C-G Method를 이용한 지그재그 노면표시의 교통사고 감소효과 분석 (Estimation of Traffic Accident Effectiveness of Zig-zag Marking Using a Comparison Group Method)

  • PURPOSES : This research is to evaluate the effects of zig-zag marking. METHODS : Based on the literature review, This research adopt Comparison Group method which was developed by Hauer. RESULTS : The findings are as follows. Effectiveness of treatment at all site 1.06, intersection 0.92, median bus lane 1.93, school zone 0.50, below 6-lane 0.48, above 6-lane 1.19, cat vs person 0.57, car vs car 1.36, car only 1.29. CONCLUSIONS : Though the analysis, it was founded that zig-zag marking on the small scale road(below 6-lane) and school zone contribute to reduce traffic accidents(effectiveness of the treatment : 0.50, 0.48). But the accidents at large scale road and median bus lane where installed zig-zag marking demonstrated negative result.(effectiveness of the treatment indicates exceed 1.0).

  • Development on the mechanical properties of steel sheet for the automobile body panel is very important in the BAF(Batch annealing furnace) annealing process. Because of the heat treatment method in the BAF, mechanical properties were decided on the heat treatment method of the coil. So, we tested on the development of mechanical properties according to heat treatment method at the annealing furnace using the In atmospheric gas($H_2$ : 75%, $N_2$ : 25%) and the HNx atmospheric gas($H_2$ : 5%, $N_2$ : 95%) We confirmed the following characteristics, mechanical properties were changed under the influence of the annealing cycle and the atmospheric gas. And, we have some result according to heat treatment method. Elongation of the mechanical properties in the HNx BAF is higher than the Ax BAF. But tensile strength and hardness is higher than the HNx BAF.

  • Consider a situation that a specific treatment is regarded as the best in comparing several treatments. In this case, a natural procedure to decide the best treatment is to choose the specific one which is proved to be better than each one of the others. This study proposes a method for detecting the best by comparing two treatments from the above point of view. Since this method deals with comparing only two treatments, it is very simple to use and expected to be widely applicable.

  • The plasma processing technologies of thin film deposition and surface treatment technique have been applied to many industrial fields. This study is purposed Large-area uniformity and surface treatment on the stainless substrate. We treat surface of stainless by $CF_4$ plasma. $CF_4$ plasma is generated by using SPM(Scanning plasma method)which is kind a of CVD. Generally, SPM has been used for uniform surface treatment using a crossed electromagnetic field. The optimum discharge condition has been studied for the gas pressure, the magnetic flux density and the distance between substrate and electrodes. In result, contact angle is increased by surface treatment using $CF_4$ Plasma. Therefore we expect that SPM to control contact angle is applied to many industries.

  • Recently, surface-treatment agent was developed to restore performance of the deteriorated concrete and inhibiting corrosion of the reinforcing-bar. The performance of surface-treatment agent was verified and this agent has been broadly in America and European countries. However, this type agent has not been used broadly in Korea because performance of the agent isn't verify by a proper test method yet. In this study, we suggested our own test procedures and methods through extensive laboratory tests to verify the performance of concrete after applying the surface-treatment agent.

Heat source control intelligent system for heat treatment process

  • Although precise temperature control in the heat treatment process is a key factor in process reliability, there are many cases where there is no separate heat source control optimization system in the field. To solve this problem, the program monitors the temperature data according to the heat source change through sensor communication in a recursive method based on multiple variables that affect the process, and the target heat source value and the actual heat treatment heat source to match the internal air temperature and material temperature. A control optimization system was constructed. Through this study, the error rate between the target temperature and the atmosphere (material surface) temperature of around 10.7% with the existing heat source control method was improved to an improved result of around 0.1% using a process optimization algorithm and system.

  • A ground treatment work for Hongkong container terminal yard is reported as a case study of site formation work with full dredging and replacement method. Ground treatment work adopting surcharge and deep compaction (vibroflotation) were applied to improve the sand creep potential. The sand creep parameter of 0 25% was assumed in design stage and improved up to 0.05% and 0.02% after surcharge and deep compaction respectively

알칼라제를 이용한 폴리아미드 섬유의 효소가공 (Enzymatic Treatment of Polyamide Fiber by Alcalase)

  • An enzymatic treatment method using alcalase was introduced to improve the moisture characteristic of the polyamide fiber. The alcalase treatment conditions such as the pH, treatment temperature, enzyme concentration, and treatment time were optimized by measuring the amino groups. The changes in the weight loss, tensile strength, moisture regain, water contact angle (WCA), and water absorption rate of the polyamide fiber with the changes in the alcalase treatment conditions were evaluated. The optimum alcalase treatment conditions for polyamide fiber were found to be a treatment temperature of 50oC, a treatment time of 50 minutes, an alcalase concentration of 10% (owf), and a pH of 7.0. The ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) and L-cysteine accelerated the activity of the enzyme; however, they did not have an effect on the amino group production of the fiber surface. The alcalase treatment of the polyamide fiber improved the fiber's moisture regain, WCA, and absorption rate due to the amino group on the fiber surface. The results showed that the alcalase treatment of polyamide fiber is an effective method to improve the moisture characteristic of the polyamide fiber.

  • Multivariate analysis and batch monitoring on a pilot-scale sequencing batch reactor (SBR) are described for integrated wastewater treatment management system, where a batchwise multiway independent component analysis method (MICA) are used to extract meaningful hidden information from non-Gaussian wastewater treatment data. Three-way batch data of SBR are unfolded batch-wisely, and then a non-Gaussian multivariate monitoring method is used to capture the non-Gaussian characteristics of normal batches in biological wastewater treatment plant. It is successfully applied to an 80L SBR for biological wastewater treatment, which is characterized by a variety of error sources with non-Gaussian characteristics. The batchwise multivariate monitoring results of a pilot-scale SBR for integrated wastewater treatment management system showed more powerful monitoring performance on a WWTP application than the conventional method since it can extract non-Gaussian source signals which are independent and cross-correlation of variables.
