The Effect of Additional Elements X on Magnetic Properties of CoCrTa/Cr-X Thin Film (CoCrTa/Cr-X 자성박막의 자기적성질에 미치는 첨가원소 X의 영향)

  • The Effects of additional element X (X = Si, Mo, Cu, Gd) on magnetic properties and microstructure of Co-1Zat%Cr-Zat%Ta/Cr-X magnetic thin film were investigated. The thickness changes of Cr-X underlayer and CoCrTa magnetic layer were in the range of $1000~2000\AA$ and $200~800\AA$. respectively. Substrate temperatures were controlled from $100^{\circ}C$ to $200^{\circ}C$. Increase of coercivity by about 100~200 Oe was observed in CoCrTa/Cr-X thin films compared to those without additional X element. Cu was the most effective additional element for increasing coercivity. CoCrTa/Cr-Cu thin film shows relatively high coercivity in $1500\AA$ underlayer thickness and $600\AA$ magnetic layer thickness.

Effects of Healing Agent on Crack Propagation Behavior in Thermal Barrier Coatings

  • A thermal barrier coating (TBC) with self-healing property for cracks was proposed to improve reliability during gas turbine operation, including structural design. Effect of healing agent on crack propagation behavior in TBCs with and without buffer layer was investigated through furnace cyclic test (FCT). Molybdenum disilicide ($MoSi_2$) was used as the healing agent; it was encapsulated using a mixture of tetraethyl orthosilicate and sodium methoxide. Buffer layers with composition ratios of 90 : 10 and 80 : 20 wt%, using yttria stabilized zirconia and $MoSi_2$, respectively, were prepared by air plasma spray process. After generating artificial cracks in TBC samples by using Vickers indentation, FCTs were conducted at $1100^{\circ}C$ for a dwell time of 40 min., followed by natural air cooling for 20 min. at room temperature. The cracks were healed in the buffer layer with the healing agent of $MoSi_2$, and it was found that the thermal reliability of TBC can be enhanced by introducing the buffer layer with healing agent in the top coat.

  • A new Fe-based amorphous compound powder was prepared from Fe-Si-B amorphous powder by crushing amorphous ribbons as the first magnetic component and Fe-Cr-Mo metallic glassy powder by water atomization as the second magnetic component. Subsequently by adding organic and inorganic binders to the compound powder and cold pressing, the new Fe-based amorphous compound powder cores were fabricated. This new Fe-based amorphous compound powder cores combine the superior DC-Bias properties and the excellent core loss. The core loss of 500 kW/$m^3$ at $B_m$ = 0.1T and f = 100 kHz was obtained When the mass ratio of FeSiB/FeCrMo equals 3:2, and meanwhile the DC-bias properties of the new Fe-based amorphous compound powder cores just decreased by 10% compared with that of the FeSiB powder cores. In addition, with the increasing of the content of the FeCrMo metallic glassy powder, the core loss tends to decrease.

  • Ternary Mo-Cu-N films were deposited on Si wafer substrates with various copper contents by magnetron sputtering method using Mo target and Cu target in $Ar/N_2$ gaseous atmosphere. As increasing $N_2$ pressure, the microstructure of Mo-N films changed from ${\gamma}-Mo_2N$ of (111) having face-centered-cubic (FCC) structure to $\delta$-MoN of (200) having hexagonal structure. Detailed the microstructures of the Mo-Cu-N coatings were studied by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and field emission transmission electron microscope. The results indicated that the incorporation of copper into the growing Mo-N coating led to the $Mo_2N$ and MoN crystallites were more well-distributed and refined and the copper existed in grain boundary. Ternary Mo-Cu-N films had a composite microstructure of the nanosized crystal crystalline ${\gamma}-Mo_2N$ and $\delta$-MoN surrounded by amorphous $Cu_3N$ phase.

RF MEMS 기법을 이용한 US PCS 대역 FBAR BPF 개발

  • In This paper, we developed 1.96 GHz air gap type FBAR BPF using ZnO as piezoelectric sputtered by RF magnetron at room temperature. FBAR BPF was fabricated by sputtering bottom electrode (Al), ZnO as piezoelectric and top electrode (Mo) on Si wafer one by one with RF magnetron sputter, then Si was dry etched to make an air hole. XRD test result of fabricated FBAR BPF showed that ZnO crystal was well pre-oriented as (002) and sigma value of XRC was 1.018. IL(Insertion loss) showed excellent result as 1 dB.

Thermal Stability, Mechanical Properties and Magnetic Properties of Fe-based Amorphous Ribbons with the Addition of Mo and Nb

  • The metallic glass ribbons of $[(Fe_xCo_{1-x})_{0.75}B_{0.2}Si_{0.05}]_{96}Mo_4$ (x = 0, 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 at.%) and $[(Fe_xCo_{1-x})_{0.75}B_{0.2}Si_{0.05}]_{96}Nb_4$ (x = 0, 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 at.%) were obtained by melt spinning with 25-30 ${\mu}m$ thickness. The thermal stability, mechanical properties and magnetic properties of Fe-Co-B-Si based systems were investigated. The values of thermal stability were measured using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), including glass transition temperature ($T_g$), crystallization temperature ($T_x$) and supercooled liquid region (${\Delta}T_x=T_x-T_g$). These amorphous ribbons were identified as fully amorphous, using X-ray diffraction (XRD). The mechanical properties of Febased samples were measured by nano-indentation. Magnetic properties of the amorphous ribbons were measured by a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The amorphous ribbons of $[(Fe_xCo_{1-x})_{0.75}B_{0.2}Si_{0.05}]_{96}Mo_4$ (x = 0, 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 at.%) and $[(Fe_xCo_{1-x})_{0.75}B_{0.2}Si_{0.05}]_{96}Nb_4$ (x = 0, 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 at.%) exhibited soft magnetic properties with low coercive force ($H_c$) and high saturation magnetization (Ms).

  • To extend the knowledge of triple bonding between group 6 transition metal and heavier group 14 elements, the structural and bonding aspects of ($η^5-C_5H_5$)$(CO)_2$M≡ER (M = Cr, Mo, W; E = Si, Ge, Sn, Pb) are investigated by hybrid density functional calculations at the B3PW91 level. Substituent effects are also investigated with R = H, Me, $SiH_3$, Ph, $C_6H_3-2,6-Ph_2$, $C_6H_3-2,6-(C_6H_2-2,4,6-Me_3)_2$, and $C_6H_3-2,6-(C_6H_2-2,4,6- iPr_3)_2$.

  • Si FEA 로부터 tip의 표면을 Ti금속으로 silicidation한 새로운 2극형 Ti-실리사이드 FEA를 제작하고 이의 전계방출 특성을 Si FEA의 경우와 비교하였다. 양극과 음극간의 거리를 10$\mu\textrm{m}$로 유지하고 $10^{-8}$Torr의 고진공 상태에서 측정한 실리사이드 FEA의 turn-on전압은 약 40V로, 전계방출전류와 정상상태 전류 변동율은 150V의 바이어스 아래에서 약 3x$10^{-2}$ $\mu$A/tip와 0.1%min로 나타났다. Ti-실리사이드 FEA는 Si FEA에 비해 낮은 turn-on 전압, 높은 전계방출전류 및 고내구특성을 나타내었다.

  • 자동차의 엔진밸브 스프링으로 사용되는 Si-Cr 스프링강의 영구 변형 저항성과 내피로성이 우수한 고강도강을 개발하기 위하여 탄소함량을 증대시키고 Mo, V, W와 같은 합금원소를 기존의 SAE 9254 스프링강에 첨가하여 개발강을 제조했다. SEM및 EDX가 부착된 TEM을 이용하여 미세조직을 관찰했고, 크립시험 및 피로시험기를 이용하여 스프림의 영구 변형 저항성 및 스프링의 내피로성을 조사했다. 실험결과, 개발강은 피로 특성치는 기존강과 동등 수준이면서 인장강도가 기존강의 것보다 10%가 더높은 2100MPa 급의 고강도를 나타내었으며 또한 영구 변형 저항성도 현저하게 개선되었는데 이는 W, Mo의 첨가로 인해 템퍼링시에 세멘타이트의 성장이 억제되어서 세멘타이트의 석출물이 미세하게 되었기 때문이다.

A study on the DLTS spectrum and interface trap in MOS (MOS의 DLTS 신호특성과 계면트랩에 관한 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터를 근본으로 한 Deep Level Transient Spectroscopy (DLTS) 장치를 구성하고 이를 이용하여 P형 Si MOS 캐패시터의 Si- $SiO_{2}$ 계면상태를 측정하여 트랩의 활성화에너지와 포획단면적 그리고 계면트랩밀도를 조사하였다. 실리콘 band gap내에 연속적으로 분포하고 있는 계면트랩을 상세히 고찰하기 위해 quiescent 전압의 위치를 변화시키면서 0.1volt의 미소한 펄스를 MOS에 주입하여 그 각각이 분리된 트랩이라고 생각되는 매우 좁은 에너지 영역에서 나오는 DLTS신호를 측정하였다. 또한 quiescent 전압의 위치, 주입펄스전압의 진폭 그리고 rate window의 선택이 DLTS 신호에 미치는 영향 등을 조사하였다. 측정결과, 계면트랩의 활성화에너지는 가전자대로 부터 0.16-0.45eV이고 포획단면적은 1.3*$10^{-19}$~3.2*$10^{-15}$$cm^{2}$, 계면트랩밀도는 1.8*$10^{10}$ ~ 2.5*$10^{11}$$cm^{-2}$e$V^{-1}$로 측정되었다.
