  • Germany became a super-aged society which has the number of people aged 65 or older reached 19 percent of population in 1997. Similarly, there is a tendency in Korea to increase the number of older people coupled with an increase in the number of households of the senior citizen who lives alone due to a rapid change of family unit. Research on geriatric in Germany is being carried out in many different ways, like medical, welfare, and social aspects because of the fact that Germany is in the middle of a super-aged society. Therefore, analysis and evaluation of elderly care facilities in Germany will be used as a fundamental resource for overall planning of elderly care and welfare facilities which are expected to grow demand dramatically.

Also, it was confirmed that social support has a mediating effect in the relationship between the utilization of mobile-based social relations service and life satisfaction. However, the utilization of PC-based social relations services did not show to affect social support and life satisfaction. The book club program was designed to help people develop a reading habit and experience picture book bibliotherapy. The researcher hosted a picture book reading group between middle-aged and young participants, had individual interviews, and conducted a qualitative study to analyze research data and present implications. For middle-aged participants, the intergenerational book club was an opportunity to understand young people and their children and learn from the young people, and for young participants, it helped them understand middle-aged people and their parents and learn from the middle-aged people, allowing them to feel a sense of connection rather than a generation gap. In addition, positive effects of picture book bibliotherapy were seen while reducing stress and learning important lessons in life. The participants received help in forming a reading habit. This paper provides constructive suggestions for book clubs where different generations interact. It is hoped that through this study, intergenerational book clubs that can be used to understand other generations will be more popular and people will be able to discover the benefits of reading books including picture books and make reading a habit.

  • In recent years, as more and more middle-aged people who worked at companies are retiring, they are becoming interested in starting their own businesses, and the rate of middle-aged people starting businesses is increasing. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality and satisfaction of educational services and trust in educational institutions in providing entrepreneurship education to prospective entrepreneurs over the age of 40 who want to start a business, and to analyze the impact of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurship in the future. Afterwards, the goal is to establish an education strategy to improve the quality of entrepreneurship education. To achieve the purpose of the study, a hypothesis was established and an empirical analysis was conducted on educated prospective entrepreneurs and retirees over 40 years of age. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that confidence and reliability ultimately influence the factors that increase satisfaction with entrepreneurship education for middle-aged and older people. Satisfaction was found to play a meaningful role in trust. The research points out that entrepreneurship education institutions should provide education centered on the trainees rather than entrepreneurship education centered on support organizations. Moreover, due to the diversity of education, not only the content and method of education but also the education of employees working in supporting organizations is important.
