The smart tourism service provides services such as travel planning and tour guides to tourists using key technologies of the 4th industrial revolution, such as the Internet of Things, communication infrastructure, big data, artificial intelligence, AR/VR, and drones. We are developing smart tourism services such as recommended travel products, my travel itinerary, tourism information, and chatbots for tourists through the smart tourism app. In this paper, we develop a smart tourism service system that provides real-time location-based tourism information and weather information to tourists. The smart tourism service system consists of a smart tourism app, a smart tourism information system, and an IoT data collection device. The smart tourism information system receives weather information from the IoT data collection device installed in the tourist destination. The location-based smart tourism service is provided as a smart tourism app in the smart tourism information system according to the Beacon's UUID in the IoT data collection device. The smart tourism information system stores the Beacon's UUIDs received from tourists and provides a safe hiking service for tourists.

This paper presents a new geographic distributed hash table (GDHT) for MANETs or Mesh networks, where virtual geographic protocol is used. In previous wort GDHT is applied to a network scenario based on two dimensional Cartesian coordinate system. Further, logical data space is supposed to be uniformly distributed. However, mobile node distribution in a network using virtual geographic routing is not matched to data distribution in GDHT. Therefore, if we apply previous GDHT to a virtual geographic routing network, lots of DHT data are probably located at boundary nodes of the network or specific nodes, resulting in long average-delay to discover resource (or service). Additionally, in BVR(Beacon Vector Routing) or LCR(Logical Coordinate Routing), because there is correlation between coordinate elements, we cannot use normal hash function. For this reason, we propose to use "geographic hash function" for GDHT that matches data distribution to node distribution and considers correlation between coordinate elements. We also show that the proposed scheme improves resource discovery efficiently.

A greedy forwarding algorithm is one of the most suitable solutions for routing in vehicular ad-hoc networks. Compared to conventional routing protocols for mobile ad-hoc networks, greedy forwarding based routing protocols maintain only local information of neighbors instead of per-destination routing entries, and thus they show better performance in highly-mobile vehicular ad-hoc networks. With greedy forwarding, each node learns its geographical position and periodically broadcasts a beacon message including its position information. Based on the position information, each node selects a neighbor node located closest to the destination node as the next forwarder. One of the most serious problems in greedy forwarding is the lost link problem due to the mobility of nodes. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm to reduce the lost link problem. The proposed algorithm aims to find an efficient and stable routing path by taking account of the position of neighbors and the last beacon reception time. Our simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the legacy greedy algorithm and its variants.

Healthcare application system has been actively researched to apply WSN technology to healthcare area with a mobile sensor node of low cost, low power, and small size. Sensor node has the problem for transmission range of RF power and time delay of the wireless routing connectivity between sensor nodes. In this paper, we proposes a new method utilizing mobile sensor nodes with relay sensor nodes for quick network routing changing using query technique in healthcare system. A query processor to control and manage the routing changing of sensor nodes in a wireless sensor network was designed and implemented. The user's PC transmits the beacon message which will change the quick link routing according to activity status of patient in wireless sensor network. We describe the implementation for query protocol that is very effective of power saving between sensor nodes.
Nowadays, the tracking technology of Quadrant Detector will become actual by new micro devices. Based on the past filed data of the reception experiment with COMETS satellite, we have studied on new device (AD8302, phase difference detector) was acquired and suspect its abilities. In 1998, we have developed a Quadrant Detector for mobile to track a weak signal from satellite on Ka band of COMETS. The Quadrant Detector is comprised of four dedicated feed components for reception under an environment of Nakagami - Rician fading, and one transmission and reception feed component. We were successful in receiving a 23 GHz beacon signal from ICE transponder of the COMETS and succeeded in tracking the satellite from a moving vehicle at speeds of approximately 10 ~ 20 Km/h on paved roads. In 2018, with new device AD8302, we have verified new QD system and performed a simulation, based on the past filed experiment. This new device shall be improving the tracking abilities from mobile body on the earth to the multimedia satellite.

Geographic routing has attracted many researcers with no need for routing table to forward packet in mobile ad hoc networks. Previously, some literatures have mentioned how to improve the performance via simulation results. However, they didn't address the impact of various mobility models and beacon interval, which is used to maintain recent position information for nodes. In this paper, we introduce well-known geographic routing protocol called as GPSR and conduct simulation to identify the impact of these parameters. Even though GPSR shows acceptable performance in most cases, sometimes its performance becomes worse than what we expect.

In today's society, the majority of people use smartphones, and mobile ordering and payment systems for their convenience are gaining their attention. The mobile payment market is on the rise, with over 71% of the market that is already formed in China. Many mobile payment markets are growing in Korea, which is a system that is provided only in large franchises. In this paper, we propose a mobile ordering and payment system using short-range wireless communication technology that can be easily used not only in franchises but also in the small businesses, and for the convenience of users in modern society to make a system that enables ordering and payment through mobile to communicate between the devices developed by short range wireless communication technology, smartphone and the main server.
Recently, it is being held festival according to regional and seasonally cultural feature in nationwide. Especially, local festivals are being provided festival information services a variety of forms for tourists depending on development of information device. However, systems to provide notification information of local festivals are not persistent but mostly short term service. In this paper, we propose a mobile commerce and information notification system through festival information alerts and festival surrounding information using local based on service. In addition, we implement a festival information notification system that applies to beacon based on bluetooth in order to inform them on diverse festival. Finally, we take into account in terms of design of system using object-oriented design modeling to improve reusability of proposed system.
There are continuos tendencies toward that foreign tourists increase. Since 55% of them visit Korea without data communication for saving the communication costs, they can not utilize a variety of O2O services through QR/NFC/Beacon. There have been some researches to provide a smart map service based on the micro webpage technology even without data communication. But, they do not suggest how the templates are retrieved into their smart-phones. In this paper, we describe a mobile tourist information system for those who have no data communication. We utilize the micro webpage technology to develop a system for market promotion, shopping goods, and tourist maps. What matters in the micro webpage techniques is that the templates should be already downloaded to the users' smart phones before using it. The preceeded research did not mention the problem. We suggest a scheme that tourists obtain the tremplates in the information offices on the spot through Wi-Fi. We describe the details of the system, and evaluate the data overhead of templates and the time to be downloaded. We show that the overheads are endurable, which means that the system would be working well.
