This work is to investigate the combustion characteristics and flame propagation of the LPG (liquified petroleum gas) and gasoline fuel. In order to characterize the combustion processes of the fuels, the flame propagation and combustion characteristics were investigated by using a constant volume combustion chamber The flame propagation of both LPG and gasoline fuels was investigated by the laser deflection method and the high-speed Schlieren photography. The result of laser deflection method show that the error of measured flame propagation speed by laser method is less than 5% compared with the result of high-speed camera. The flame propagation speed of the fuel is increased with the decrease of initial pressure and the increase of initial temperature in the constant volume chamber. The results also show that the equivalence ratio has a grate effect on the flame speed, combustion pressure and the combustion duration of the fuel-air mixture.
Steel corrosion in reinforced concrete (RC) structures is a critical problem to structural safety and many researches are being actively conducted on developing methods to maintain the required performance of the RC structures during their intended service lives. In this study, concrete mixture proportioning technique through genetic algorithm (GA) for RC structures under carbonation, which is considered to be serious in underground site and big cities, is investigated. For this, mixture proportions and diffusion coefficients of $CO_2$ from the previous researches were analyzed and fitness function for $CO_2$ diffusion coefficient was derived through regression analysis. This function based on the 12 experimental results consisted of 5 variables including water-cement ratio (W/C), cement content, sand percentage, coarse aggregate content per unit volume of concrete in unit, and relative humidity. Through genetic algorithm (GA) technique, simulated mixture proportions were proposed for 3 cases of verification and they showed reasonable results with less than relative error of 10%. Finally, assuming intended service life, different exposure conditions, design parameters, intended $CO_2$ diffusion coefficients, and cement contents were determined and related mixture proportions were simulated. This proposed technique is capable of suggesting reasonable mix proportions and can be modified based on experimental data which consider various mixing components like mineral admixtures.
The application of fibers in concrete obviously enhances the properties of concrete, also the application of natural fibers in concrete is raising due to the availability, low cost and environmentally friendly. Besides, predicting the mechanical properties of concrete in general and shear strength in particular is highly significant in concrete mixture with fiber nanocomposite reinforced concrete (FRC) in construction projects. Despite numerous studies in shear strength, determining this strength still needs more investigations. In this research, Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) have been employed to determine the strength of reinforced concrete with fiber. 180 empirical data were gathered from reliable literature to develop the methods. Models were developed, validated and their statistical results were compared through the root mean squared error (RMSE), determination coefficient (R2), mean absolute error (MAE) and Pearson correlation coefficient (r). Comparing the RMSE of PSO (0.8859) and ANFIS (0.6047) have emphasized the significant role of structural parameters on the shear strength of concrete, also effective depth, web width, and a clear depth rate are essential parameters in modeling the shear capacity of FRC. Considering the accuracy of our models in determining the shear strength of FRC, the outcomes have shown that the R2 values of PSO (0.7487) was better than ANFIS (2.4048). Thus, in this research, PSO has demonstrated better performance than ANFIS in predicting the shear strength of FRC in case of accuracy and the least error ratio. Thus, PSO could be applied as a proper tool to maximum accuracy predict the shear strength of FRC.
This paper addresses a voice personality transformation algorithm which makes one person's voices sound as if another person's voices. In the proposed method, one person's voices are represented by LPC cepstrum, pitch period and speaking rate, the appropriate transformation rules for each Parameter are constructed. The Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) is used to model one speaker's LPC cepstrums and conditional probability is used to model the relationship between two speaker's LPC cepstrums. To obtain the parameters representing each probabilistic model. a Maximum Likelihood (ML) estimation method is employed. The transformed LPC cepstrums are obtained by using a Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) criterion. Pitch period and speaking rate are used as the parameters for prosody transformation, which is implemented by using the ratio of the average values. The proposed method reveals the superior performance to the previous VQ-based method in subjective measures including average cepstrum distance reduction ratio and likelihood increasing ratio. In subjective test. we obtained almost the same correct identification ratio as the previous method and we also confirmed that high qualify transformed speech is obtained, which is due to the smoothly evolving spectral contours over time.
It was verified that a speaker verification system improved its performances of EER by regularizing log likelihood ratio, using background speaker models. Recently the wireless mobile phones are becoming more dominant communication terminals than wired phones. So the need for building a speaker verification system on mobile phone is increasing abruptly. Therefore in this paper, we had some experiments to examine the performance of speaker verification based on mobile phone's voices. Especially we are focused on the performance variations in EER(Equal Error Rate) according to several background speaker's characteristics, such as selecting methods(MSC, MIX), number of background speakers, aging factor of speech database. For this, we constructed a speaker verification system that uses GMM(Gaussin Mixture Model) and found that the MIX method is generally superior to another method by about 1.0% EER. In aspect of number of background speakers, EER is decreasing in proportion to the background speakers populations. As the number is increasing as 6, 10 and 16, the EERs are recorded as 13.0%, 12.2%, and 11.6%. An unexpected results are happened in aging effects of the speech database on the performance. EERs are measured as 4%, 12% and 19% for each seasonally recorded databases from session 1 to session 3, respectively, where duration gap between sessions is set by 3 months. Although seasons speech database has 10 speakers and 10 sentences per each, which gives less statistical confidence to results, we confirmed that enrolled speaker models in speaker verification system should be regularly updated using the ongoing claimant's utterances.

$SF_6$ is the most commonly used insulating gas in electrical systems. But In these days $SF_6$ mixtures and alternative gas has been studied because of global warming. so although many studies have been carried out about binary gas mixtures with $SF_6$, few studies were presented about breakdown characteristics of $SF_6/N_2$ mixtures. At present study the breakdown characteristics of $SF_6/N_2$ mixtures in Non-uniform field was performed. In this paper, The simulation value are compared with experiment values. Streamer breakdown criterion was used for predicting breakdown voltage. For accurate simulation this simulation apply utilization factor using CST(computer simulation technology) EM $studio^{tm}$ program. AC breakdown experiments in non-uniform field was performed to compare with the breakdown simulation values. The pressure range of gas mixtures was 0.4 MPa to 0.7 MPa. The rod-plane was used and mixture ratio is $SF_6$ 20% : $N_2$ 80%. The gap lengths are 10mm to 70mm. As the pressure increase, this simulation value does not correspond to the experiment value. So this simulation need surface roughness factor. As a result of applying surface roughness factor this simulation decrease a relative error (|experiment value - simulation value| /simulation value).

A Gaussian sum filter (GSF) is proposed in this paper on simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) for mobile robot navigation. In particular, the SLAM problem is tackled here for cases when only bearing measurements are available. Within the stochastic mapping framework using an extended Kalman filter (EKF), a Gaussian probability density function (pdf) is assumed to describe the range-and-bearing sensor noise. In the case of a bearing-only sensor, a sum of weighted Gaussians is used to represent the non-Gaussian robot-landmark range uncertainty, resulting in a bank of EKFs for estimation of the robot and landmark locations. In our approach, the Gaussian parameters are designed on the basis of minimizing the representation error. The computational complexity of the GSF is reduced by applying the sequential probability ratio test (SPRT) to remove under-performing EKFs. Extensive experimental results are included to demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed techniques.
The analysis of specific impulse of the liquid rocket engine employing gas generator cycle with LOx/kerosene as propellant has been performed. The relative error of performance of 300 ton level engine is 0.1%s for specific impulse and 12% for optimal combustion pressure comparing with the published data. The difference of the performance model and the material property models of gas generator product gas are the presumed major reason of discrepancy. The optimal condition of 30 ton level engine is combustion pressure of 68 bar and mixture ratio of 2.2 for maximum specific impulse. This optimal condition can be changed by performance models.

It is definitely required to control dispersion of the rocket engine performance in order to accomplish the mission of launch vehicle successfully. We performed the dispersion analysis of gas generator cycle LRE (liquid rocket engine) accompanied with ANASYN. As a result, the vacuum thrust dispersion of the engine was $+5.34\%,\;-5.27\%$ and the mixture ratio deviated $+9.07\%,\;-9.82\%$ from the nominal value due to the errors of components and engine inlet condition of propellants. By applying the gas generator regulator only, the dispersion of the engine performance increases. Error in turbine efficiency is the most influential factor to the dispersion of engine performance.
This paper aims to develop a prediction model for the hardened properties of waste LCD glass that is used in concrete by analyzing a series of laboratory test results, which were obtained in our previous study. We also summarized the testing results of the hardened properties of a variety of waste LCD glass concretes and discussed the effect of factors such as the water-binder ratio (w/b), waste glass content (G) and age (t) on the concrete compressive strength, flexural strength and ultrasonic pulse velocity. This study also applied a hyperbolic function, an exponential function and a power function in a non-linear regression analysis of multiple variables and established the prediction model that could consider the effect of the water-binder ratio (w/b), waste glass content (G) and age (t) on the concrete compressive strength, flexural strength and ultrasonic pulse velocity. Compared with the testing results, the statistical analysis shows that the coefficient of determination $R^2$ and the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) were 0.93-0.96 and 5.4-8.4% for the compressive strength, 0.83-0.89 and 8.9-12.2% for the flexural strength and 0.87-0.89 and 1.8-2.2% for the ultrasonic pulse velocity, respectively. The proposed models are highly accurate in predicting the compressive strength, flexural strength and ultrasonic pulse velocity of waste LCD glass concrete. However, with other ranges of mixture parameters, the predicted models must be further studied.
