광조형법과 UV 포토리소그래피를 이용한 웨이브 마이크로펌프 미세 채널 제작 (Fabrication of Micro-channels for Wave-Micropump Using Stereolithography and UV Photolithography)

  • Micro-channels for a wave micropump have been fabricated using the Stereolithography and UV Photolithography. The micro-channel with a channel height of $500\;{\mu}m$ was fabricated with stereolithography. UV photolithography was used for producing micro-channels with a channel length less than $100\;{\mu}m$. The fabrication process data including spinning rpm, pre-bake and post-bake time, and develop time for single layer and multiple layer 3D micro-structures using SU-8 photo resist are experimentally found. A film mask printed with a 40,000 dpi laser printer was used for UV lithography and micro-structures in the order of tens of micrometers in dimension were successfully fabricated.

  • This paper presents the selection method o( the input current wave forms for the thrust force ripple of linear pulse motor (LPM). We have developed and tested a prototype 2-phase 4-poles LPM with the permanent magnet and its control driver. To obtain the thrust performance curve of LPM, the performance curve at the air gap and the thrust are calculated and estimated by the analytical method on the base of the magnetic equivalent circuit and the finite element method. And, the thrust characteristics at the static operation state are analyzed and experimented with the respect to the input wave forms such as the rectangular, the triangular micro-step and the sine micro-step wave forms to investigate the thrust ripple and the vibration effects of LPM.

연속터널에서 터널출구 미기압파를 저감 할 수 있는 스노우 쉘터 개발 (The development of snow shelter connecting serial tunnels for reducing the micro-pressure waves.)

  • There are many tunnels located apart short distance from each other in mountainous country like Korea. Serial tunnels are connected by snow shelter in many cases. This study presents some countermeasures against micro pressure wave at tile tunnel exit using snow shelter. Through 1/60 scale model laboratory test. we find that snow shelter with 3.6m slit and slit cover show the effect of reducing the micro pressure wave to about 60.5%.

고속철도에서 슬릿커버후드의 터널 미기압파 저감성능에 관한 연구(II) (Experimental Study on the Slit Cover Hood for Reducing the Micro Pressure Waves in High-speed Train-tunnel Interfaces)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고속철도 터널 입구에 슬릿 커버 후드를 적용하여, 고속열차 터널 진입시 터널 출구 쪽에서 방사되는 미기압파를 저감시키는데 있다. 경부고속철도 $107m^2$의 단면적을 갖는 슬라브 궤도 0.5 km 터널에 대하여 슬릿 커버 후드라는 구조물 대책을 마련하였다. 개발시험 결과는 터널 입구에만 후드를 설치했을 경우 미기압파가 최대 41.2 %가 저감되었으며, 터널 입구에 후드를 설치하고 출구에 $45^{\circ}$ 경사갱구를 설치했을 경우는 47.7 %가 저감되었다.

  • When a train passes a conventional tunnel at high speed, an environmental noise issue arises by pressure variation and micro-pressure waves at the exit of the tunnel. It is known that this issue can be reduced by using dummy tunnel duct on the tunnel entrance. We studied the variances of micro-pressure waves at the exit of tunnel and pressure variation within the tunnel, by altering surface area and length of the dummy tunnel duct. For analyze this train-tunnel relation problem, axi-simmetric steady compressible flow solver was used. Changing the length of the dummy tunnel duct can adjust pressure variation, changing the surface area of the dummy tunnel duct can adjust volume and pressure variation of the micro-pressure wave. Thus, optimized surface area and length of the dummy tunnel duct can simultaneously reduce environmental noise pollution by micro-pressure wave and issues by the pressure variation.

Design of a Valveless Type Piezoelectric Pump for Micro-Fluid Devices

  • The operation principle of a traveling wave rotary type ultrasonic motor can be successfully applied to the fluidic transfer mechanism of the micro-pump. This paper proposes an innovative valveless micro-pump type that uses an extensional vibration mode of a traveling wave as a volume transportation means. The proposed pump consists of coaxial cylindrical shells that join the piezoelectric ceramic ring and metal body, respectively. In order to confirm the actuation mechanism of the proposed pump model, a numerical simulation analysis was implemented. In accordance with the variations in the exciting wave mode and pump body dimension, we analyzed the vibration displacement characteristics of the proposed model, determined the optimal design condition, fabricated the prototype pump from the analysis results and evaluated its performance. The maximum flow rate was approximately $595\;{\mu}L/min$ and the highest back pressure was 0.88 kPa at an input voltage of $130\;V_{rms}$. We confirmed that the peristaltic motion of the piezoelectric actuator was effectively applied to the fluid transfer mechanism of the valveless type micro pump throughout this research.

정재초음파를 이용한 입자제어 시스템의 유한요소해석 (Finite Element Analysis of a Particle Manipulation System Using Ultrasonic Standing Wave)

  • Micro particles in fluid can be manipulated by using ultrasonic standing wave since the ultrasound makes particles move by means of its acoustic radiation force. This work concerns the micro particle manipulation system using ultrasonic standing wave which consists of a microchannel, a reflector, and an ultrasonic transduer. In the present system, the effects of the structural elements should be carefully considered to comprehend the system and find the optimal operational condition. In this investigation, finite element analysis was employed to analyze the system. Some interesting characteristics on the reflector thickness, the channel width, and the operational frequency were observed. Several experimental results were compared with the analytic results. Consequently, this work solidifies the importance of those system parameters and reveals the possibility of various applications of the particle manipulation using ultrasonic standing wave.

마이크로 제트엔진 배기플룸 주위 물 분사에 따른 장파장 적외선 신호특성 연구 (Study on the Characteristics of Long Wave Infrared Signal by Water Injection around the Exhaust Plume of the Micro-jet Engine)

  • 배기플룸 주위에 물을 분사할 경우 배기플룸에서 방출되는 장파장 적외선에 대한 특성을 알기 위하여 실험적인 방법으로 연구를 수행하였다. 배기플룸을 생성하기 위하여 마이크로 제트엔진을 사용하였으며, 배기노즐 주위에 8개의 물 분사노즐을 배치하였다. 물을 배기플룸과 평행하게 분사하여 배기플룸을 감싸거나, 또는 배기플룸 내에 물을 분사하는 두 가지 분사각도를 적용하였다. 장파장 적외선 신호 측정결과 물을 배기플룸과 평행하게 분사할 경우 물 분사유량에 따라 적외선 신호는 감소되었다. 배기플룸 내에 물을 분사할 경우, 적외선 신호는 배기플룸만 분사하는 경우보다 오히려 큰 값을 나타내는 것으로 측정되었다.

  • 마이크로컨트롤러 AVR를 이용하여 미세전류 경혈치료기를 개발하였다. 이 치료기는 정현파, 삼각파, 구형파, DC를 출력할 수 있다. 정현파, 삼각파 등의 주파수 범위는 1 - 320 Hz이고 DC의 출력 범위는 $40-200\;{\mu}A$이며 출력시간은 1 - 30 분으로 조절가능하다.
