Mixed Electrolytes of Organic Solvents and Ionic Liquid for Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Batteries

  • Mixed electrolytes formed by the combination of 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide (BMP-TFSI) ionic liquid and standard liquid electrolyte are prepared and characterized. Linear sweep voltammetry measurements demonstrate that these mixed systems exhibit a wide electrochemical stability window, allowing them to be suitable electrolyte for carbonaceous anode-based lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion cells composed of graphite anode and $LiCoO_2$ cathode are assembled using the mixed electrolytes, and their cycling performances are evaluated. The cell containing proper content of BMP-TFSI shows good cycling performance comparable to that of a cell assembled with organic electrolyte. The presence of BMP-TFSI in the mixed electrolyte contributes to the reduction of the flammability of electrolyte solution and the improvement of the thermal stability of charged $Li_{1-x}CoO_2$ in the electrolyte solution.

  • Nash Equilibrium (NE) is essential to investigate a participant's bidding strategy in a competitive electricity market. The transmission line constraints make it difficult to compute the NE due to causing a mixed strategy NE instead of a pure strategy NE. Computing a mixed strategy is more complicated in a multi-player game. The competition among multi-participants is modeled by a two-level hierarchical optimization problem. A mathematical programming approach is widely used in finding this equilibrium. However, there are difficulties to solving a mixed strategy NE. This paper presents two propositions to add heuristics to the mathematical programming method. The propositions are based on empirical studies on mixed strategies in numerous sample systems. Based on the propositions a new formulation is provided with a set of linear and nonlinear equations, and an algorithm is suggested for using the prepositions and the newly-formulated equations.

CTAB/TTAB 혼합계면활성제에 의한 Phenoxide 음이온의 가용화에 대한 연구 (Study on the Solubilization of Phenoxide Anion by Mixed Surfactant Systems of CTAB and TTAB)

  • CTAB/TTAB 혼합계면활성제 용액에서 Phenoxide 음이온의 가용화를 UV/Vis분광광도법을 이용하여 연구하였으며, 혼합계면활성제의 몰분율조성($$\alpha_{CTAB}$)에 따른 가용화상수(Ks)와 임계마이셀농도(CMC)의 변화를 측정하고 분석하였다. 또한 Phenoxide 음이온의 가용화에 영향을 미치는 n-펜탄을과 NaBr의 효과에 대하여 조사하였으며, 이러한 첨가제는 $K_s$와 CMC 값을 큰 폭으로 감소시키는 경향을 나타내었다·열역학적 고찰을 위하여 $K_s$ 값의 온도에 따른 변화를 측정하였으며, 온도에 따른 $K_s$ 값의 변화로부터 Phenoxide 음이온의 가용화에 대한 열역학 함수값(${\Delta}G^0_s$, ${\Delta}H^0_s$${\Delta}S^0_s$)을 계산하였다·그 결과 ${\Delta}G^0_s$${\Delta}H^0_s$은 측정한 범위 내에서 모두 음의 값을 그리고 ${\Delta}S^0_s$ 은 모두 양의 값을 나타내었다.

복합단지영 u-서비스 모델 개발 방법론 (A Development Methodology of the Ubiquitous Service Model for a Mixed-Use Complex in u-City)

  • 유비쿼터스 기술의 보급이 본격화됨에 따라 민간 주도적 u-서비스 개발이 활발히 추진되고 있다. 특히 다양한 생활공간으로 구성되어 상호 시너지효과를 목표로 개발되는 복합단지는 차별적인 서비스 제공을 목적으로 유비쿼터스 기술을 적극적으로 활용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 복합단지에 적용 가능한 u-서비스 개발 방법론을 제시하고자 한다. 복합단지의 u-서비스는 궁극적으로 수익성을 목적으로 하기 때문에 서비스 사용자가 유비쿼터스 기술로 제공되는 서비스로 인해 보다 많은 상거래 행위를 할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 복합단지 u-서비스 모델 개발 방법론은 우선적으로 u-서비스 개발을 위한 다양한 관점을 정의하고 이와 같은 관점들의 교차점에서 구체적인 u-서비스 요소를 도출하는 방법을 사용하고 있다. 다음으로 도출된 u-서비스 요소를 구성하여 u-서비스 풀(pool)을 설계하고 평가를 통해 최종적으로 도입할 u-서비스를 선정하는 과정으로 u-서비스 모델을 개발하고 있다. 제시된 u-서비스 개발 방법론은 복합단지의 u-서비스 풀을 체계적으로 발굴할 수 있는 기반을 제시함으로써 성공적인 복합단지형 u-서비스 구현에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Scheduling problem in Flexible Manufacturing Systems(FMS) is complex because of various situation of Manufacturing Systems. Especially, in case of short-term scheduling demanding high efficiency, low cost at short-period, efficient scheduling is a serious problem. To solve this problem, many dispatching rules are developed. But, it leave much to be desired, because real situation in shop floor is complex and real-time scheduling is needed in real manufacturing shop floor. In this paper, search algorithm that allocate different dispatching rules to each machine is presented to complement lack of dispatching rule and develop practical real-time scheduling system. The search algorithm is described in detail. First, algorithm detect machine breakdown, evaluate each dispatching rule. dispatching rules for each machine meeting performance criteria are ranked. The algorithm selects new dispatching nile for bottleneck machine. The effectivenes and efficiency of the mixed dispatching rule and search algorithm is demonstrated.

구조적 분석에 기초한 외란관측기의 설계 (Design of Disturbance Observer Based on Structural Analysis)

  • Disturbance observer (DOB) has been studied extensively and applied to many motion control fields during the last decades, but relatively few studies have been devoted to the development of analytic, systematic design methods for DOB itself, This paper thus aims to provide an analytic, systematic design method for DOB. To do this, DOB is structurally analyzed and the generalized disturbance compensation framework named robust internal-loop compensator (RIC) is introduced. Through this, the inherent equivalence between DOB and RIC is found, and the mixed sensitivity optimization problem of DOB is solved. Q-filter design is completely separated from the mixed sensitivity optimization problems of DOB although the proposed method has implicit .elation with Q-filter. Also, although the Q-fille. is separately designed with sensitivity function, the proposed DOB framework has the exactly same characteristic as the original DOB.

  • In mixed-model production systems, various models of products are produced alternately on the same production line. When the total number of models or the total production quantity is large, it takes a long time to determine the production sequence of the products. In this paper, we will show that in case of product rate variation problem (PRV) problem with nonidentical symmetric convex discrepancy function, an optimum sequence can be obtained by repeating an optimum sequence in a reduced subproblem.

GPS와 dead-reckoning을 이용한 항법시스템 설계 (Design of a navigation system using GPS and dead-reckoning)

  • In this paper, an integrated navigation system based on GPS(Global Positioning System) and Dead-Reckoning (DR) is designed. For the calibration of DR, a self-calibration method and a GPS-based calibration method are proposed. From the field-test results, it is shown that DR can be successfully calibrated by the two proposed calibration methods. Also, a cascaded filter approach and a mixed-measurement algorithm are employed for GPS/DR integration. By using the newly proposed mixed-measurement algorithm, it is shown in simulation that the position error becomes smaller than by using only DR even if the number of visible GPS satellites is less than 4.

  • This paper is concerned with a mixed control with aerodynamic fin and side thrust control applied to an agile missile using a dynamic inversion and a time-varying control technique. The nonlinear dynamic inversion method with the weighting function allocates the desired control inputs(aerodynamic fin and side thrust control) to achieve a reference command, and the time-varying control technique plays the role to guarantee the robustness for the uncertainties. The proposed schemes are validated by nonlinear simulations with aerodynamic data.

FPGA 구현을 통한 자이로의 혼합모드 연구 (A Study on the Mixed Mode of Gyros by FPGA Implementation)

  • In the three-axis control of satellites by using on-board actuators, gyros are usually used to measure the attitude angles and angular rates. The gyros are operated by electronic parts and mechanical actuators. The digital components of the electronic parts consist of largely FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) as one of the methods for VLSI(Very Large Scale Integrated) circuit design, while the mechanical parts provide output signal directly by mechanical actuation of a spinning rotor. In this research, a mixed mode of gyro is implemented in FGA. In addition to the hardware implementation, the simulation study was conducted by using the SABER for the mixed mode simulator. Results for the practical implementation of the satellite ACS (Attitude Control System) interfaced with the data processing are also presented to validate the FPGA implementation.
