Filler metal을 이용한 Stainless steel필터의 제조 및 통기도 (Fabrication and Permeability of Stainless Steel Filter by using Filler Metal)

  • The application concept of using a fail safety filter on the filtering system is to prevent the particle leakage when the main filter element is broken at high temperature. In this study, the metal filters were fabricated by pressureless sintering method. The mixture of stainless steel powders and filler metal binder solved in the water solutions of 5% PVA was compacted to form the cylindrical filter without pressure. The compacted filter were sintered in the vacuum sintering furnace at 120$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour. The metal filter(produced with powder of 640-840 ${\mu}m$ size) having more than above 50% porosity, 500${\mu}m$ pore size, and permeability of 7.3${\times}$10$^{-11}$m$^{2}$ plugged within 2.5 minute to prevent the leakage of maximum slip particle size of less than 3${\mu}m$.

고온 금속필터 element 표면에 생성된 반점에 대한 평가 (Evaluation of Dark Spots Formated on the High Temperature Metal Filter Elements)

  • 중 저준위 방사성폐기물 유리화 실증시설의 고온필터(HTF)시스템에 금속필터를 도입하여 일련의 성능시험을 수행하였다. 고온필터시스템의 여과재는 총 19개의 필터 element로 구성되는데 필터로서 금속 재질별 특성을 알기 위해 316L, 904L, Inconel 600 등 3종의 element를 혼합하여 필터set를 구성하였다. 매 시험을 종료한 후에는 필터하우징에서 종류별로 필터 element를 꺼내어 육안으로 변화를 관찰하였다. 그 결과 일부 element 표면에서 어두운 색깔의 반점들이 관찰되었으며, 특히 AISI 316L 재질의 element에서 많은 반점들이 발견되었다. 이 반점들이 부식을 의미하는 것인지 확인하기 위해 두 가지 분석을 수행하였다. 첫째 재질별로 1개씩의 element를 절단하여 정상적인 곳과 반점이 있는 곳의 표면 및 단면을 SEM/EDS로 분석하였다. 그 결과 반점은 Na, S, Si 등 무기계 산화물이 집중적으로 침적되어 필터의 미세기공을 막고 있는 현상으로 밝혀졌으며, 이 침적물들은 폐기물 및 유리용탕으로 부터 휘발된 물질로 판단된다. 둘째, 재질별로 필터 element에 대해 ring tensile시험을 수행하였다. 그 결과 반점을 포함한 시험 필터 element의 인장강도 값이 규정값 이상으로 나타나서 필터에 부식이 없는 것으로 확인되었다. 앞서 두 가지 분석결과로 볼 때 시험한 금속필터 표면에 생성된 반점은 부식생성물이라기 보다는 필터 전단으로부터 유입된 무기산화물 필터기공을 막고 있는 현상으로 판단되며, 이 반점이 반점형태로 국부적 지점에만 나타나는 것은 시험 중단시기 필터에 응축된 수분과 관련이 있는 것으로 판단된다. 반점의 생성은 필터의 유효 여과면적이 줄어 결과적으로 필터에 걸리는 압력손실이 커지기 때문에 필터하우징의 상시보온을 통한 응축 방지가 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 아울러, 보다 장시간의 시험을 통해 필터 부식현상에 대한 검증 필요하다고 판단된다.

고온 집진용 Fail Safety 소결 필터의 통기도와 분진제거 특성 (The Properties of Permeability and Ash-Removal of Sintered Fail Safety Filter of Dust Collector in High Temperature)

  • The fail safety filter is an assistant filter element to be mounted in order to intercept the particles leaked when the main filter elements are broken. So it should have two contrary functions of being plugged easily to meet the purpose of dust sealing and a high permeability to save the space. The permeability of the metal filter elements were effectively controlled by the following factor: powder size(53-840 ${\mu}m$) and applied pressure(1000-2000 $kgf/cm^2$), and then the compact were sintered for 1 hour at $1200^{\circ}C$ in vacuum sintering furnace. The sintered metal filters was evaluated for the function of the fail safety filter in an experimental unit. The maximum allowable particle size was 420-840 ${\mu}m$, when a CIP pressure of 1500 $kgf/cm^2$ was applied reveals a permeability of about $1.2{\times}10^{10}m^2$ and pore size of about 60 ${\mu}m$. The metal filter produced with stainless steel powder of 480-840 ${\mu}m$ size, which presented excellent permeability than commercial ceramic filter element and plugged with in 3 minutes with the leak of the maximum particle size less than 3 ${\mu}m$.

  • Gas filtration at high temperature from industrial processes offers various advantages such as increasing process efficiency, improving heat recovery and materials resource recovery, etc. At the same time, it is an advanced environment protection technology. This paper describes a newly developed metallic filter element. The manufacturing process of sintered $Fe_3Al$ metallic powder and the mechanical and filtration characteristics of this filter element were investigated. In this work, the phase constituent changes of the $Fe_3Al$ powder during sintering were studied. The newly developed filter elements were found to have excellent corrosion resistance, good thermal resistance, high strength and high filtration efficiency.

자동차용 자성폴리머 오일필터의 여과특성 연구 (The Filtrational Characteristics of Magnetic Fibrous Polymeric Filter as an Oil Filter for Automotive)

  • The magnetic fibrous polymeric oil filter for automotive was obtained by pneumoextrusion processing prepared from thermoplastic polymer(polyamide) containing magnetic particulate filer (Ba ferrite), and treated subsequently in a magnetic fields. Using an oil filter tester and particle quantifier, the dependence of filtrational characteristics of the magnetic oil filter on the parameters of mean pore sizes and magnetic properties were analyzed. Also experimental engine-bed test of oil filters was investigated. The magnetic fibrous polymeric filter was shown to possess a highly filtration efficiency in filtering the fine metal particles with increasing the magnetic force of filter element. In this study, we knew that efficiency of magnetic fibrous polymeric filter was dependent on the magnetic strength of the filter elements.

LPI 차량용 연료필터 상부 하우징 냉간 단조 성형 공정에서 sink 현상 예측 및 개선 (Prediction of Sink Phenomenon during Forging Process and Improvement of LPI Fuel Filter Housing Forging Product)

  • 자동차에 사용되는 LPI 연료필터 하우징 제품은 기존 다이캐스팅 공정에서 냉간 단조 공정으로 개발하여 경량화 및 내구성을 향상하였다. 하지만 T자형 단조 형상이기 때문에 제품을 생산하였을 경우 제품의 싱크 문제가 발생하게 된다. 이로 인해 제품의 후처리 가공 문제가 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제를 개선하기 위해 성형 해석 시뮬레이션을 이용해 문제를 예측하고 개선방안에 대해 연구했다. 성형 해석 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 문제를 개선하기 위해 완전 성형이 가능한 최적 블랭크의 부피를 결정하였다. 그리고 최적의 블랭크 부피에 맞춰 성형 해석 시뮬레이션을 수행하였고 싱크 현상을 가시화했다. 싱크 현상을 개선하기 위해 냉간 단조 공정 진행 시 싱크 부 밑 부분에 패드를 받침으로 싱크 현상을 개선하였다. 적정한 패드력을 구하기 위해 파라미터 스터디를 진행하였고, 적정한 패드력으로 공정 진행 시 싱크 문제를 개선하였다. 그리고 실제 산업 현장에 적용하여 싱크 문제 개선에 대한 검증을 수행했다.

Improved Membranes for the Extraction of Heavy Metals

  • This work presents a series of experimental tests on new practical approaches in membrane design to improve extraction capacity and rate. We chose an extraction system involving Aliquat 336 as the extractant and Cd(II) as the metal ion to be extracted to demonstrate these new approaches. The core element in the new membrane assembly was the extractant loaded sintered glass filter. This membrane assembly provided a large interface area between the extractant and the aqueous solution containing metal ions. By recycling the aqueous solution through the membrane assembly, the extraction rate was significantly improved. The membrane assembly also offered good extraction capacity.

재생 합성수지 원료생산을 위한 중금속 이물질 제거 공정기술 개발 (Development of a Process Technique for Heavy Metal Removal in the Production of Recycled Synthetic Resin Materials)

  • Recycled synthetic resin materials produced from waste vinyl and waste plastic contain many foreign substances. Plastic products made from this recycled resin materials containing foreign substances are of poor quality, with reduced the strength and rigidity. Foreign substances include heavy metals, cement, foil, dyed paper and dust. In this study, the scratch-Dies process; which remove foreign sbustances, with precision and automation, through a three-stage mesh filter, is designed. The process is evaluated with finite element analysis according to vibration loading and make. After installing the manufactured equipment, recycled resin was producde, and its heavy metal content was evaluated. Recycled synthetic resin materials were also used plastic products and evaluate their strength. In addition, the change in production was assessed.

압전 프린트 헤드에 의한 금속프린팅의 미세패턴제어 (Micro Pattern Control of Metal Printing by Piezoelectric Print-head)

  • We were analyzed the piezoelectric characteristic for electronics printing to inkjet printing system. These applications were possible use to Actuator, MEMS, FPCB, RFID, Solar cell and LCD color filter etc. Piezoelectric print head is firing from ink droplet control consideration ink viscosity properties. At this time, micro pattern for PCB metal printing was possible by droplet control of piezoelectric driving. These driving characteristics are variable voltage pulse waveform. We are used the piezoelectric analysis software of Finite Element Method (FEM), Piezoelectric design parameters are acquired from piezoelectric analysis, and measurement of piezoelectric. It designed for piezoelectric head to possible electric print pattern of inkjet printing system. For this validity we were established through in comparison with simulation and measurement. Designed piezoelectric specification obtained voltage 98V, firing frequency 10 kHz, resolution 360dpi, drop volume 20pl, nozzle number 256, and nozzle pitch 0.33 mm.
