  • Since 1939, Bupeyong was rapidly urbanized and industrialized for the purpose of constructing military logistics base of the empire of Japan. Based on Kyungin urban planning of 1940 and industrial land development plan of Kyeonggido, many military factories and arsenal were constructed, and great amount of housing were also built for their workers from 1939 to 1944. Although the initial urban planning was unfinished, urban change from rural area to military industrial city in the late Japanese colonial era, made identity of city of Bupyeong. Workers houses which built during five years vary in different size and type, and somewhat reflects discussions about housing attempts to solve the housing shortage. This study aims to analyze architectural characteristics of workers housing related with discussions of housing, and to evaluate its value as an industrial heritage which constitute the urban landscape of the industrial city of Bupyeong. Workers houses in Bupyeong were constructed by military factories, construction company, and Chosun housing administration, with land readjustment planning. As the war became serious, workers housing became smaller and simpler. Construction of workers housing was essential part of modern military industrial city, bupyeong, and many of workers housing are still remained whereas most of factories were demolished, thus workers housing of bupyeong has significant meaning as industrial heritage of Bupyeong.

수리가능한 군수품의 여유재고수준 결정기법 (The Method of Determinating the Spare Inventory Level in the Repairable Munition System)

  • This paper concerns the problem of deciding the rational spare inventory levels for efficient use of a limited defence budget and, at the same time, for enhancing the operation rate of equipement/weapons in the army. The system we are concerned has a finite number of repairmen at each base and the depot. After repair job has completed, the repaired items are returned to the base where they have originated. For the system, we identify the distribution of the total number of failed items which belong to a base and develope a method to find spare inventory levels of repairable items at each base to satisfy a specified minimum fill rate.

포탄의 꼬리날개가 기저항력에 미치는 영향에 대한 해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study on the Effect of the Tail Wing of a Projectile on the Base Drag)

  • Recently, research on projectiles with wings for precision guidance is actively underway. In this study, we analyzed how the tail fins attached to the projectile affect the base drag. Aerodynamic analysis was performed with RANS(Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes) equations using FLUENT, a commercial CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) code. Through the aerodynamic analysis, the base drag characteristics of the projectile by parameters (number, length, thickness, position, shape of tail fin) were investigated. The results of this study are expected to be applicable to aerodynamic design of tail fins mounted on projectiles.

공군기지의 C-UAS 센서 배치를 위한 다목적 최적화 모델 (Multi-objective Optimization Model for C-UAS Sensor Placement in Air Base)

  • Recently, there are an increased the number of reports on the misuse or malicious use of an UAS. Thus, many researchers are studying on defense schemes for UAS by developing or improving C-UAS sensor technology. However, the wrong placement of sensors may lead to a defense failure since the proper placement of sensors is critical for UAS defense. In this study, a multi-object optimization model for C-UAS sensor placement in an air base is proposed. To address the issue, we define two objective functions: the intersection ratio of interested area and the minimum detection range and try to find the optimized placement of sensors that maximizes the two functions. C-UAS placement model is designed using a NSGA-II algorithm, and through experiments and analyses the possibility of its optimization is verified.

  • 현행 군용항공기지법에 따라서 설정된 비행안전구역 밖에 위치한 건축물에는 동 법령이 적용될 수 없다. 또한 건축물의 허가제한조치는 특정 건축물을 대상으로 취해지는 조치가 아니라, 특정 지역이나 구역을 대상으로 계획행정의 차원에서 이루어지는 것이기 때문에, 특정 건축물에 대해서 허가제한조치를 발동하는 것은 여러 가지 차원에서 적절하지가 않다. 현행 법령의 규정만으로는 양 당사자간의 권리 충돌을 조정할 수가 없다고 보아야 하며, 건축하려고 하는 자가 적정한 대가를 지불하게 하는 방식 등을 통해서 비용과 편익의 비교가 가능하게 되는 방식을 모색하는 것이 바람직하다.

백령도 주둔 신세대 장병의 군급식 만족도 및 식행동 (Satisfaction of Foodservice and Eating Behavior of Male Military Personnel in Backryung-do)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide basic references in order to improve the quality of military foodservice by investigating the eating behavior, preferred items for improvement and foodservice satisfaction of male military personnel in Backrung do. A total of 213 male military personnel (66 sergeants, 44 corporals, 80 privates first class and 27 privates third class) responded to a survey questionnaire. Frequencies, t tests, analysis of variance, and Cronbach's alpha, were carried out by SPSS Win V.18.0. The results of the study were as follows. The satisfaction level of military foodservice was slightly below 3 out of 5 points, and Korean cuisine was the favorite food. Military male personnel preferred frying and stewing as their favorite cooking methods. Sixty-six percent of subjects answered that their favorite principal ingredients were meat and fish. Therefore, as young soldiers' taste preferences were westernized, proper nutrition education programs for good health are needed. Further, the current military dining environment should be changed into a quiet and neat atmosphere, with clean dishes, nutritious meal items, and quick and proper serving methods, etc. Based on the results above, military authorities should develop an adequate menu for the male military personnel at Backrung do military base that includes a variety of foods, and cooking methods.

적 공격시 공군기지에서의 최적 소방차 배치모형 연구 (A study of optimal firecar location models under enemy attack at airforce base)

  • This study deals with an optimal firecar location and allocation models under uncertain enemy attack at the airforce base. It allocates just one firecar on the runaway and the other firecars on the headquarter of firecar company in usual situation. It is possible for several facilities at the airforce base to be attacked simultaneously by missiles enemy air attacker, other things under uncertain enemy attack. We formulate two stochastic LP location-allocation models to deal with uncertainty. One model is to locate all firecars on one site like present situation. We generate a new firecar location with a weighted average method. We call this model "centralized allocation model". The other model is to distribute firecars on several possible sites. We call this model "distributed allcoation model". Finally, we compare two models with computer experimentations on 8 airforce bases.on 8 airforce bases.

단기추진제 저장수명에 미치는 안정제(DPA, $CaCO_3$) 첨가의 효과 (The Effect of Stabilizer(DPA, $CaCO_3$) Addition on the Shelf Life of the Single Base Propellant)

  • Nitrogen oxide gases which were produced by spontaneous reaction of nitrocellulose(NC) in the single base propellant accelerate the decomposition of propellant, and result in the reduction of shelf life. The amount of nitrogen oxide was reduced by the addition of 0.3wt% $CaCO_3$ to conventional stabilizer(DPA) and down of the solvent leaching temperature from $64^{\circ}C$ to $56^{\circ}C$, which extended the shelf life of the single base propellant as much as twice compare with commercial propellant. The perforation diameter increase of propellant from 0.64mm to 0.77mm could compensate for the drop of burning rate which was caused the addition of $CaCO_3$.

Zr-Ni계 지연관 결합체(K1) 저장수명 향상 (Storage Lifetime Improvement of Zr-Ni K1 Delay System)

  • The burning interruption between the initiator and the delay column in a Zr-Ni K1 delay system used for a K510 fuze occurs with long-time storage. About 10 % failure probability of 15-years stored delay systems shows the failure mode in open literature. This paper shows storage lifetime improvement results for the delay system through changing the single-base delay column into double-base ones and controlling the manufacturing processes especially the initial inclusion of humidity. The double-base delay columns was implemented by inserting one delay column of fast burning rates between the initiator and the previous delay column of slow burning rates. Accelerated aging tests of the delay systems with double-base columns, and then the firing tests were performed to evaluate the improved lifetime. The double-base delay columns shows improved storage lifetime of the delay system through preventing the failure mode.

  • 군 병력의 효율적 운용을 위한 정보공유의 수단으로서 높은 망 유연성을 제공할 수 있는 드론형 기지국이 최적의 플랫폼이 될 것으로 예상된다. 또한 넓은 대역폭을 활용 가능한 밀리미터파 주파수대역은 대용량 데이터를 송수신하는데 적합하지만 shadowing에 취약한 특성을 가지게 되는데, 자유롭게 고도를 조절할 수 있는 드론형 기지국의 특성을 활용하면 LoS를 안정적으로 확보하여 취약점을 상쇄할 것으로 기대된다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 요소가 반영된 드론형 기지국의 성능분석을 위한 모델링을 수행함으로써, 차후 군 통신망으로써 활용가능성이 기대되는 드론형 기지국의 성능평가에 대한 틀을 제공하고자 한다.
