도시의 지표형태학적 특성에 기반한 지면미기후 분석: 기온추정 및 평가 (Surface Micro-Climate Analysis Based on Urban Morphological Characteristics: Temperature Deviation Estimation and Evaluation)

  • Air temperature deviation (ATD) is one of major indicators to represent spatial distribution of urban heat island (UHI), which is induced from the urbanization. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the accuracy of air temperature deviation about Climate Analysis Seoul (CAS) workbench, which had developed by National Institute Meteorological Science and TU Berlin. Comparison and correlation analysis for CAS ATD including meso-scale air temperature deviation, local-scale air temperature deviation, total air temperature deviation, surface heat flux deviation, cold air production deviation among meso-scale numerical modelling variable in 'Seoul Region', micro-scale numerical modelling in 'Detail Region', and CAS workbench variable using observation data in ground stations. Comparison between night time OBS ATD and CAS ATD show that have most close values. Most of observations ($dT_{max}$ and $dT_{min}$) have highly positive ($dT_{SHP}$, $dT_{CA}$, MD, TD, $f_{BS}$, $f_{US}$, $f_{WS}$, $h_B$) and negative ($f_{VS}$, $f_{TV}$, $h_V$, Z) correlations. However, CAS workbench needs further improvement of both observational framework and analytical framework to resolve the problems; (1) night time OBS ATD of has closer values in compare with at high rise mountain area and (2) correlations are very dependable to meteorological scale.

소형 가스엔진 열병합발전 시스템의 안전관리 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Safety Management Methods of Micro-Gas Engine Combined Heat and Power System)

  • 지속적인 산업 발전에 따른 에너지 수급의 불안정 및 환경오염 문제가 대두됨에 따라 이에 대한 해결 방안의 일환으로 열병합발전 시스템의 보급이 활발해지고 있다. 국내의 경우 가스엔진을 이용한 열병합발전기의 안전성능에 대한 검사기준이 미비하므로 이에 대한 연구가 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 20 kW급 가스엔진 열병합발전 시스템에 적용 가능한 안전성능 관련 표준화 연구 수행을 위해 열병합발전 시스템의 국내 외 기준에 대한 안전성능 및 구조/재료 평가기준을 분석하였다. 또한, 위험요소 분석 및 HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Studies)을 이용한 위험성평가를 수행하여 가스엔진 열병합발전 시스템의 안전성능 평가(안)을 도출하였으며, 평가항목으로는 안전성능 관련 엔진 시동, 배관 기밀 성능, 살수 및 온도 상승 성능, 연소 성능, 전기 효율, 열효율, 종합 효율, 습도 성능 등이 포함된다. 가스엔진 열병합발전 시스템의 구조 및 재료와 관련하여 가스 및 수배관, 가스 조절 및 차단밸브, 금속 또는 비금속 재료의 내구성, 내열성, 내한성에 대한 평가항목을 도출하였다.

  • 적외선 신호에 대한 측정 시스템은 저피탐 기술 개발 및 전자기 방사의 분광 분석에 기여한다. SR (Spectroradiometer)의 적용은 배기 플룸에서 방사되는 열원만으로 복사량이 측정 가능하다. 마이크로 터보 엔진을 이용한 측정 시스템의 구축은 항공기 플룸을 모사하는데 목적을 두었다. 엔진은 성능 시험을 위해 테이블에 계측 장비와 함께 설치되었다. 배기 플룸 축과 수직을 이루도록 분광복사기를 위치하여 적외선 신호를 측정하였다. 원 데이터에 대한 보정을 위하여 흑체를 사용하여 참조 데이터를 획득하였고 플룸 신호와 비교하기 위해서 배경에 대한 신호도 측정하였다. 보정된 spectral radiance는 데이터 처리를 통해 계산되었고 밴드별로 분석되었다. 본 측정 시스템으로 종합적인 분석 연구가 가능하게 되었다.

양방향 스털링엔진의 선형발전기 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design of the Linear Generator in the Double Acting Stirling Engine)

  • This paper describes the continuing effort to analysis and design on dynamic and electrical behavior of gamma-type free piston Stirling engine/generator with dual-opposed linear generator for domestic micro-CHP (Combined Heat and Power) system. The double acting Stirling engine/generator has one displacer and two power piston which are supported by flexure springs. Two power pistons oscillate with symmetric sinusoidal displacement and are connected with moving magnet type linear generators for power generation. To operate Stirling engine/generator, combustion heat of natural gas is supplied to hot-end and heat is rejected from cold-end by cooling water. The temperature difference across the displacer induces the oscillating motion, and it can be explained with mass-spring vibration system. The purpose of this paper is to describe the design process of linear generator for the double acting free-piston Stirling engine.

초소형 열병합발전시스템(${\mu}CHP$) 운전거동 시뮬레이션 프로그램 개발 (Heat Transfer in a Duct with Various Cross Section of Ribs)

  • We developed a program, "CogenSim-$\mu$," to simulate the operation of micro-combined heat and power (${\mu}CHP$) system. The CogenSim-$\mu$ can reflect the variation of energy efficiency by handling the real-time loads (heat and power) fluctuation. The result obtained using this program was compared with the real operation of 30 kWe gas engine driven ${\mu}CHP$. It was found that the CogenSim-$\mu$ could predict the amount of generated-power, recovered-heat and consumed-fuel with the error less than 3%, and heat and power efficiency with the error less than 4%. The CogenSim-$\mu$ reconstructed the profile of on-off cycle, which represented the operation of a facility, with more than 93% accuracy. The CogenSim-$\mu$ can reflect the effects of various factors such as size of thermal storage tank, desired temperature of reservoir water, natural frequency of generator, etc. As a result, the CogenSim-$\mu$ can be used to optimize the ${\mu}CHP$ operation.

Performance Characteristics of a 10kW Gas Engine for Generation Package

  • Cogeneration has been widely introduced in many countries for use m industrial, commercial and residential applications. However, there have been few models with an output of less than 100kW. In the present study, a spark ignited gas engine with electric generation output of 10kW was developed for micro cogeneration package. Developed gas engine achieved following performance characteristics such as $26.7\%$ of electric generation efficiency, NOx emission less than 10 ppm at $13\%$ oxygen, 82 dB of noise level, and about 3 seconds of switching time from idling to nominal power.

  • Combustion phenomenon in scale-downed combustor is investigated. As the combustor volume decreases surface to volume ratio increases. for increased surface to volume ratio means increased heat loss and this increased heat loss affects reaction in combustion chamber. Plastic mini combustor is made. Stoichiometricaly premixed Hydrogen I air gas is used as fuel. Initial chamber pressure and chamber size are varied and the effects are evaluated. Peak pressure decreases with the decrease in chamber height. As initial chamber pressure decreases peak pressure decreases. And this change is more important than scale down effect till the chamber height of 1mm. With this result and further information following the experiments design parameter for micro engine can be established.

  • Combustion phenomenon in scale-downed combustor is investigated. As the combustor scale decreases surface to volume ratio increases and chamber size approaches quenching distance. As the combustor scales down surface to volume ratio increases resulting increased heat loss. And this heat loss can affect quenching and instability of the flame. To investigate this effect plastic mini combustor is made. Stoichiometricaly premixed Hydrogen / air gas is used as fuel.   • The rapid increases in global energy demand and global warming need renewable energy sources such as solar thermal energy, biomass energy and waste heat. A ORC-based micro-CHP system(< 10 kWe) is one of the effective means to use renewable energy and solve energy problems because of its compactness, flexibilities and lower cost compared to other systems. The most important core components of the ORC is the expander which has a strong effect on the cycle efficiency. In the range of power output from 1 to 10 kW, the scroll expander is a good choice due to its performance and reliability. In this study, we have carried out an experimental study on an ORC equipped with oil-free scroll expander working with refrigerant R134a. We have measured power output and thermal efficiencies of the ORC and analyzed correlation between volumetric efficiencies of the expander and thermal efficiencies of the ORC.

  • 본 연구에서는 MEMS기술을 적용한 2W급 초소형 가스터빈엔진의 개발과 실제 연소 환경에서의 발전 가능성을 해석적, 실험적으로 입증하였다. 초소형 가스터빈엔진은 터보차저, 연소기, 발전기로 이루어져 있다. 터보차저는 각각 직경 10mm와 9mm의 MEMS 공정 압축기와 터빈으로 구성되어 있으며 발전코일 또한 MEMS공정으로 설계되었다. 제작된 압축기와 터빈은 정밀 기계 가공된 축과 공기 베어링으로 지지되고 회전하며, 회전축 끝단에 영구자석을 설치하여 발전을 하게 된다. 공기 베어링과 압축기를 통한 냉각 효과를 해석하여 연소기에서 발생한 열을 충분히 차단할 수 있는 것으로 분석되었고, 이를 실험을 통해 검증하였다.
