를 확인하였다.
