그리비어 옵셋을 이용한 메탈 그리드 메쉬 필름 제작 기법 (Fabrication Method of Metal Grid Mesh Film Using the Gravure Offset Printing)

  • Previously fabricated electronic devices were used for vacuum manufacturing processes such as conventional semiconductor manufacturing. However, they are difficult to apply to continuous processes such as roll-to-roll printing, which results in very high device manufacturing and processing costs. Therefore, many developers have been interested in applying continuous processes to contact printing or noncontact printing technologies and they proposed various continuous printing techniques instead of conventional batch coating. In this paper, we proposed improved gravure offset printing process as one of the contact printing technique. We used etching pattern geometry with soft core blanket roll for printing of ultra fine line below the 10um.Using this technique we obtained flexible metal grid mesh film as transparent conductive film.

Hybrid-Ceramic Crown과 금속 도재관의 파절강도 비교 (COMPARISON OF FRACTURE STRENGTH BETWEEN HYBRID-CERAMIC CROWN AND METAL-CERAMIC CROWN)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the fracture strengths and the fracture patterns of several hybrid-ceramic crowns and metal-ceramic crown. Ten crowns were constructed for each group according to the manufacturer's instruction. Removable template of silicone rubber impression material was used for standardization of each crowns. Each crown was cemented on a metal die with hybrid glass ionomer cement. All crowns cemented were stored in distilled water, $36^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours prior to loading in an universal testing machine. The load was directed at 130 degrees the long axis of metal die. The fracture strengths were measured and the fracture patterns were observed. The following results were obtained from this study 1. The mean fracture strengths of $Artglass^{(R)}$, $Sculpture^{(R)}$ and $Targis^{(R)}$ were $57.5{\pm}9.5Kgf,\;62.7{\pm}12.2Kgf$ and $60.2{\pm}10.1Kgf$ respectively. There was no significant difference among each hybrid ceramic crown group. 2. The toad required to fracture hybrid-ceramic crowns was significantly smaller than metal-ceramic crowns($131.7{\pm}22.0Kgf$). 3. In the metal-ceramic crowns, labial porcelain detached partially from porcelain-metal junction of proximal side by load. 4. Hybrid-ceramic crowns showed a simple fracture pattern that fracture line began at the loading area and extended through proximal surface, perpendicular to the margin. The crown was separated into two parts of labial side and lingual side. Above results revealed that three kinds of the hybrid-ceramic crowns used in this study must have careful application in clinical use since the strength of hybrid-ceramic crown was lower(about 1/2) than that of metal-ceramic crown.

  • Loose Parts Monitoring System(LPMS) monitors loosened or detached parts and foreign parts inside the pressure boundary of a reactor coolant system (RCS). It is difficult to discriminate valid signal from LPMS alarms at full power since the signal pattern by thermal shocks and structure friction are similar to those by loose metal impacts. In addition, It is more difficult to discriminate the impact signals induced by the rod driving, sensor hard-line movement and loosened component since they have similar frequency characteristics with valid signals. This paper classifies the signal patterns by analyzing actual LPMS signal captured during nuclear power plant operation.

  • Metallothionein gene expression activity of cadmium was investigated in a human lung epithelial cell line. Cells, grown to near confluence, were exposed to 0∼10 ${\mu}$M Cd metal for 6 hours. Cadmium did not cause morphological alteration in lung epithelial cells that are characteristic of cell damages such as cell shrinkage, detachment of the cell from its neighbors, cytoplasmic and chromatic condensation. However, metallothionein genes of MT-1 and MT-2 were rapidly induced in the treated cell measured by RT-PCR. Regarding the induction pattern of motallothionein mRNA, MT-1 mRNA was induced in a dependent manner. MT-2 mRNA induction, which was measured using oligo primers based on cDNA of human reticulocytes, seemed to be slightly increased in low doses but decreased at high concentration used in the experiment.

Comparison of the fracture resistances of glass fiber mesh- and metal mesh-reinforced maxillary complete denture under dynamic fatigue loading

  • PURPOSE. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of reinforcing materials on the fracture resistances of glass fiber mesh- and Cr-Co metal mesh-reinforced maxillary complete dentures under fatigue loading. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Glass fiber mesh- and Cr-Co mesh-reinforced maxillary complete dentures were fabricated using silicone molds and acrylic resin. A control group was prepared with no reinforcement (n = 15 per group). After fatigue loading was applied using a chewing simulator, fracture resistance was measured by a universal testing machine. The fracture patterns were analyzed and the fractured surfaces were observed by scanning electron microscopy. RESULTS. After cyclic loading, none of the dentures showed cracks or fractures. During fracture resistance testing, all unreinforced dentures experienced complete fracture. The mesh-reinforced dentures primarily showed posterior framework fracture. Deformation of the all-metal framework caused the metal mesh-reinforced denture to exhibit the highest fracture resistance, followed by the glass fiber mesh-reinforced denture (P<.05) and the control group (P<.05). The glass fiber mesh-reinforced denture primarily maintained its original shape with unbroken fibers. River line pattern of the control group, dimples and interdendritic fractures of the metal mesh group, and radial fracture lines of the glass fiber group were observed on the fractured surfaces. CONCLUSION. The glass fiber mesh-reinforced denture exhibits a fracture resistance higher than that of the unreinforced denture, but lower than that of the metal mesh-reinforced denture because of the deformation of the metal mesh. The glass fiber mesh-reinforced denture maintains its shape even after fracture, indicating the possibility of easier repair.

리버스 그라비아 옵셋 또는 그라비아 옵셋 프린팅을 이용한 조명용 OLED 소자 보조전극 형성 공정 연구 (A Study on Processing of Auxiliary Electrodes for OLED Lighting Devices Using a Reverse Gravure-Offset or Gravure-Offset Printing)

  • The lighting devices using organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) are actively researched because of the various advantages such as high power efficiency and 2-dimensitonal lighting emitting. To commercialize those OLED lighting devices, the manufacturing cost must be downed to comparable price with conventional light sources. Here, we demonstrate a reverse gravure-offset or gravure off-set printed metal electrode for the auxiliary electrode for OLED lighting devices. For the fabricated OLED's auxiliary electrode, we used Ag nano-paste and printed metal grid structure with a line width and spacing of several ten and hundred micrometer by using gravure-offset printing. In the end the printing metal grid pattern are successfully achieved by optimization of various experimental conditions such as printing pressure, printing speed and printing delay time.

유연기판 위 형성된 나노-마이크로 Pt 금속선 패턴의 내구성 연구 (Durability of Nano-/micro- Pt Line Patterns Formed on Flexible Substrate)

  • 정렬된 미세 패턴을 형성하는 기술은 차세대 전자소자를 제작함에 있어서 기틀이 되는 기반기술이기 때문에, 최근 더욱 미세한 패턴을 구현하기 위하여 많은 노력들이 이루어지고 있다. 그 중, 본 연구에서는 패터닝 공정에 있어서 비용이 저렴하고 단시간 내에 고해상도 미세패턴의 형성이 가능한 장점을 갖는 나노 패턴전사 프린팅 공정을 이용하였다. 투명하고 유연한 기판 위에 250 nm, 500 nm, 그리고 $1{\mu}m$의 선폭을 갖는 Pt 금속 라인 패턴을 성공적으로 형성하였으며, 벤딩기기를 사용하여 500회 벤딩평가 후 패턴의 파괴가 일어나는지에 대한 내구성을 평가하였고, 전자현미경을 통하여 분석하였다. 벤딩 전과 후의 패턴에 대한 손상 여부에 대하여 확인한 결과, 다양한 선폭의 금속 라인 패턴이 초기 상태와 변함없이 형상을 유지할 뿐만 아니라, 패턴주기 또한 안정적으로 유지됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 볼 때, 나노 패턴 전사 프린팅 공정은 다양한 금속 패턴을 형성하는데 매우 유용하다고 판단되며, 향후 차세대 유연 전자소자 또는 배선 및 인터커넥션 기술로 응용이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

Individual Character 산업을 위한 전통 주술 문양의 캐릭터 개발 연구 (A Study on the Character Creation of Traditional Incantatory Pattern for Individual Character Industry)

  • 세계는 점차적으로 각 나라에 대한 정체성, 각 단체에 대한 정체성, 개인에 대한 정체성을 추구하고 있으며, 그 정체성이 타문화 또는 타 단체와 차별되는 특징을 갖는 고유 디자인을 요구하고 있다. 또한 캐릭터를 비롯한 만화, 애니메이션, CF등 캐릭터 관련 산업들이 곳곳에서 대두되면서 개개인의 개성을 부각시킬 수 있는 마스코트 개념의 캐릭터 개발이 요구되었다. 이러한 개인의 정체성을 표현한 캐릭터를 포함한 캐릭터 관련 상품 시장을 'Individual Character" 산업이라 명하고, 본 연구는 위 산업을 위한 차별적 특징을 갖는 디자인으로 한국적 소재를 사용하여 마스코트 또는 수호천사 개념으로 "Individual Character"를 개발하였다. 본 연구는 이를 개발하기 위해, 한국의 전통 주술 문양을 분석하고, 캐릭터 산업 및 국내외 전통 문양 소재의 캐릭터 조사를 통해 12지를 소재로 한 캐릭터를 하나의 인격을 갖는 형태로서 line art 캐릭터, 오방색 2D 캐릭터, 글자 '||'&'||' 그림 3D 캐릭터, 3가지 형태로 개발하였다. 이 3타입의 캐릭터들은 유형별 전략을 모색한 후 각각 캘린더, 도자기, 금속, Animation Source, 생활 용품, 악세사리 등 각종 상품에 적용 개발하였다. 상품 적용은 line art, 2D, 3D 타입에 대한 상품 적용을 목적으로 Re-design을 하여 적용하였으며, 금속, 지류, web, 도자 등 각 소재별 표현제약을 고려하여 각 상품을 유형별로 개발하였다. 본 연구는 이를 통해 전통주술 문양을 소재로 한 "Individual Character"가 한국적 디자인 창출을 통한 문화적 정체성과 독창성을 발굴할 수 있었으며, 캐릭터 산업에 "Individual Character"라는 개념을 새롭게 적용하여, 한 가지 소재로 다원화된 캐릭터를 개발하며, 소비자 대상에 따른 각종 상품에 적용을 시도하였다.

직장남성들의 구두착용실태와 디자인 선호도 분석 (A study on the Wearing Pattern and Design Preference of Shoes for Men)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the wearing pattern and design preference of shoes for men, and to develop the possibility and strategy of the shoes market for the shoes marketers and manufacturers. In this study, the data obtained from 285 respondents were analyzed by the descriptive statistics. The results from the data were as follows : The most frequent brand among the 45 shoes brand by 285 respondents described in free style was 'Esquire'. The 268 respondents possessed two shoes or more, the most frequent shoes' color was black, and the most preferred brand was 'Kumkang'. The 195 respondents indicated the discomfort of ready-made shoes, The 198 respondents discarded their shoes 'on the reason of worn-out', the 98 respondents indicated that the most important thing in the purchasing point was 'the comfort of shoes' The respondents preferred shoes with 'slip-on type', 'cow leather', 'semi-rounded toe', 'no-metal ornaments', 'moccasin tip', 'leather-sole', and '3cm heel'. Finally, this study proposed that the best strategy for shoes marketers and manufacturers was to upgrade the comfort of shoes by design(line) and the material with functional textures.

Front Surface Grid Design for High Efficiency Solar Cells

  • Standard crystalline solar cells are generally fabricated with the front grid pattern of silver paste contact. We have reported a detailed theoretical analysis of the proposed segmented cross grid line pattern in this paper. This work was carried out for the optimization of spacing and width of grid finger, main busbar and sub-busbar. The overall electrical and optical losses due to front contact were brought down to $10\%$ or even less as compared to the usual loss of $15\%$ or more in the conventional screen printed silver paste technology by choosing proper grid pattern and optimizing the grid parameters. The total normalized power loss for segmented mesh grid with plated metal contact was also observed and the total power loss could be brought down to $10.04\%$ unlike $11.57\%$ in the case of continuous grid and plated contact. This paper is able to outline the limitations of conventional screen printed contact.
