  • Mn-Zn ferrite powders prepared by an alcoholic dehydration method. Vacuum casting, a kind of wet forming process was examined with this powders. As binders, polyethylene glycol and polyvinyl alcohol were used. In order to estimate this conditions, fracture morphology, densities of green and sintered bodies and the microstructure were observed. High density and homogeneous microstructure in sintered bodies were obtained in the case of 0.1 wt% PEG or 0.5 wt% PVA.

  • Effect of ultrasonic-wave irradiation on the Mn-Zn ferrite powder suspension prepared by solid-state reaction and alcoholic dehydration methods was investigated. Size distribution and morphology of the powders prepared at different temperature were examined as a function of irradiation time. It was observed that the powders were reduced in size by ultrasonic energy through distinct routes.

MnZn계 페라이트-고무 복합체의 마이크로파대역에서의 전기적 특성 및 전자파 흡수 특성 (Electical and Electomagnetic wave Absorbing Properties of MnZn Ferrite-Rubber Composites in Microwave Frequencies)

  • MnZn계 페라이트 실리콘 고무 복합체를 MnZn 페라이트의 체적비플 0.1에서 0.4까지 변화시키면서 제작하여 주파수 대역 1 GHz-lO GHz 범위에서 전기적 특성및 전파흡수 특성을 조사하였다. MnZn 페라이트의 체적비가 증가할 수록 유전율과 투자율의 증가를 보였다 반사 손실 흡수체의 두께가 1/4파장에 해당하는 주파수 대역에서 극대치가 나타났으며, 극대치는 MnZn 페라이트의 체적비가 증기할 수록 저주파 수로 이동하는 현상을 나타내었다 또한 흡수체의 두께가증가함에 따라서 반사손실 극대치는 저주파수 대역으로 안동하였다 페라이트 고무 복합체의 경우에 전파 흡수체의 사용주파수 대역에 따라서 요구되는 전파 흡수 효과를 얻기 위해서는 페라이트 체적비를 조절해야 함을 보여 주였다.

습식합성에 의한 Mn-Zn Ferrite의 생성반응에 관한 연구 (Formation Reaction of Mn-Zn Ferrite by Wet Process)

  • Formation reaction of Mn-Zn ferrite depending on various synthetic conditions of wet process was investigated using FeCl2.nH2O(n≒4), MnCl2.4H2O, ZnCl2 as starting materials. A stable intermediate precipitate was formed by the addition of H2O2. And the precipitate was hard to transform to spinel phase of Mn-Zn Fe2O4. Single phase of Mn-Zn Fe2O4 spinel was obtained above 8$0^{\circ}C$ reaction temperature. The powder had spherical particle shape and 0.02~0.05${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ particle size. Fe(OH)2 solid solution, -FeO(OH) solid solution, -FeOOH, Mn-Zn Fe2O4 spinel were formed with air flow rate 180$\ell$/hr. However, single phase of Mn-Zn Fe2O4 spinel with cubic particle shape and 0.1~0.2${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ particle size was formed with synthetic conditions of 8$0^{\circ}C$ and 90 munutes. The particle shape of the -FeOOH was needle-like.

열처리 조건에 따른 (Mn, Zn)-ferrite의 전자기적 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Electromagnetic Property of (Mn, Zn)-Ferrite as the Condition of Heat-treatment)

  • 높은 투자율과 낮은 손실특성을 지닌(Mn, Zn)ferrite의 전자기적 특성은 소결공정과 소결분위기에 따라 상당히 다양하게 나타난다. 본 연구에서는(Mn, Zn)ferrite를 소결시킬 때의 승온속도와 냉각속도에 따른 초투자율 특성과 미세구조의 관계에 관하여 고찰하였다. 승온속도의 영향을 고찰하기 위하여 spinel ferrites 생성 및 결정입 성장 거동에 가장 중요한 온도인 800~120$0^{\circ}C$의 범위에서 속도를 변화시켰고, 냉각속도 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 1100~80$0^{\circ}C$ 온도범위를 택하였다. 열처리 온도범위 800~120$0^{\circ}C$에서 승온속도가 증가함에따라 초투자율이 7$^{\circ}C$/min까지는 증가했으나 그 이상의 승온속도에서는 오히려 초투자율이 감소하였다. 또한 1100~80$0^{\circ}C$ 온도범위에선 냉각속도가 증가될수록 초투자율이 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 치밀화 및 투자율을 높이기 위하여 첨가된 CaO, SiO2, V2O5의 분포상태를 분석한 결과, 이들 첨가물들은 입자와 입계를 따라 균일하게 분포하는 것으로 나타났다.

An experimental process has advanced by conventional ferrimagnetism manufacturing that was prepared by standard ceramic techniques. The XRD pattern of all doped sample were observed spinel and secondary phase. The density of sample were measured nearly constant value. As increased the additive, resistivity, initial permeability and real component of the series complex permeability increased with setting limits each other. In case of Mn-Zn ferrite excess doped with them, resistivity, initial permeability and real component of the series complex permeability decreased and magnetic loss increased in proportion to increasing the additive.

  • 폐알칼리망간전지로부터 침출과 공침반응을 이용하여 Mn-Zn ferrite 분말을 제조하기 위한 기초실험을 수행하였다. 100g/L 광액 농도 3.0M $H_2SO_4$, $60^{\circ}C$ 및 교반속도 200 rpm의 조건에서 과산화수소 30ml를 첨가하여 얻어진 아연과 망간의 침출율은 각각 97.9%, 93.9% 이상이었으며, 침출용액을 가지고 반응시간, 반응온도, $O_2$ 가스량을 조절하며 공침반응을 진행하였다. 공침반응 결과 pH 12, $80^{\circ}C$, $O_2$ 1.3L/min, 교반속도 400 rpm의 조건에서 Mn-Zn ferrite를 저온 합성할 수 있었다. 합성된 Mn-Zn ferrite분말은 $0.143{\mu}m$의 구형 ferrite로서 80 emu/g의 포화자화값을 가지고 있었다.

  • We studied effects by Re$_2$O$_3$(R=Dy, Gd, Ho) addition on the properties of Mn-Zn ferrite. The doping concentration range from 0.05 wt% to 0.25 wt%. All samples were prepared by standard fabrication of ceramics. With increasing the rare earth oxides, specific density and initial permeability increased on the whole. But, the tendencies such as upper result had the measured value on limitation and characteristics saturated or decreased properties after that. In case of excessive addition of additive beyond some level, initial permeability properties of ferrite have gone down in spite of anomalous grain. With increasing the content of additive, both the real and imaginary component of complex permeability and the magnetic loss (tan$\delta$) increased. Because the increased rate of real component had higher than imaginary component, magnetic loss increased none the less for increasing the real component related with magnetic permeability. But, the magnetic loss of ferrite doped with the rare earth oxides was lower than that of Mn-Zn ferrite at any rate. The small amount of present rare earth oxides in Mn-Zn ferrite composition led to enhancement of resistivity in bulk, and more so in the grain boundary. It was seem to be due to the formation of mutual reaction such as between iron ions and rare earth element ions.

Nd2O3 첨가에 따른 Mn-Zn ferrite의 고주파 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the high frequency properties of Mn-Zn ferrite with Nd2O3 addition)

  • The effects of$ Nd_2$$O_3$addition on the properties of Mn-Zn ferrite were investigated in the doping concentration range from 0.05 to 0.25 wt%. All samples were prepared by standard fabrication of ferrite ceramics. With increasing the Neodymium oxides, specific density and initial permeability increased on the whole. But, the tendencies such as upper result had the measured value on limitation and characteristics saturated or decreased properties after that. With increasing the content of Neodymium oxides. both the real and imaginary component of complex permeability and the magnetic loss(tan$\delta$) increased. Because reason that magnetic loss increases is high ratio that a real department increases than imaginary department. Magnetic loss increased none the less for increasing the real department related with magnetic permeability. But, the magnetic loss of ferrite doped with the Neodymium oxides were lower than that of none doped Mn-Zn ferrite. The small amount of percent Neodymium oxides in Mn-Zn ferrite composition led to enhancement of resistivity in bulk, and more so in the grain boundary.
