This paper describes the physical characterizations of polycrystalline 3C-SiC thin films heteroepitaxially grown on Si wafers with thermal oxide, In this work, the 3C-SiC film was deposited by LPCVD (low pressure chemical vapor deposition) method using single precursor 1, 3-disilabutane $(DSB:\;H_3Si-CH_2-SiH_2-CH_3)\;at\;850^{\circ}C$. The crystallinity of the 3C-SiC thin film was analyzed by XPS (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy), XRD (X-ray diffraction) and FT-IR (fourier transform-infrared spectometers), respectively. The surface morphology was also observed by AFM (atomic force microscopy) and voids or dislocations between SiC and $SiO_2$ were measured by SEM (scanning electron microscope). Finally, residual strain was investigated by Raman scattering and a peak of the energy level was less than other type SiC films, From these results, the grown poly 3C-SiC thin film is very good crystalline quality, surface like mirror, and low defect and strain. Therefore, the polycrystalline 3C-SiC is suitable for harsh environment MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems) applications.

A high resolution Laser Doppler Vibrometer(LDV) developed using electronic fringe counting method. The fringe pattern signal obtained via analog signal processing is divided into two. One was converted to a TTL signal with a ZCD(zero-crossing detector) and then counted to calculate the displacement due to the vibration. The other was directed to the A/D converter to get a high resolution of about $\lambda/320$ with the phase comparison method. The data obtained with the A/D converter was used in the displacement calculation and the result was displayed on a LCD pane. In this study, a Laser Doppler Vibrometer with measurement range of $0.32\mum~129\mum$ and displacement resolution of 2nm, about $\lambda/320$ , was developed. And this LDV can be used to measure the dynamic of microsize devices such as MEMS(Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems) and to diagnose high capacity electric equipment such as circuit breakers and transformers, of which resonant frequencies are changed when they are damaged.

This paper presents a surface acoustic wave(SAW) micro-electro-mechanical-systems(MEMS) interdigital transducer (IDT) gyroscope with 80MHz central frequency on a $128^{\circ}\;YX\;LiNbO_3$, which is consisted of a two-port SAW resonator, metallic dots and dual delay lines for the sensor and reference oscillators. Reason for using two delay line oscillators is to extract the gyroscope effect by comparing the resonant frequencies between two oscillators and to compensate the temperature effect. Based on the coupling of modes(COM) simulation, an 80MHz two ports SAW resonator and dual delay line were fabricated and characterized by the network analyzer. Obtained sensitivity was $109Hz/deg{\cdot}s^{-1}$ in the angular rate range of $0{\sim}1000deg/s$. Good Linearity and superior directivity were observed.
Using crowdsourced sensor data collection technique, it is possible to collect high-density ground vibration data which is difficult to obtain by conventional methods. In this study, we have developed a crowdsourced ground vibration data collection system using MEMS sensors mounted on small electronic devices including smartphones, and implemented client and server based on the proposed infrastructure system design. The system is designed to gather vibration data quickly through Android-based smartphones or fixed devices based on Android Things, minimizing the usage of resource like power usage and data transmission traffic of the hardware.
In this study, a diaphragm-type pressure sensor was developed using multi-layer(four-layer) graphene produced at 1 nm thickness by thermally transferring single-layer graphene produced by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) to a 6" silicon wafer. By measuring the gauge factor, we investigated whether it was possible to produce a pressure sensor of consistent quality. As a result of the measurement, the pressure sensor using multilayer graphene showed linearity and had a gauge factor of about 17.5. The gauge factor of the multilayer graphene-based pressure sensor produced through this study is lower than that of doped silicon, but is more sensitive than a general metal sensor, showing that it can be sufficiently used as a commercialized sensor.
Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) gradually becomes a technique for ensuring the health and safety of civil infrastructures and is also an important approach for the research of the damage accumulation and disaster evolving characteristics of civil infrastructures. It is attracting prodigious research interests and the active development interests of scientists and engineers because a great number of civil infrastructures are planned and built every year in mainland China. In a SHM system the sheer number of accompanying wires, fiber optic cables, and other physical transmission medium is usually prohibitive, particularly for such structures as offshore platforms and long-span structures. Fortunately, with recent advances in technologies in sensing, wireless communication, and micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS), wireless sensor technique has been developing rapidly and is being used gradually in the SHM of civil engineering structures. In this paper, some recent advances in the research, development, and implementation of wireless sensors for the SHM of civil infrastructures in mainland China, especially in Dalian University of Technology (DUT) and Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), are introduced. Firstly, a kind of wireless digital acceleration sensors for structural global monitoring is designed and validated in an offshore structure model. Secondly, wireless inclination sensor systems based on Frequency-hopping techniques are developed and applied successfully to swing monitoring of large-scale hook structures. Thirdly, wireless acquisition systems integrating with different sensing materials, such as Polyvinylidene Fluoride(PVDF), strain gauge, piezoresistive stress/strain sensors fabricated by using the nickel powder-filled cement-based composite, are proposed for structural local monitoring, and validating the characteristics of the above materials. Finally, solutions to the key problem of finite energy for wireless sensors networks are discussed, with future works also being introduced, for example, the wireless sensor networks powered by corrosion signal for corrosion monitoring and rapid diagnosis for large structures.
In this paper, we proposed an optical true time-delay (TTD) feeder system for phased array antennas (PAAs). The system possesses high-speed beam scan capability since, in this scheme, different lengths of fiber delay-lines are selected by optical 2${\times}$2 MEMS switches at high speed. An optical TTD capable of beam scanning in one of eight different directions has been built for 10 GHz linear PAA systems. Experimental results on time delay measurements show that the maximum time delay error is less than 0.2 ps corresponding to a scan angle error of less than 0.84o. We have also designed a 10 GHz linear PAA composed of eight micro-strip patch antenna elements driven by the proposed TTD, and the radiation patterns of this PAA have been analyzed by simulation.
Modern sports are developing into sports science that incorporates science and various analytical simulation systems for improving records are being developed, and they are helping to improve actual game records. Therefore golf which is one of various sports events, has been popularized among the hobbyists and the general public and there is an increasing demand for correcting the movement attitude of the person. In response to these demands, many systems have been developed to analyze and correct golf swing postures. The golf swing accuracy analysis system analyzes the moments that can not be seen with the naked eye and guides them to understand easily. It can improve the golf swing motion through immediate feedback due to the visual effect. Using the knowledge of golf swing motion collected from golf swing video, we improved reliability. In addition, it provides the ability to visually check and analyze your golf swing video, allowing you to analyze each segment based on various golf swing classification methods.
