  • In the present work, the choice of the nano carbon black and optimum mixed ratio and effectiveness of the mixed carbon black to get a raw data for a manufacturing method of conductive complex board. Optimum mixed ratio of paper sludge & water was 1 : 2.5 for reformations. HB-41-Y was cheaper than Super-P with the single carbon black. Also electric conductivity of HB-41-Y($6.406{\times}10^{-2}\;{\Omega}cm^{-1}$) was about 6.5 times higher than Super-P($9.741{\times}10^{-3}\;{\Omega}cm^{-1}$) at 20 wt% carbon black. This time optimum mixture ratio of the paper sludge and the carbon black to be about 15 wt%, optimum mixed ratio HB-41Y and Graphite about 3:1 and its electric conductivity was $5.824{\times}10^{-2}\;{\Omega}cm^{-1}$.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the levels of antioxidant activities in some traditional and a few super food mixed rice. Amongst nine chosen samples, traditional five grains were analyzed and results revealed highest content of crude-protein ($8.05{\pm}1.11%$) and lowest crude-fat content ($1.74{\pm}0.29%$); however, the calories was found to be relatively low ($358.05{\pm}0.34kcal$) in the samples. Total polyphenols, flavonoids and tannins were extracted from nine samples with 80% methanol and biochemical activity was measured. The content of total polyphenols, flavonoids and total tannin was $206.5{\sim}452.0{\mu}g/mL$, $0.126{\sim}0.340{\mu}g/mL$, and $548.1{\sim}774.8{\mu}g/mL$, respectively. The traditional five grains showed the highest values except for DPPH radical scavenging activity. DPPH radical scavenging activity was 5 to 40.3% higher in eight samples than the traditional five grains sample. From these results, it is conjectured that a mixture of five grains, might exhibit equal or considerably higher effect as healthy diet when compared to super food. The results from this study would serve as basic data for the use of traditional mixed grains rice diet for good health.

  • The city means not only a geographical area as a role of the spatial boundary, but also a socio-economic place to communicate with each part. It requires various functions to get the income and activities. But city has a limitation of a available land to provide the required function and a sufficient space to supply the activity. Therefore, the development trend of city has not been to spread to the horizontal area any more and considered the vertical area. In addition, various functions put into a massive building because many people want to solve the daily requirements without spending time and cost. In this paper, it aimed at classifying the mixed-use building into function, circulation, relation between the public and private space and the building shape to provide the design information according to the development constraints such as land area, functional limitation, accessibility, etc. The classification of the mixed-use buildings is divided into four areas. The data are collected with foreign countries in Japan, Europe and US.

  • The present work explores the potential of wet air oxidation (WAO) for pretreatment of mixed lignocellulosic biomass to enhance enzymatic convertibility. Rice husk and wheat straw mixture (1:1 mass ratio) was used as a model mixed lignocellulosic biomass. Post-WAO treatment, cellulose recovery in the solid fraction was in the range of 86% to 99%, accompanied by a significant increase in enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose present in the solid fraction. The highest enzymatic conversion efficiency, 63% (by weight), was achieved for the mixed biomass pretreated at $195^{\circ}C$, 5 bar, 10 minutes compared to only 19% in the untreated biomass. The pretreatment under the aforesaid condition also facilitated 52% lignin removal and 67% hemicellulose solubilization. A statistical design of experiments on WAO process conditions was conducted to understand the effect of process parameters on pretreatment, and the predicted responses were found to be in close agreement with the experimental data. Enzymatic hydrolysis experiments with WAO liquid fraction as diluent showed favorable results with sugar enhancement up to $10.4gL^{-1}$.

  • In the recent years, the high strength concrete has increasingly been used according to extending market of tall buildings. However, Ministry of Land, transport and Maritime Affairs was established by law with an alternative plan after June 2008 because of the weakness of high strength concrete accompanied spalling phenomena in fire. The mix design of concrete has to properly meet standards which are the spalling resistance of concrete and limited temperature of steel reinforcement. The fire proof concrete mixed fiber has widely been used to meet spalling safety on the many construction sites, the most researches about the fire proof concrete mixed fiber had being carried out focused on fire resistance, compressive strength and cast in place of concrete. But the most important thing is column shortening used the fire proof concrete within the vertical members. In this paper, the fire proof concrete filled spalling safety standards was experimented by required material when the column shortening is revised between normal concrete and fire proof concrete mixed fiber and then the results have done a comparative analysis. Also, The paper aimed to indicate a basic data for revision of column shortening of fire proof concrete.

  • Carrier diffusion length in the light-sensitive material is one of the key elements in improving the light-current conversion efficiency of solar-cell devices. In this paper, we measured the carrier diffusion length in lead-halide perovskite ($MAPbI_3$) and mixed lead-halide ($MAPbI_{3-x}Cl_x$) perovskite devices using scanning photocurrent microscopy (SPCM). The SPCM signal decreased as we moved the focused laser spot away from the metal contact. By fitting the data with a simple exponential curve, we extracted the carrier diffusion length of each perovskite film. Importantly, the diffusion length of the mixed-halide perovskite was higher than that of the halide perovskite film by a factor of 3 to 6; this is consistent with the general expectation that the carrier mobility will be higher in the case of the mixed lead-halide perovskites. Finally, the diffusion length was investigated as a function of applied bias for both samples, and analyzed successfully in terms of the drift-diffusion model.

  • The appearance of COVID-19 virus has affected many aspects of our life. These include and not limited to social, financial and economic changes. One of the most important impacts is the economic effects. Many countries have taken actions to continue the teaching process through online teaching platforms. The students are expected to graduate during the next few semesters with certificates that include some online-completed courses and their graduation certificates are called mixed certificates. This paper considers graduation mixed certificates with some online courses and its impact on graduates seeking jobs. First, we study how well the mixed certificates are accepted by job market. In other words, how different companies, organizations and even governmental entities would accept such certificates when hiring. We study the perception of job market for such certificates for different learning fields. Secondly, we study how well the online courses are accepted by the students keeping in mind that these students are used to traditional face to face teaching. Finally, we paper our results and recommendations according to the collected data from the surveys. Some of the results show that about 60% of companies don't have policies to encourage hiring graduates with mixed certificates. Also, colleges are almost divided evenly between preferring face to face and preferring online teaching.

  • What motivates split-ticket voting in mixed electoral systems, where voters choose one party in district races and another party on the party list ballot? While much of the literature assumes strategic intent, three aspects commonly are overlooked: the competitiveness of district races, the presence of a district candidate from one's preferred party, and whether voters know the electoral threshold for party list seats. Furthermore, few studies disaggregate types of split-ticket voting (e.g. not voting for one's preferred party in a district vs. party list). Taiwan provides an intriguing case study for analysis, not only as a relatively new adopter of a mixed system, but also the presence of additional conditions that would encourage at least the consideration of a split ticket. Using survey data from the Taiwan's Election and Democratization Studies (TEDS) after the Taiwan's 2016 Legislative Yuan election, this analysis finds that knowing the threshold, the winner's margin, and the placement of a district candidate from one's preferred party all influence split-ticket voting among those with a partisan preference. However, closer inspection identifies a distinction between defecting from the district versus the party list. Evidence shows that district competitiveness and candidate placement influences defection from the district candidate, while the electoral threshold influences defection from the party list. The results add to our understanding of strategic and non-strategic incentives in mixed systems.
